Je na Vás a jen na Vás, zda model postavíte správně, řádně zalétáte a dále budete létat v souladu s běžnými zvyklostmi a pravidly (a také selským rozu-
mem). Pokud s modely letadel právě začínáte, požádejte o radu ve Vašem modelářském obchodu nebo zkušeného modeláře v místním modelářském
klubu tak, abyste našli dobrého instruktora.
Před stavbou: Model stavte přesně podle návodu. Neměňte nebo neupravujte model, protože pokud tak učiníte, riskujete, že model může být nebez-
pečný nebo neschopný letu. Najděte si čas pro stavbu, stavějte vše pevně a spolehlivě. Použijte odpovídající nářadí, příslušenství a další vybavení, které
je v prvotřídním stavu; správně instalujte všechny části modelu a model kontrolujte před prvním a každým dalším letem.
Poznámka: My, jako výrobce stavebnice Vám můžeme zaručit stavebnici prvotřídní kvality s podrobným návodem, ale letové vlastnosti a výkony
závisí výhradně na tom, jak model dokončíte Vy. Protože nemáme žádnou kontrolu nad tím, jak model dokončíte a provozujete, nemůžeme převzít
(a nemůže být ani předpokládána) jakoukoliv odpovědnost za případné škody způsobené nebo související s provozem Vámi dokončeného modelu.

das Modell gefährlich oder ugunfähig sein kann. Finden Sie Zeit für den Bau, bauen Sie alles fest und zuverlässig. Verwenden Sie ein entsprechendes
Werkzeug, Zubehör und andere Ausstattung, die im perfekten Zustand ist; installieren Sie alle Teile des Modells richtig und überprüfen Sie das Modell
vor dem ersten und vor jedem nächsten Flug.
Bemerkung: Wir, als Hersteller des Baukastens, können Ihnen den Baukasten erstklassiger Qualität mit einer detaillierten Anleitung gewährleisten,
aber Flugeigenschaften und Leistungen sind ausschließlich davon abhängig, wie Sie das Modell fertig stellen. Da wir keine Kontrolle darüber haben,

INTRODUCTION
The hand launch glider (HLG) Der Mini FALKE (Mini Falcon) has been de-
signed with beginners looking for their very rst model in mind. You will
need some basic modeller‘s tools, glues and dopes – you will nd these
handy with any of your future projects as well. Please make yourself fa-
miliar with the building plans and this manual BEFORE you actually start
the assembly.

