If you want the cable to be pulled back into its
housing, pull on it slightly and release it. Hold
the cable in your hand to ensure that it is
pulled back in a controlled manner. Never let

Draining Contaminated Water
When the waste water tank is full when cleaning,
the motor will stop via a oat system to prevent
water from overowing.
Switch o the motor and pump and unplug the
power.
Let the water from the vacuum hose ow into the
waste water tank by lifting the end of the vacuum
hose up.
Release the locking latches, remove the motor
head and disconnect the vacuum hose.
Remove the waste water tank, empty it and
reassemble the machine.
Before storing the machine, vacuum up half a
bucket of fresh water to ensure all parts are
cleaned. Empty both tanks of any water.
Points to Consider
For best results, use Kiam carpet detergent
powder or Kiam carpet cleaning solution. To
purchase, visit www.kiamproducts.co.uk.
Always use low foaming detergent otherwise
excessive foam will be generated which will enter
the motor causing damage to it.
Do not run pump with no water in the frest water
tank.
If fresh water tank runs out of water during use,
switch o the pump.
Ventilate carpets, sofas, etc. for 2 hours or until
dry.

Filters
Cartridge Filter: The cartridge lter should always be tted when
dry cleaning otherwise dust and large debris may penetrate into
the motor causing damage. In this case, warranty will be invali-
dated. Clean the lter regularly using a soft brush.
Sponge Filter: The sponge lter should always be tted when wet
cleaning to protect the motor from water and foam. Clean the
lter after each use using fresh water, let it dry completely before
using again.
Air Filter: The air lter is used to stop any dust or debris from
escaping during dry cleaning.

Function of Air Cleaning and Blowing
Your machine has an air blowing function
which can be equipped with a quick and
easy change. To do this, take o the air
lter cover and air lter (Picture 8) and t
the air blower cover. Then connect the
vacuum hose into the cover (Picture 9).
You can cleanse the air of any non-desired
odours in a room simply by placing the end
of the vacuum hose out of a window and
switching on the vacuum motor.
You can also clear debris such as leaves,
shavings, etc. from around the garden,
driveway, garage, etc.
