Your new Model HC-10 World Clock has been carefully engineered and
manufactured under rigid quality standards, and should give you satis-
factory and dependable operation for many years.
Before
using,
we
suggest
that
you
read
through
this
instruction
manual
to
become
acquainted
with
correct
operation.
Should any trouble arise with the unit, please contact your dealer, or
the nearest KENWOOD service facility.
Mi SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
*
Handle
the
power
cord
gently.
When
disconnecting
the
cord,
be
sure
to
hold
the body of the plug. Do not pull the cord.
*
Do
not
attempt
to
open
the
case,
as
it
can
result
in
electric
shock
hazards.
To
prevent
any
possibility
of
trouble,
keep
the
clock
free
of
water
and
dust.
M HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
*
Do
not
expose
the
clock
to
direct
sunlight.
Avoid
using
the
clock
in
locations
near
heat
producing
equipment
such
as
an
electric
heater.
Select
a
location
free
of
extremely
high
and
low
temperatures,
humidity,
dust,
vibration,
etc.
*
To
clean
the
case,
use
a
soft
dry
cloth.
To
remove
obstinate
dirt,
use
a
soft
cloth
moistened
with
soap
and
water.
Never
use
cleaning
solvents
such
as
thinner,
benzine
or
alcohol,
as
it
can
damage
the
surfaces
of
the
case.
Note:
If
you
wish
to
set
GMT
on
the
right
side
in
the
display,
calculate
GMT
from
the
WORLD
MAP
and
WORLD
TIME
TABLE
and
set
it
in
the
step
IT.
ADJUSTMENT

THE

(The MEMORY function can be applied to GMT by this way.)

Cautions

Time is displayed on 24-hour basis.
GMT
time
difference
can
be
set
at
one
hour
intervals.
The
clock
stops
operating
when
power
failure
occurs
or
the
power
cord
is
disconnected.
Reset
the
clock.
Correction in intercalary month:
In February the display advances from 28th February to 1st March. tn the case
of
a
intercalary
month,
the
display
should
be
set
manually
to
29th
February.
The display will advance automatically to 1st March.
