Main Features
Continuous recording
Thevideoandaudiodatafromthefrontandinteriorviewsiscontinuouslyrecordedwhilepoweron.
WhenthecapacityoftheSDcardhasbeenreached,theoldestfilesareoverwrittenbythelatestonesina
“round‐robin”,firstin,firstoutfashion.
Pre and post event recording
Whenimpactorunusualaccelerationordecelerationisdetectedbythebuilt‐inG‐Sensorandhas
exceededthepresetlimitoroneactivatesthemanualemergencyrecordbutton,therecordedvideo
dataislocked‐inandiserasedonlybyanauthorizedpartyandbyusingaPCorlaptop,accessingtheSD
card.Eventdatarecords1minutebeforeand1minuteafter(Note:TheUsermaysetthepre‐eventtime
toeither1minute,2minutesor3minutesofpre‐eventrecording).ThenexttimetheSDcardisreadby
theunit,theunit’ssetupparameterswillbeuploadedintotherecorder.Aspreviouslymentioned,
storedeventrecordingdataintheSDcardwillnotbeerasedbytheunit,andwherethismustbedone
manuallybytheuser.

TheincludedIR(Infra‐Red)Lightmodulewithadjustmentusedthisinvisiblelightsourcetoassistin
recordingnighttimeviewsfromtheinteriorfacingcamera.
Playback of video/audio data
TherecordeddatacanbeplayedbackusingtheprovidedplaybacksoftwarewhichresidesontheSD
card.ByremovingtheSDcardandaccessingthePlayerfolderanddoubleclickingonthe“Player.exe”
linestartstheplaybacksoftware.
Data analysis
Therecordeddatacanbeeasilyanalyzedforspeed,vehiclelocationanddirectionoftravelincluding
impactbyusingthePlayerthatisfoundonconvenientlyonthesuppliedSDcard.
Unlikeotherin‐carrecordingsystems,theDriveRecorderisused
torecordbothvideoandaudiodatainacontinuousloopfashion.
Ifthevehicleisinvolvedinanaccidentsuchasacollision,impact,
andsuddenacceleration‐relatedincident,thisdataismarkedand
stored.Onemaythereafteranalyzethedatatofinditsrootcause
byplayingbackthescenesofinterestandwhereacceleration,
vehiclespeed,direction,andlocationareavailableforreview.

Operation sequence
Preparation for video recording
1. ChecktoseewhethertheSDmemorycardhasbeeninsertedintothedevice.and
connectthepowercable
2. Ifthedeviceisconnectedtopower,[HELLO]appearsontheLCDdisplay,indicating
thatthevideorecorderisinitializing.
3. Afterafewseconds,achimesoundwilloccurandthecontinuousrecordingwillbe
conductedwhiledrivingthevehicle.
Continuous recording while driving
1. DriveRecorderinformsyouofyourvehicle’sspeed,whenstopped,theunititdisplaysthetime.
2. WhenthecapacityoftheSDcardhasbeenreached,theoldestfilesareoverwrittenfor
continuousrecording.Thedatarecordedbyeithertheunit’sinternalG‐Sensororexternalmanual
recordbuttonarenotoverwritten.(ThisalarmdatamustbeerasedbytheUserwiththeSDcard
insertedinthecomputer,erasingeventdataintheDATAfolder.)
3. Whenyoustoptheengineorremovethepowercablefromthecigarettelighterplug,thedevice
stopsrecording.
Running the viewer program after driving
1. TheplayerisbuiltintheSDcardsotheuserisabletoviewtherecordeddataonanyPC.
2. ChecktherecordedSDcarddataregularlyforstableoperationofthedeviceandtheSDcard.
3. Alwaysbackupallimportantdatainadifferentstoragemedia.