BEFORE YOU START
Glue: You can use solvent based modeller‘s glue (UHU® Hart etc.), medi-
um cyano (KAV9952 KAVAN Medium CA etc.) or water resistant white glue
(KAV9960 KAVAN White Glue etc.).
Dope: KAVAN Classic line Protective Dope (KAV9988) and Thinner
(KAV9990) are highly recommended.
Tools and Accessories: You will need a perfectly at building board (at
least 150x700 mm), builder’s triangle, sanding blocks/sponges with 180-
200 and 360-400 grit sandpaper, model hobby pins (KAV0355 Modeller‘s
Pins), soft at (1/4“-3/8”) brush, thin clear plastic lm to protect the buil-
ding plan/building board (a large PE bag cut open will work)..
ASSEMBLY
Wing
1) Carefully sand the entire surface of the wing halves No.1 and No.2.
2) Glue together the wing assembly jig following the picture in the centre
of the building plan.
3) Glue the wing halves together on a at building board protected with a
sheet of thin plastic lm preventing the wing from sticking to the board.
Pin down one of the wing halves; then attach the other one supported by
the wing assembly jig. Let the glue cure thoroughly.
4) Carefully sand the entire surface of the wing panels No.3. Glue them one
by one to the wing centre section using the wing assembly jig.
5) Once the glue has cured, carefully sand the entire surface of the wing.
Glue the wing reinforcement plate No.4 in place.
6) Apply a light coat of thinned protective dope to the entire wing. When
dry, lightly sand all doped surfaces with the ne sandpaper. Repeat twice
more; sand lightly once every coat has dried.
Fuselage and Tail
1) Carefully sand the entire surface of the fuselage sides No.5 and No.7.
Glue them to the fuselage No.6.
2) Carefully sand the entire surface of the tail boom longerons No.10 and
glue them to the fuselage.
3) Glue the n parts No.12 and No.13 together on a at building board pro-
tected with a sheet of thin plastic lm. Once the glue has set, round the
leading and trailing edge of the n.
4) Glue the n between the tail boom longerons No.10.
5) Sand to t if necessary and then glue the No.11 brace between the tail
boom longerons No.10.
6) Glue the wing seat supports No.8 to the fuselage.
7) Drill out the hole for the No.9 wing dowel using 3 mm drill bit; insert the
dowel in place.
8) Cut o the rudder from the n No.12. The dashed lines on the building
plan mark the position of rudder wire hinges. Stick the modelling pin
into the front edge of the rudder. Enlarge the hole slightly by twirling the
pin carefully. Make the other holes for the wire hinges in the rudder and
n. Cut two 8 mm pieces of the supplied wire and glue them half-way
into the holes in the n. Once the glue has set, glue the rudder onto the
protruding wires.
9) Carefully sand the entire surface of the horizontal tailplane No.14.
10) Prepare and install the elevator hinges and elevator in the same manner
as you did with the rudder.
11)Bevel lightlythe sides oftabs onthe top of the n No.13 in order to t the
corresponding notches in the horizontal tailplane No.14.
12) Glue the horizontal tailplane on the top of the n; use the wing assembly
jig to be sure it was square to the n.
13) Apply a light coat of thinned protective dope to the entire fuselage and
tail. When dry, lightly sand all doped surfaces with the ne sandpaper.
Repeat twice more; sand lightly once every coat has dried.
FLYING
1) Apply the supplied stickers.
2) Tie the wing to the fuselage using the supplied rubber band.
3) Pour the ballast into the nose of your model in order to achieve the
correct Centre of gravity (CG) position. Support the wing of the model
with your ngertips in the point marked „ “ on the fuselage plan.
The fuselage should be level - if the nose pitches up, add more ballast
into the nose; if the tails pitches up remove the ballast.
4) Choose a nice calm day for the rst ight of your Der Mini FALKE. The
ying eld should be a at, grassy site; free of power lines or other ob-
stacles. The model must be launched into the wind every time. Throw
grass into the air to observe the wind direction.
Hold your model with the wings and fuselage level. Launch your model
with a gentle push straight with the nose pointing slightly down. Do
not throw your model with nose up, or at greater angle than 10 degre-
es down. The model must have a certain minimum speed from the very
start to stay airborne. It is not enough to just place your model in the
air. It is better to land in tall grass in order to prevent any damage to
your model during initial trimming.
If everything is OK (correct wing and tailplane alignment, correct CG
position), Der Mini FALKE will y with the wings level in a nice glide

with its nose pointing slightly down. If the model glides straight down
to the earth a few paces in front of you, bend the elevator slightly up.
On the other hand, if the model climbs up and then stalls, you will need
to bend the elevator slightly down. If your model turns left, bend the
rudder slightly right and vice versa. Repeat the test until you achieve
a smooth long glide.
Once trimmed out you can try your rst hi-start with your Der Mini FALKE
using 15 m towline (a shing line) or a bungee (3-5 m of 3x2 mm rubber
thread and 5-10 m of thin shing line). Tie a key ring to one end (bowline
knot is the best) and a ag (a piece of red cloth) 20-30 cm from the end.
The ag makes the towline visible in the air as well as on the ground. Find
a suitable spool to keep the towline on.

