Never short-circuit the + and – pins. Never disassemble, modify, destroy, throw into fire, heat, use
with non-specified applications and use after the expiry date.
Above acts may cause leakage of fluid, generation of heat, fire, explosion, destruction, or injury by
heat.
The Power Supply Unit (NBL-327) of this equipment incorporates a battery.
The battery contains dilute sulfuric acid. When the leaked liquid of the battery had a direct contact
with your clothes or skin, wash off with clean water. When the liquid infringes into your eye,
wash with clean water immediately then go to a doctor.
Do not disassemble or remodel this equipment.
Such an action may result in a fire, an electric shock, or fault of the equipment.

If water enters into the equipment, turn off the power supply switch, pull out the plug from the
outlet, and contact the Sales Department, the nearest branch company, branch office, sales office,
or any agent of Japan Radio Co., Ltd.
The water inside the equipment may result in a fire, an electric shock, or a fault.
Do not attempt checking or repairs on the internal part of the equipment by yourself.
Checking or repairs by anyone other than qualified maintainer may result in a fire or an electric

Underwater Acoustic Beacon on the PCU of this equipment incorporate a lithium battery.

Department, the nearest branch company, branch office, sales office, or any agent of Japan Radio
Co., Ltd. and ask them the replacement and recycle.
When disposing of this unit, abide the local laws and regulations. Contact the Sales Department,

Recording Control Unit directly comes out from it.

If the FAN ABNORMAL LED lights up, either of the two fans of the Power Supply Unit is out of

If the equipment is splashed either with seawater or fresh water, wipe it dry immediately. Ignoring

the surface coating.
Be sure to remove dirt and dust, if any, from the surface and wipe it with a clean dry cloth.

This equipment let the helps to detect the causes of marine accidents to prevent the recurrence in the future.
The equipment records voyage data, as required by the International Standard, during the navigation and the
hull data of the vessel.

1) Backup media
Backup media is changed into CF card from ATA card.
Adapter of CF card is a standard accessory.
2) Initial setting of ship’s heading
When connecting a heading data by a Synchro or Pulse signal, alarm is outputted at the startup of VDR. Input the
initial value of the heading by the Operation Panel unit.
3) Operation Panel unit
Operation Panel unit indicates the error cause by the error codes.
The table of error code is described on the Instruction Manual.

1.2.6. Operation of inputting two Radar images
1) General description of operation
FGBcreatesPNGfilesfromRGBsignalsof radar and transmits PNG files via Ethernet.
FGB have two input ports for connecting to radar.
FGB selects a recording channel from both channels.
2)Timingchart
FGB creates PNG files from both channels usually and FGB selects the one PNG file for recording.
3) Operation mode
▪Connecting the only main radar, recording the main radar image (Standard)
▪Connecting both main radar and sub radar, recording activated radar image (Standard)
▪Connecting both main radar and sub radar, recording both radar image (Option)
In this case, the storage capacity of a capsule and CF card is changed into 4GB.
4) Real time monitor data
In spite of not recording, the Radar image of both channels is captured in a cycle of 15 seconds.
All captured image data is outputted to a real-time monitor.
The image which is not recorded is also outputted to the real-time monitor.
The real-time monitor receives an image in a cycle of 7.5 seconds.
