2 Preparation methods
CAUTION
Damage to product as a result of improper cleaning.
Malfunctions, unclean surfaces and risk of infection for operator and patients.
▶ When using detergents, adhere to the manufacturer's instructions.
CAUTION
Damage to product as a result of improper disinfection.
Malfunctions.
▶ When using disinfectants, adhere to the manufacturer's instructions.
▶ When disinfecting, wipe only.
▶ Do not immerse product or product parts in water or other fluids.
Note
Do not use solvents or aggressive chemicals!
2.1 Cleaning
2.1.1 Manual cleaning
▶ Switch off the instrument's main switch.
Dental chair
CAUTION
Colour transfer from textiles.
Permanent colour variation that cannot be remedied.
▶ Remove stains immediately using soap and water.

▶ Clean all exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning
fluid.
Unit body
▶ Clean all exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning
fluid.
Aspiration hoses
▶ Aspirate 150 ml (min.)/250 ml (max.) of water.
▶ Push down the dosing device once with the aspiration handpiece attached or by
hand.
▶ Aspirate DEKASEPTOL gel from the dosing device.
▶ Remove hose and place in holder.

▶ Repeat procedure for the saliva ejector and spray mist aspiration hose.

Spittoon
▶ Add one dose of DEKASEPTOL gel to the spittoon.

▶ Disperse the DEKASEPTOL gel using a brush and leave to take effect.
▶ When the requisite action time has passed, press the spittoon button.
The spittoon and drain are thoroughly rinsed.
Filters
▶ Remove aspiration hose from holder.
▶ Hold a paper towel beneath the filter receptacle on the casing.
▶ Pull filter out of casing.
▶ Fit new filter Mat. no. 0.763.3423 into receptacle.

2.2.1 Manual disinfection
Allowed disinfectants:
▪ S&M Microcide
▪ Dürr FD 322
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.
2.2.2 Automatic disinfection
Spittoon
▶ Rotate spittoon anti-clockwise and lift off.
▶ Place the spittoon in a thermal disinfector and disinfect at 95°C.
Note
Adhere to the manufacturer's instructions.

2.3 Sterilisation
CAUTION
Product damage

▶ Remove the sterilised item from the autoclave immediately after sterilising.
CAUTION
Improper sterilisation
Damage to the sterilised product.
Risk of infection for operator and patients.
▶ Do not sterilise using hot air sterilisation, chemical cold sterilisation or ethylene
oxide!
CAUTION
Moisture
Nonsterility
▶ Ensure dryness. Autoclaves with a subsequent vacuum ensure dryness. In ad‐
dition, drying can be accelerated with a 10 minute drying phase with the
autoclave door open.
CAUTION
Damage to product as a result of sterilisation.
Faulty instrument tubing.
▶ Do not sterilise instrument tubing!

For sterilising instructions, see the user instructions supplied with the respective
instruments.
3 function syringe cannula (preparation method according to DIN EN
ISO 17664)
Cannulae for the 3F handpiece (contra-angled and straight) are constructed dif‐
ferently.
▶ To prepare for sterilisation, hold down the water button on the 3 function hand‐
piece for 60 seconds and rinse the cannula.

▶ Detach cannula from 3F handpiece at an angle.
▶ Unscrew the 3F handpiece cannula in an anti-clockwise direction and in a
straight line.
▶ Sterilising the probes in an autoclave:

▶ Once it has been sterilised, fit or screw the cannula back on.
Standard tray
▶ Sterilise the standard tray in the autoclave at 135°C for at least 3 minutes.

Aspiration hose connection pieces
▶ Remove connection pieces from aspiration hoses.
Note
Sterilise the aspiration cannulae in accordance with the instructions supplied.
▶ To clean the connection pieces, hold under running water and clean with a brush.
Note
Connection pieces can be washed in a thermal disinfector at up to 95ºC and ste‐
rilised at up to 135ºC.
Cannulae
When sterilising the cannulae, adhere to the manufacturer's instructions supplied.

2.4 Filling the water bottle
▶ Remove water bottle by slowly rotating to the left.
Note
The excess pressure in the water bottle can slowly dissipate now.
CAUTION
Improper cleaning of water bottle.
Destroys the water bottle material.
▶ When rinsing the water bottle, never use water that is above 50°C in tempera‐
ture.
▶ The water bottle is not dishwasher safe.
▶ Remove protective hose from the tube of the Oxygenal doser.
▶ Pass tube through coarse filter opening on the Oxygenal bottle.
▶ Firmly twist the Oxygenal doser on the Oxygenal bottle.

▶ Rotate opening in lid to the 1.5 litre fill level
The lid locks into the fill position.
▶ Place Oxygenal bottle on a flat surface.
▶ Push the lid down until the dosage quantity exceeds the fill level.
The fluid exceeds the fill level; the excess is sucked back out to ensure an exact
dosage.

▶ Hold Oxygenal bottle in an almost vertical position and fill the water bottle.
Note
If sediment can be seen in the dosing cap, this is not contamination - it is an in‐
gredient that forms deposits following water condensation if left for a long time.
These deposits dissolve again after several dosage procedures.