ÚVOD
Házedlo Der Mini FALKE (Mini sokol je určeno začínajícím modelářům; je
to ideální model pro seznámení se základy stavby. Budete potřebovat
základní modelářské nářadí, lepidla a laky, které v budoucnu využijete i
při stavbě dalších modelů. Před zahájením stavby, prosím, důkladně pro-
studujte návod ke stavbě a stavební výkres.

NEŽ ZAČNETE
Lepidla: Můžete použít acetonová modelářská lepidla (UHU® Hart, Ka-
nagom apod.), střední vteřinové lepidlo (KAV9952 KAVAN CA 20g střední
vteřinové lepidlo apod.) nebo voděodolné disperzní lepidlo (KAV9960
KAVAN disperzní lepidlo).
Laky: Zaponový lak (KAV9988) a ředidlo pro něj (KAV9990) z řady KAVAN
Classic.
Nářadía dalšípotřeby:Dokonalerovnápracovnídeska, do níž je možno
zapichovat špendlíky (např. laťovka nebo spárovka aspoň 150x700 mm),
pravoúhlý trojúhelník nebo úhelník, brusná houbička nebo brousítko s
brusným papírem č. 180-200 a 360-400, modelářské špendlíky (KAV0355
Modelářské špendlíky), měkký plochý vlasový štětec, tenkou čirou plasto-
vou fólii na zakrývání stavebního plánu/pracovní desky (např. rozříznutý
velký polyetylénový sáček, zakrývací fólie pro malíře pokojů apod.).
STAVBA MODELU
Křídlo
1) Obě poloviny křídla č.1 a č.2 opatrně přebruste brusnou houbičkou.
2) Podle obrázku ve středu stavebního plánku ze tří dílů slepte pomocný
přípravek pro sestavení křídla.
3) Na vhodné rovné podložce slepte obě poloviny křídla k sobě. Spoj křídel
podložte plastovou fólií tak, aby se křídla nepřilepila k podložce. Jednu
polovinu přišpendlete k podložce a druhou polovinu křídla podložte
přípravkem. Křídlo nechejte zaschnout.
4) Přebruste obě uši křídla č.3 a postupně je přilepte s pomocí přípravku
ke křídlu modelu.
5) Po vytvrzení lepidla křídlo přebruste do hladka. Přilepte výztuhu křídla
č.4.
6) Křídlo přelakujte řídkým zaponovým lakem. Postupně naneste 3 vrstvy
laku, každou vrstvu po zaschnutí jemně přebruste jemnou brusnou
houbičkou.
Trup a ocasní plochy
1) Obě bočnice trupu č.5a č.7 lehce přebruste brusnou houbičkou. Potom
je přilepte ke střední části trupu č.6.
2) Brusnou houbičkou přebruste lišty trupu č.10 a přilepte je k hlavici
trupu.
3) Na rovné podložce k sobě slepte díly svislé ocasní plochy č.12 a 13. Po
zaschnutí obruste její přední a zadní stranu do kulata.
4) Svislou ocasní plochu vlepte mezi lišty trupu č.10.
5) Mezi lišty trupu vlepte výztuhu č.11. Před vlepením ji pokusně zasuňte
mezi lišty č.10. Měla by jít volně vložit. Pokud ne, obruste ji tak, aby
to bylo možné.
6) Přilepte výztuhy lože křídla č.8. a nechejte je dobře zaschnout.
7) Vrtákem o průměru 3 mm protáhněte otvor v hlavici trupu a protáhně-
te jí poutací kolík křídla č.9.
8) Ze svislé ocasní plochy č.12 odřízněte klapku směrovky. V místech
naznačených přerušovanými čárami vytvořte ohebný závěs spojující
směrovku s kýlovkou (pevnou částí svislé ocasní plochy). Postupujte
tak, že do směrovky opatrně zapíchnete modelářský špendlík. Otvor
opatrně zvětšete krouživým pohybem špendlíku. Stejným způsobem
udělejte otvory na všech naznačených místech. Odstřihněte dva kous-
ky drátku o délce cca 8 mm a vlepte je napůl do kýlovky. Po zaschnutí
na vyčnívající drátky nalepte směrovku.
9) Brusnou houbičkou lehce přebruste vodorovnou ocasní plochu č.14.
10) Stejným způsobem jako u směrovky, připravte a na drátové závěsy
upevněte klapku výškovky.
11) Výstupky na horní části svislé ocasní plochy z jejich boků lehce zbrous-
te do úkosu, aby je bylo možno snadno zasunout do výřezů ve vodorov-
né ocasní ploše č.13.
12) Vodorovnou ocasní plochu přilepte ke svislé ocasní ploše. Pomocí pří-
pravku kontroluje kolmost obou slepovaných ploch.
13) Trup a ocasní plochy nalakujte 3 vrstvami zaponového laku a stejně
jako u křídla po zaschnutí každé vrstvu laku lehce přebruste jemnou
brusnou houbičkou.
ZALÉTÁNÍ MODELU
1) Model polepte samolepkami.
2) Pomocí gumového oka připevněte křídlo k trupu modelu.
3) Do prostoru pro zátěž v přídi modelu nasypte zátěž - tolik, abyste do-
cílili správné polohy těžiště modelu. Zjistíte to tak, že prsty podepřete
křídlo v místě těžiště (na výkrese černobílá tečka ). Pokud je model
správně vyvážený, udrží se model v rovnovážné poloze (nepřepadá ani
dopředu ani dozadu).
4) Pro zalétání modelu si vyberte klidné slunečné počasí. Zvolte si vhod-
nou travnatou plochu daleko od silnice, rybníka nebo sloupů elektric-
kého vedení. Model vždy vypouštějte přímo proti větru; jeho směr
snadno zjistíte vyhozením několika stébel trávy do vzduchu.
Model uchopte pod křídlem a s přídí lehce skloněnou k zemi jej s mír-
ným švihem vypusťte. Sledujte jeho let. Houpe-li se model při letu,
klapku výškovky ohněte poněkud dolů. Klesá-li model prudce k zemi,
klapku výškovky ohněte poněkud nahoru. Zatáčí-li model doprava,
přihněte (při pohledu ze zadu) směrovku doleva. Zatáčí-li model do-

