To place the patient in the chair, unlatch the seat belt buckles
from the seat back and seat of the chair. Position the patient in
the chair, tighten buckles securely and buckle the seat belts. The
Evacuation Chair is then ready for lifting.
To transport patients, one EMS technician should lift the front
handles and another EMS technician should lift the handles from
the chair back.
The patient can then be transported to the desired area.
The extended handles have two different positions. The lock is underneath the chair seat - pull up
and adjust horizontally. Release to change horizontal position.
For extending handles, push buttons on top
to extend or return to normal position.
At the seat back are handles that will flip
out to open for transporting patients and
fold down for storage.
To unfold the chair, place one hand on the
front of the seat and one hand on the back of
the chair and push apart until it snaps and
locks into open position.
To fold the chair, engage lever under chair
seat, under the seat belt, release lever and
fold seat up.
