ADJUSTMENT
4.1 SETTING VALUES OF OPTION ITEMS
When a previous TUNER (VE-30009637) is replaced by a new TUNER (VE-30033888), it should be adjusted to the setting values in
the table below. If the TUNER of the model with the new TUNER (VE-30033888) is replaced, there is no need for adjustment.
4.1.1 SETTING VALUE OF SETTING ITEM
Make sure not to change the values that are not in the table below. If those values are changed, the unit will not operate normally.

4.1.2 HOW TO ENTER THE SERVICE MODE
(1) Press the [INFORMATION] key and [MUTING] key
simultaneously, and the SERVICE MENU screen will be
displayed. (Fig.1)

While the SERVICE MENU screen is displayed, press the []/[]
key and select the setting item.(Fig.2)

4.1.4 HOW TO CHANGE THE SETTING VLUE
(1) After selecting the correct 8-bit option line, by using the
dedicated number on the number key (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) you
can change that bit from 0 to 1 or vice versa.
Example:
Initially an option with values: "00000000"
Press "0" button: "00000001"
Press "0" button again: "00000000"
4.1.5 HOW TO STORE OF SETTING VALUE
(1) The setting value will be stored auto matically when
release the REMOTE CONTROL UNIT keys.

4. Do n't short between the LIVE side ground and ISOL ATED
(NEUTRAL) side ground or EARTH side ground when
repairing.
Some model's power circuit is partly different in the GND. The
diff er enc e of the GND i s sh own b y th e LI VE side G ND, th e
ISO LATE D( NEUTRAL) side GND a nd EA RTH side GN D. Don' t
sh ort b etwee n the L IVE si de GND a nd IS OLATE D(NEU TR AL)
side GND or EA RTH side GND and ne ver meas ure with a
m easu r in g app ar atu s ( osc illosc ope et c.) th e LIV E sid e GN D an d
ISOLATED(NEUTRAL) side GND or EARTH side GND at the
same time.
If above note will not be kept, a fuse or any parts will be broken.
5. If any repair has been made to the chassis, it is recommended
th at t he B1 set ting shou l d b e ch ecke d or adju ste d ( Se e
ADJU STM ENT OF B 1 POW E R SU PPLY).

the lead through a 10kΩ2W resisto r to the an od e b utt on .

9. Isolation Check
(Safety for Electrical Shock Hazard)

MEMORY IC REPLACEMENT
1. Memory IC
This model use a memory IC.
This me mo ry I C st or es d ata for pr op er op er ati o n of the vid eo

When replacing, be sure to use an IC containing this (initial
value) data.
2. Memory IC replacemen t procedure
(1) Power off
Sw itch of f t he p ow er an d discon nec t th e po we r co rd fr om
the wall outlet.
(2) Replace the memory IC
Init ial value must be entered into the new IC.
(3) Power on
Con nect th e po w er cord t o t he wa ll o ut le t an d s witch on t he
power.
(4) SERVICE MENU setting
1) Press MENU key and, while the displayed MENU
screen, press 4, 7, 2, 5 key on th e r em ote co ntr ol u ni t or
press MUTING key and INFORMATION key at the
simultaneously.
2) The SERV IC E MEN U scr ee n of Fig.1 i s d isp l ayed .
3) Ve rif y wh at to set in th e SER V IC E MENU, and set
what ever is n ece ssar y ( Fi g.1 ). Ref er to th e SE RV IC E
ADJUSTMENT for settin g.
4) Press the STANDARD key to exit SERVICE MENU.
(5) Receive channel setting
