Media center IR remote
Hardware Installation:
Insert the battery:
The remote control uses 2 x AAA batteries, which are included in the package.
1.Remo e the battery compartment co er by pushing it downward.
2.Insert the batteries, and make sure to align the positi e (+) and negati e (-) ends as
indicated in the battery compartment.
3.Replace the battery compartment co er.
Position the Transceiver:
For optimum performance, make sure that the distance between the remote control and
transcei er does not exceed 7 meters. Make sure that you can point the remote control directly
at the recei er.
Connect the Transceiver:
1.Turn on your PC.
2.Plug the USB connector of the transcei er firmly into the USB port of your computer.
3.Your PC screen will show the new hardware installation wizard.
Please select “Install from a list or specific location (Ad anced)”, then click “Next”
Please insert your CD dri er into your CD-ROM and select your CD-ROM location from “My
computer”. Or acti ate Hardware updated Wizard from your “Control panel”, and select “KÖNIG
Transcei er”, then click “Next”.
The screen will show “Hardware installation”, please click “Continue Anyway”.
Please wait a while the Wizard installs the software.
click “Finish” to complete the installation.
Connect IR Emitter: ( ption)
If you recei e your TV signal through a set-top box, you must connect an IR emitter to the
Transcei er to control your TV
To connect an IR Emitter:
1.Insert the plug at the end of an IR emitter cable into the port on the back of the transcei er.
2.Attach the emitter to the front of the IR sensor lens on the set-top box.
Using the remote control:
The remote control may interact with most of the features in Media Center. Just point it at the
transcei er, and then enter your commends.
Remote controller has 6 types of buttons:
Playback buttons: Control your media.
Audio-Video (AV) and power buttons: Change channels and adjust olume.
Na igation buttons: Mo e between items on the screen.
Short-cut buttons: Direct access to My Pictures, My Music, My TV, ……
Numeric key buttons: Enter TV channels or alphanumeric characters.
Teletext and fastext buttons: Access teletext functions.
Navigation buttons
Use the na igation buttons to mo e between items on the screen in Media Center

Mo e to the item on the left or mo e to the menu
Mo e to the item on the right or mo e from menu to folder item

Volume
Adjust the olume
+,- CH/PG Change the channel
Mute Mute the sound. Press again to resume the sound
Short-cut buttons
Li e TV Switch to li e TV if TV is not currently playing. If TV is paused, skip to li e programming
Record
TV
Go to recorded TV page
DVD
Menu
Display the DVD menu
My TV Go to my TV
My Videos Go to my ideos
My Music Go to my music
My Picture Go to my picture
Guide Go to electronic programming guide
Numeric buttons
Number 0~9 and *, #
Enter Press to submit the characters you ha e typed
Clear Press to delete characters you ha e types
Playback buttons
Use the playback buttonns to control the playback or display of your media – picture, music, ideos and TV
Pause Pause current playing media. Press again to resume.

Forward Speed up currently playing media
Skip For album or playlist, skip to next song. For recorded TV, skip ahead 29 sec.
Replay For album or playlist, play pre ious song. For TV, go back 5 sec.
Record Record current TV show or program
Teletext Buttons (For European ersion only)
Media Center supports Teletext if it is a ailable in your area. The colored Fastext buttons work like the Teletext
buttons on a standard Teletext-enabled TV.
Teletext Page 100 (Teletext home page) will appear in a few seconds and completely replace the TV picture,
but it will not affect the TV sound.
Fastext The red, green, yellow and blue keys Fasttext-buttons are short-cut buttons and react depending
from the current teletext site.
Troubleshooting:
Q: When I press buttons on the remote the LED on the front doesn’t light or lights only weakly.
A: Try inserting new batteries. The battery power could be low or batteries could be placed
incorrectly.
Q: When I press buttons on the remote the LED is lit, but nothing happens.
A: Please make sure the followings are true:
-The remote control is within 20 feet of the recei er.
-You are pointing the remote control directly at the recei er.
-The IR sensor on the recei er is not co ered up or no light is directly shining on it.
-You ha e not exited or minimized Media Center Edition.
