Keytec DUO User guide

KEYTEC DUO Installation Quick Guide – see user's manual for more details.
The main parts of DUO are a receiver station, a deco fixture and a pen. Remove the release
paper from the back of the deco fixture, adhere it to the back at top center position of a laptop
computer, or directly on the top center position for desktop LCD or all-in-one PC which has
deeper frame width. Attach the receiver station to the deco fixture by the the magnet built in with
the receiver.
Plug the USB cable into USB port on your computer.
Note: DUO is designed to work up to 17” (diagonal) screen, but it may work up
to 19” with the potential of losing a little accuracy near the top corners.
Remove the cap at the end of the pen. Insert 3 x LR41 batteries with +side facing up. Replace the cap.
The new batteries should last about 30 hours of continuous use. The power will
be automatically turned off when the pen is inactive for more than 30 seconds.
Press the pen tip on the display or press the lower button on the pen will activate
the left mouse click. Press the upper button on the pen will activate the right
mouse click. Press pen tip to the display and drag to perform drawing and
dragging functions.
The pen tip does not scratch the display surface. However, you may laminate a
transparent protective film over the display for further protection.
The pen tip can be easily replaced with a pen tip
holder provided. You may also replace the soft
pen tip with the ballpoint pen tip for writing on a
piece of paper with a clip board using MINT Note
functions – see reverse side for instructions.
Caution: Never use ballpoint pen tip on your
laptop or display surface.
Insert the CD, click on Install to start software installation. If
auto run does not work, Run POPStarter.exe from CD. It is
better to have the computer connected to the Internet for
update information.
After installation is completed, 3 icons will appear on the
desktop: MINT Control, MINT Interactive and MINT Note. MINT Notes
