• Overheatedoilorfatcanigniteonthehob.
Cooking must be monitored.
Never pour water onto oil or fat that has
ignitedsincethereisariskofburns.Cover
the cookware to smother the flames.
Switch off the cooking zone and let the
cookware cool down on the hob.
• Electric appliance connection cables
mustnotcomeintocontactwith hot cook-
ing zones since this may result in a short
circuit if the cable insulation material be-
comes damaged. Always keep electric
cables away from the hob.
• Neverplacecombustibleoreasily-inflam-
mable objects or objects which may be-
come deformed on heating right under-
neath the hob.
• Caution:infantsandchildren are particu-
larly at risk of suffering burns or scalds
since they are not yet able to recognise
therisks.Alwayskeepsmallchildrenaway
fromthehobandonlyallow older children
to use the hob under supervision.
• The surfaces of heating and cooking
appliancesbecomehotduring operation.
For this reason small children must
always be kept away from them.Always
usepotholders and oven gloves anduse
yourappliancewithcare in ordertoavoid-
ing burning and scalding.
Safety instructions
• Do not put any metal objects, such as
knives, forks, spoons and tops of jars or
bottles onto the induction hob since they
may become hot.
• Switchthecookingzone offwiththe touch
control.Donotuse the potdetectionfunc-
tionalone,inorder to avoid the appliance
beingswitchedonagainunintentionally.
• Magnetising cookware made of steel,
steel enamel or cast iron must be used
forcooking and baking withtheinduction
hob.
• High-pressurecleanersandsteamjetsmay
notbeusedforcleaningtheappliance.
• Should any tears or breaks occur on the
glassceramichob,theappliancemust be
put out of operation, since there is a risk
of electrical shock. Switch off the cook-
ing zones and the appliance fuse in the
fuse box. After doing so, please contact
customerservice.
Avoiding damage
• Glass ceramic hobs can be damaged if
objects are placed on them.
• Glassceramichobsare extremelyrobust,
but they are not unbreakable. Hard or
sharpobjectswhichfallontothehobmay
damage the surface.
• Grainsofsand orroughcast-ironpotscan
scratch the surface and the trimmings.
• Donotpushanycookware around on the
hobsincethismayscratchthetrimmings.
Liftup cookware when moving it from one
cooking zone to another.
Proper use
The induction hob is designed to be built
into a worktop. It may only be used for
preparing food in homes.
It may not be used for any purpose other
than that for which it is intended.
