The chassis and any sub-chassis contained in s ome products

5. Do n't short between the LIVE side ground and ISOLATED
(NEUTRAL) side ground or EARTH side ground when
repairing.

If above note will not be kept, a fuse or any parts will be broken.

that specified in Service manual. Excessive high voltage can
cau se an i ncr ea se in X-Ra y em ission , a rci n g and p ossibl e
com po ne nt d amag e, th er ef or e op er atio n un der excess i ve hi gh

immediately and determine the cause by visual inspection

soft X-Ray emission, components in the high voltage circuitry

To check the PW Board from back side.
1. Pull out the chassis (refer t o REMOVING THE MAIN PWB).
2. Er ect th e chas sis ver ti ca lly so th at you c an ea sily ch eck th e bac k
side of the PW B oard.
CAUTION

contacting with other PW Board.

"When conducting a check with power supplied, be sure to
confirm that the CRT EART H WIRE (BRAIDED ASS’

2. Never remove the c able tie used f or tying the wires together.
Should it be inad vertently removed, be sure to tie the wires with a

MEMORY IC REPLACEMENT
1. Memory IC
This TV uses memory IC.

W hen r ep la cing t he m emor y IC , be sur e to use an IC co nta ini ng th is ( ini tia l value ) d at a.
2. Memory IC replacement procedure
(1) Power off
Sw itch off th e p ower an d di scon nec t th e p ow er co rd fro m t he out l et.
(2) Replace the memory IC
Be sure t o use a memory IC written with the initia l s etting data.
(3) Power on
Connect th e power cord to the outlet and s witch on the p ower.
( 4)Conf irm t he sy st em co nstant v alue

1) Press the SL EEP TIME R key and se t SL EEP TIMER f or 「0 min」.

un it.
3) The SERV ICE MENU scr ee n of Fi g.1 is d isp l ayed .
4) While the SERVICE MENU is displayed, select the SYSTEM(SYS) item
wi t h ME NU ▼/▲(CH-/+) keys, and the MENU / (VOL-/+) keys is
pressed, the screen will be displayed as shown in Fig.2.
5) R efe r to the SY STEM (SY STEM CONSTA NT) TAB LE 1 a nd ch eck t he
setting items. If the value is different, select the setting item with the
ME NU ▼/▲(C H-/ +) keys an d adju st th e sett in g with th e
MENU / (VOL-/+) keys. (The letters of the selected item are
displayed in yellow.)
6) W hen ad ju stm ent has co mp le te d, t he v al ues sto re in to m emor y IC
automatically
7) Press the EXIT key t wice to return th e normal screen.
(5) Receive c hannel setting
Refer to th e O PERA TING INS TRUCTIO NS (USER'S GUIDE) an d set
