About Your New
Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron
The Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron features 100% pure ceramic plates to ensure
healthier styling and optimal results. Hair is left smooth, frizz free and full of shine.
Your new styling iron is designed to create endless hairstyles including curls and
waves which are full of body and last all day. Your styling iron heats up to its set
temperature in about 15 seconds and beeps to notify you when it is ready for
use.

Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, especially if children are present, basic safety
precautions should be followed at all times;
Please read all of the instructions before using this appliance.
- ALWAYS unplug your styling iron after use.
- Do NOT touch the heating plates.
- ALWAYS keep your styling iron away from water to avoid damage and electric
shock.

- As with most electrical appliances, electrical ports are electrically charged even
when the switch is off (so please be careful).
- Do NOT reach for any electrical appliance that has fallen into water, if this
happens, unplug the appliance immediately.
- Do NOT use any attachments that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do NOT use this styling iron for any other use other that what is stated in this
manual.
- NEVER operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not
working properly or has fallen into water.

The Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron is designed to leave hair straight and smooth
all day without using any extra styling aids such as hair spray and shine serums,
however, if your hair is dry, damaged or extremely curly, you may want to finish
your straight style off with a finishing spray or serum to help hold the style all day.

Helpful Styling Tips
1. Use your styling iron only after you have washed your hair. This will prevent hair
residue from building up on the plates of your styling iron which can cause
damage to your hair.
2. Use your styling iron on dry hair only. This Professional Styling Iron is meant for
dry hair styling only, do not use on damp or wet hair, as hair becomes more
prone to damage when not completely dry.
3. For bleached, fragile, damaged and/or fine hair types, the lowest temperature
setting is recommended.
4. For coarse, thick and/or resistant hair that is in a healthy condition, the
maximum heat setting is recommended to save time and effort.

5. It is highly recommended that with any type of heat styling, that you use a
heat protectant styling aid on your hair first, to keep it looking its best. We
recommend Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil with Heat Protectant which is
available online.

How to Use Your Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron to
Create a Sleek, Straight Style
1. Once your hair has been washed and dried, section your hair into layers, so
that you can work from the under layers and work your way up.
2. Taking 1 inch sections at a time, gently clamp the plates of your styling iron
near the roots of your hair, then SLOWLY glide the styling iron down the section
of hair, keeping the styling iron straight until the ends of the hair come out from
between the plates.
3. Repeat step 2 until you have gone through all sections of your hair, working
from the bottom layer up.

How to Use Your Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron to
Create Soft Curls
1. Once your hair has been washed and dried, section your hair into layers, so
that you can work from the under layers and work your way up.
2. Taking 1 inch sections at a time, gently clamp the plates of your styling iron
near the roots of your hair and rotate the styling iron 180 degrees, then gently
and SLOWLY glide the styling iron down towards the ends of your hair. Shape
the curl with your fingers and spray lightly with a flexible hold hairspray.

How to Use Your Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron to
Create Silky Waves
1. Once your hair has been washed and dried, section your hair into layers, so that
you can work from the under layers and work your way up.
2. Taking 1 inch sections at a time, gently clamp the plates of your styling iron near
the roots of your hair and rotate the styling iron 180 degrees, then gently and
QUICKLY glide the styling iron down towards the ends of your hair. Shape the
wave with your fingers and spray lightly with a flexible hold hairspray.

How to Use Your Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron to
Flip Hair In or Out
1. Once your hair has been washed and dried, section your hair into layers, so
that you can work from the under layers and work your way up.
2. Taking 1 inch sections at a time, gently clamp the plates of your styling iron
near the roots of your hair and SLOWLY glide the iron down the section of hair
keeping the styling iron straight until the last 1 - 2 inches of hair and either curl
the styling iron under, or outwards, to flip the ends in the desired direction.

How to Use Your Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron to
Create Body and Volume
1. Once your hair has been washed and dried, section your hair into layers, so
that you can work from the under layers and work your way up.
2. Taking 1 inch sections at a time, gently clamp the plates of you styling iron
near the roots of your hair and instead of gliding the iron down, pull hair
straight up as you glide the styling iron over the section of hair to add volume
to the roots.
3. When you are near the ends of your hair, slightly rotate the hair iron in or out
to add body. For the best results, alternate curling the ends under and out for
a more natural look.

How to Take Care of Your
Karmin Salon Series Styling Iron
Properly cleaning and storing your styling iron will ensure that your new
appliance performs at its best at all times.
- ALWAYS turn off and unplug your styling iron before cleaning and storing it.
- When cleaning your styling iron always be sure that it is unplugged and cool.
Using a soft, clean cloth, gently wipe the plates and handle of your styling iron.
It is recommended to do this after every use to avoid residue from building up
on the plates of your styling iron.
- NEVER use any type of chemical cleaner, thinner, gasoline, alcohol or any other
household cleaner as this will cause damage to your styling iron.

- To properly store your styling iron, hang it up using the loop at the base of the
handle or in a drawer.
- Do NOT wrap the cord around the styling iron. You may loop it loosely for
storage purposes, being careful not to fold or crimp the cord.
