Aquarius Kettle. At Kambrook, we believe
that the safe performance of our products
is the first priority in any consumer
product so that you, our valued customer,
can confidently use and trust our
products.We ask that any electrical
appliance that you use be operated in
asensible fashion with due care and
attention placed on the following
important operating instructions.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

ACTIVATING THE APPLIANCE
AND RETAIN THEM FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS BEEN
DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR
THE PURPOSE OF BOILING
WATER.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
SHOULD THIS PRODUCT BE
USED TO HEAT OR BOIL OTHER
LIQUIDS OR FOODSTUFFS OR
SUBSTANCES / MATERIALS.
Ensure that the power source to be used
is the same as the voltage requirements of
the product.
Always switch off at the outlet and then
unplug when not in use, beforemoving,
cleaning and storing.
Always ensure kettle is switched off
before removing/replacing kettle to base.
Place appliance on a dry, level surface.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handle for
lifting and carrying the appliance.
Never immerse the cord, plug, kettle or
power base in water or any other liquid.
Keep clear of walls, curtains and other
heat or steam sensitivematerials.
Minimum 200mm distance.
The appliance is not intended for use by
young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
Young children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Do not let the power cord hang over the
edge of a table or counter, touch hot
surfaces or become knotted.
Do not leave kettle unattended when in use.
Do not place on or near a hot gas burner,
electric element, or in a heated oven.
Do not use outdoors.
Suitable for domestic use only.
This appliance is not intended for use
in moving vehicles or boats.
The installation of a residual current
device (safety switch) is recommended to
provide additional safety protection when
using electrical appliances. It is advisable
that a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA be
installed in the electrical circuit supplying
the appliance. See your electrician for
professional advice.
CAUTION: This kettle should be
used with a residual current device
(safety switch) to lessen the risk of
scalding or other injury from hot
water that maybe ejected if the
heating element ruptures.
Disgregardthis point if your home is
fitted with a residual current device
(safety switch).
CAUTION: Do not operate on an
inclined surface. Do not operate
unless the element is fully
immersed. Do not move appliance
while switched on.
Regularlyinspect the cord, plug and actual
appliance for any damage. If found
damaged in anyway, immediately cease
use of the appliance and return the
appliance to the nearest authorised
Kambrook Service Centre for
examination, replacement or repair.

Features of your Kambrook Aquarius Kettle (KAK36)
1. Hinged lid opens for easy filling and

UsingYour
Kambrook Aquarius Kettle
Before first use of your new Kambrook
Aquarius Kettle, clean the element and
internal section of the container by boiling
the kettle full, following the instructions
below, and then discard water.
NOTE:The Kambrook Aquarius Kettle (Model
KAK36) must only be used with the power base
supplied.
To fill the kettle, open the lid by pulling up
on the handle on the lid.

Do not fill abovethe max water level line
or belowthe minimum water level line
marked on the water window.
Do not overfill the kettle as this may
result in boiling water being splashed out
and too little water will result in the
kettle switching off before the water has
boiled.
Place the kettle (or cordless base and
kettle) on a level, flat surface. Ensure that
the lid is locked firmly in place and then
place the kettle securely onto the power
base (KAK36 only).
Connect power cable supplied to
appliance (KAK35 only).
Important: Make sure this plug is firmly
inserted into socket.
Connect 3 pin 230/240V plug to power
supply. Turn power on.
Push the On/Off switch up, located at the
base of the handle.The 'on' light will
illuminate indicating that the kettle is
boiling water. Once the water is boiled
the kettle will automatically switch off.
For KAK35 corded kettle, switch power
off at the power outlet and removeplug
from power point and then from kettle
beforepouring water as required.
For KAK36 cordless kettle switch off at
the power outlet and then lift the kettle
from the power base and pour as
required using the handle.
Takecareto hold the kettle level
especially when filled to the maximum
level.
Kettle can be returned to cordless base
when not in use.
Ensure that the power is switched of at
the power outlet when the kettle is not in
use.
NOTE: Use caution when pouring water from your
kettle, as boiling water will scald. Do not pour the
water too quickly.

CAUTION: Do not operate on an
inclined surface. Do not operate unless
the element is fully immersed. Do not
move while switched on.
Failure to observe these cautions
may result in damage to the kettle.
MaintainingYour
Kambrook Aquarius Kettle
Safety Boil Dry System
Your Kambrook Aquarius Kettle is fitted
with a safety device that protects against
overheating should the kettle be operated
with insufficient water. In this instance, the
kettle will immediately cease heating.This
feature will turn the kettle off and allow
the kettle to cool before further
operation.The device will automatically
reset itself when the unit has cooled
sufficiently.
Thermal Cut-out
This featurehas been built into your
Kambrook Aquarius Kettle. In the event
that your kettle does malfunction this
feature will prevent overheating.This
safety feature will automatically shut down
the kettle to prevent further damage (and
usage). If this does occur, please take your
kettle to an authorised Kambrook Service
Centre.
Cleaning
Always switch off at the power outlet and
then unplug before cleaning, moving or
storing the appliance.
WARNING! NEVER IMMERSE
THE KETTLE, POWER BASE,
CORD OR PLUG IN WATER OR
ANY OTHER LIQUID
Additionally ensure that moisture does
not come into contact with cords,
plugs, kettle or power base.
Interior Cleaning
Removal of Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits in the water may cause
the kettle interior to discolour.
This may be removed using a Kettle
De-Scaler available form most
supermarkets and hardware stores.
Alternatively you can make your own
solution. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of
white vinegar and the remainder with
water and allow to stand overnight.
DO NOT BOIL. Empty the solution from
the kettle. Fill the kettle again with clean
water, bring to the boil and discardwater.
Repeat and the kettle will then be ready
for use.
Exterior Cleaning
Always ensure that the power is switched
off and unplug the kettle from the
power outlet prior to cleaning.
The exterior of the kettle can be cleaned
with a damp cloth and then dried
with a dry clean cloth.
Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning
solutions or hard brushes for cleaning
as these may scratch and damage the unit.

Replacement Warranty
KAMBROOK warrants the purchaser
against defects in workmanship and
material, for a period of 12 months from
the date of purchase (3 months
commercial use).
Guarantee and purchase receipt for this
product are to be retained as proof of
purchase and must be presented if making
aclaim under the terms of the
KAMBROOK guarantee.
KAMBROOK reserves the right to
replace or repair the appliance within
the warranty period.
Warranty does not apply to any defect,
deterioration, loss, injury or damage
occasioned by, or as a result of the misuse
or abuse, negligent handling or if the
product has not been used in accordance
with the instructions.The guarantee
excludes breakages and consumable items
such as kneading blades.
This warranty is void if there is evidence
of the product being tampered with by
unauthorised persons.
If the product includes one or a number of
accessories only the defective accessory or
product will be replaced.
In the event of KAMBROOK choosing to
replace the appliance, the guarantee will
expire at the original date, ie. 12 months
from the original purchase date.
In Australia, this KAMBROOK Guarantee
is additional to the conditions and
guarantees which are mandatory as
implied by the Trade Practices Act 1974
and State and Territory legislation.
