How to Setup KAS S1 Gateway
STEP 1 - Download LockKeeper App:

There are two ways to setup the S1 Gateway. Please follow the instructions relevant to your wiring
requirements.
Note: You only need to follow one method.
PoE Option: (LAN + Power Over Ethernet)
WIFI Option: (DC Plug + WIFI)
Step 1: Power up
Plug the LAN cable into the base of the gateway as pictured.

Plug the PC Plug into the base of the gateway as pictured.
Step 2: Activate with App
You will see a solid RED LED to notify you that the gateway is
powered and in config mode.
•Login to LockKeeper and go to the Setup Tab.
•Click the Gateway factory number to activate it.
•For example GWS00163

You will see a solid RED LED to notify you that the gateway is
powered and in config mode.
Login to LockKeeper and go to the Setup Tab.
Click the Gateway factory number to activate it.
For example GWS00163
Step 3: No action necessary
The gateway will automatically assign a dynamic IP address and
connect to the network.
Note: The LAN network must be DHCP enabled.
Step 3: Configure WIFI network
Enter your WIFI network SSID parameters and click config.

Step 4: Done
Flashing Green LED will notify you that gateway is connected to
the network.
Red LED will remain solid.
Step 4: Done
Flashing Green LED will notify you that gateway is connected to
the network.
Legend
Red Solid LED: Config mode
Red Flashing LED: Connecting to the internet
Green Flashing LED: Connected
How To Reset KAS S1 Gateway
To config the gateway (WIFI option only)
•Short press (1 second) and the gateway will drop the current WIFI parameters.
•Return to the app and click ‘config’ to enter new WIFI parameters.
To reset the gateway (WIFI or PoE options)
•Long press the button (>3 seconds) on the side of the gateway.
•Upon factory reset the red LED will pulse once.
•This will reset the gateway to factory defaults
Important Remarks:
•The gateway will automatically scan and discover for nearby activated locks. You do not have to
connect the gateway directly to any lock.
•It may take up to 3 minutes for the device to discover the nearby lock.
•If you move a gateway position far away from an activated lock, it will automatically drop that
connection and start new ones with other nearby locks.
