Configuring the DEC-A-W*
Refer to provided documentation for pre-set
configuration settings. The following procedures
may be necessary if purchased from distribution
stock or in order to set custom configurations.
1. Connect an Ethernet crossover cable from
the LAN/WAN port of the decoder to either a
laptop or a PC LAN port.
2. Verifiy that the static IP address on the
laptop is set to 192.168.1.x subnet.
3. Open a web browser to access the Host on its
192.168.1.101 IP address; this is the default
address for the unit.
4. Enter the following to access the GUI:
ID: admin Password: admin
Note:Ensure that all other network interface
connections including your laptop Wifi &
Windows Firewall are disabled.
5. Select: ‘Set Up’ to exit from the video
display and access the product menu.
If the IP address must be changed: Select:
<WAN Setting> make appropriate
configuration changes.
Select: <Apply>
Select: <Save>

Note: Other configuration changes can be
saved without <save/reboot> following
each individual change. However, after the
WAN settings are changed, the unit must
be rebooted. The interface can then be
accessed on the new IP address. If the
subnet of the decoder WAN setting has
changed, verify that the computer’s static
IP is changed to match the subnet of the
new IP address.
6. If the encoder default settings were
changed, Select: <Connection Setting>
and make appropriate changes to reflect
the new encoder settings.
Select: <Apply>
Select: <Save/Reboot>
7. Select: <Host Setting>to change the baud
rate for the PTZ control
Select: <desired configuration change>
Select: <Apply>
Select: <Save/Reboot>
8. Only if desired, Select:<User Account> to
change default User ID and/or password
Select: <Apply>; insert new ID and/or
password at web browser prompt
Select: <Save/Reboot>