leva, směrovku přihněte doprava. Opakujte, dokud nedosáhnete ply-
nulého kluzu. Před každým letem zkontrolujte, zda je křídlo ve správné
poloze na trupu.
Po zalétání můžeme model vlekat pomocí 15m rybářského vlasce nebo
vystřelovat katapultem vytvořeným ze 3 - 5 metrů gumy 3x2 mm a 5-10
metrů rybářského vlasce. Na konec vlasce na „straně modelu“ přivažte
kovový kroužek (dračí smyčka je velmi dobrý druh uzlu pro tento účel)
a praporek (kousek červené látky, který lanko zviditelňuje při vleku a
pomáhá při vyhledávání jeho konce v trávě). Nezapomeňte na vhodnou
cívku, aby se vlasec nezamotal.

EINLEITUNG
Der Mini FALKE Freiugmodell ist bestimmt für Modellbauneulinge. Es ist
ideal, um sich mit dem klassischen Aufbau vertraut zu machen. Sie brau-
chen die grundlegenden Modellbauwerkzeuge, Klebstoe und Lackar-
ten, die Sie in Zukunft auch beim Bau von anderen Modellen verwenden.
Vor dem Baubeginn studieren Sie, bitte, gründlich die Bauanleitung und
die Bauskizze.
TECHNISCHE ANGABEN
Spannweite 710 mm

BEVOR SIE BEGINNEN
Klebstoe: Sie können Aceton-Klebstoe (UHU® Hart u.ä.), wasserdich-
te Dispersions-Klebstoe (KAV9960 KAVAN Weißleim u.ä.) oder einen
mittelüssigen Sekundenkleber (KAV9952 KAVAN CA mittelüssig u.ä.)
verwenden.
Lackarten: Zaponlack (KAV9988) und Verdünner für ihn (KAV9990) aus
der KAVAN Classic Reihe.
Werkzeuge und andere Notwendigkeiten: Perfekt ache Arbeit-
splatte (z.B. Stabsperrholz oder Leimholzplatte mindestens 150x700
mm), in die Stecknadeln eingesetzt werden können (KAV0355 Modell-
bau-Stecknadeln), rechtwinkliges Dreieck oder Winkellineal, Schleif-
schwamm oder Schleifpapiere Nr. 180-200 und 360-400, Stecknadeln,
weicher Haar-Flachpinsel, dünne klare Kunststofolie zum Abdecken des
Bauplans/ der Arbeitsplatte (z.B. ein aufgeschnittener großer Polyethy-
len Beutel, Abdeckfolien für Raummaler u. ä.).
BAU DES MODELLS
Flügel
1) Beide Flügelhälften Nr.1 und Nr.2 schleifen Sie vorsichtig mit einem
Schleifschwamm.
2) Nach der Abbildung in der Mitte des Bauplans kleben Sie aus drei Teilen
das Hilfsmittel zur Montage des Flügels.
3) Auf einer geeigneten achen Unterlage kleben Sie die beiden Flü-
gelhälften zueinander. Unterlegen Sie die Verbindung der Flügel mit
einer Kunststofolie so, dass die Flügel zur Unterlage nicht festkleben.
Pinnen Sie eine Hälfte an die Unterlage und die zweite Flügelhälfte
unterlegen Sie mit dem Hilfsmittel. Lassen Sie den Flügel trocknen.
4) Schleifen Sie beide Flügelohren Nr.3 und kleben Sie sie mit Hilfe des
Hilfsmittels an den Flügel.
5) Nach dem Aushärten des Klebstos schleifen Sie den Flügel. Kleben Sie
die Flügelstrebe Nr.4.
6) Lackieren Sie den Flügel mit einem dünnen Zaponlack. Tragen Sie
schrittweise drei Lackschichten auf, jede Schicht schleifen Sie nach
dem Trocknen leicht mit einem feinen Schleifschwamm.
Rumpf und Leitwerke
1) Beide Seitenwände des Rumpfes Nr.5 und 7schleifen Sie leicht mit
einem Schleifschwamm. Dann kleben Sie sie zum Mittelteil des Rum-
pfes Nr.6.
2) Mit einem Schleifschwamm schleifen Sie die Rumpeisten Nr.10 und
kleben Sie sie an den Rumpfkopf.
3) Auf einer achen Oberäche kleben Sie die Teile des Seitenleitwerks
Nr.12 und 13 aneinander. Nach dem Trocknen schleifen Sie seine vor-
dere und hintere Seite rund.
4) Kleben Sie das Seitenleitwerk zwischen die Rumpeisten Nr.10.
5)Zwischen dieRumpeistenklebenSie dieStrebeNr.11. Vordem Kleben
versuchen Sie, sie zwischen die Leisten Nr.10 einzustecken. Es sollte
möglich sein, sie frei einzustecken. Wenn nicht, schleifen Sie sie so,
damit es möglich ist.
6) Kleben Sie die Streben der Flügelbefestigung Nr.8 und lassen Sie sie
gut trocknen.
7) Mit einem 3 mm Bohrer machen Sie das Loch im Rumpfkopf für den
Zurrstift des Flügels Nr. 9.
8) Vom Seitenleitwerk Nr.12 schneiden Sie das Seitenleitwerkruder ab.
Erstellen Sie an den durch die gestrichelten Linien gekennzeichneten
Stellen ein exibles Scharnier, das das Seitenruder mit der Seitenru-
derosse (dem festen Teil des Seitenleitwerks) verbindet. Fahren Sie
fort, indem Sie vorsichtig eine Modellbau-Stecknadel in das Seiten-
ruder einstechen. Vergrößern Sie das Loch vorsichtig, indem Sie die
Stecknadel schwenken. Machen Sie an allen markierten Stellen Löcher
auf die gleiche Weise. Schneiden Sie zwei etwa 8 mm lange Drahtstüc-
ke ab und kleben Sie sie zur Hälfte in die Seitenruderosse. Nach dem
Trocknen kleben Sie das Seitenruder auf die herausragenden Drähte.
9) Schleifen Sie das Höhenleitwerk Nr.14 leicht mit einem Schleif-
schwamm.
10) Auf gleiche Weise wie beim Seitenruder befestigen Sie das Höhen-
leitwerksruder an den Drahtscharnieren.
11) Schleifen Sie die Vorsprünge am oberen Teil des Seitenleitwerks
von den Seiten her leicht in einen Winkel, damit sie sich leicht in die
Ausschnitte im Höhenleitwerk Nr.13 einführen lassen.
12) Kleben Sie das Höhenleitwerk an das Seitenleitwerk. Mit Hilfe des
Hilfsmittels überprüfen Sie den rechten Winkel beider Leitwerke zuei-
nander.
13) LackierenSie denRumpfund die Leitwerke mit 3 Schichten Zaponlack
und genauso wie beim Flügel schleifen Sie jede Lackschicht nach dem
Trocknen leicht mit einem feinen Schleifschwamm.

EINFLIEGEN DES MODELLS
1) Bekleben Sie das Modell mit Aufklebern.
2) Befestigen Sie den Flügel mit einem Gummiring am Rumpf des Mo-
dells.
3) Geben Sie Ballast in den dafür vorgesehenen Raum im Bug des Modells -
genug,umdierichtigePositiondesSchwerpunkts zuerreichen.Siekönnen
dies herausnden, indem Sie den Flügel mit den Fingern im Schwerpunkt
abstützen (schwarz-weißer Punkt auf der Skizze ). Wenn das Modell
richtigausgewogenist,bleibt dasModellin einerausbalancierten Position
(es neigt sich weder nach vorne noch nach hinten).
4) Wählen Sie ruhiges sonniges Wetter, um das Modell einzuiegen.
Wählen Sie eine geeignete Rasenäche abseits von Straße, Teich oder
Strommasten. Lassen Sie das Modell immer direkt gegen den Wind
iegen. Seine Richtung lässt sich leicht bestimmen, indem Sie ein paar
Grashalme in die Luft werfen.
Greifen Sie das Modell unter dem Flügel und werfen Sie das Modell mit
einem leichten Wurf zum Boden geneigt. Beobachten Sie seinen Flug.
Wenn das Modell beim Flug steigt und sinkt, biegen Sie das Höhen-
leitwerksruder leicht nach unten. Wenn das Modell steil zu Boden
iegt, biegen Sie das Höhenleitwerksruder leicht nach oben. Wenn

Seitenruder nach links. Wenn das Modell nach links abbiegt, biegen
Sie das Seitenruder nach rechts. Wiederholen Sie das, bis Sie zügiges
Gleiten erreichen. Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Flug, ob der Flügel in der
richtigen Position am Rumpf ist.
Nach dem Einiegen können wir das Modell an einer 15 m langen Schnur
schleppen oder von einem Katapult aus 3 - 5 Metern Gummi 3x2 mm und
5-10 Metern Schnur starten. Binden Sie an das Ende der Schnur auf der
Modellseite einen Metallring (die Drachenschlaufe ist hierfür ein sehr
guter Knoten) und eine Flagge (ein Stück roter Sto, der das Seil während
des Schleppens sichtbar macht und hilft, sein Ende im Gras zu nden).
Vergessen Sie nicht eine geeignete Spule, damit sich die Schnur nicht
verheddert.
