10 Para abrir la puerta, no hay necesidad
de apretar o tirar del botón rápido.
Simplemente aprieta los botones de

This gate is designed for children from 6 months to 24 months. Since each child’s skills develop at different
ages, these parameters should be monitored against your child’s own development.
When installed as instructed, between two clean, structurally sound surfaces, this gate conforms to applicable
ASTM standards.
Maintenance
No part of the gate requires lubrication. Clean using warm, soapy water or a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or bleach. Once installed, the gate should be checked periodically to ensure a safe and secure fit
and to maintain proper working order.

1Important: The Retractable Safeway
gate must be installed in a structurally
sound opening. The gate must be
mounted to rigid surfaces. Ensure mounting
surface (wall, door frame, stairposts, etc.)
is strong, rigid and has an even surface.
The gate can be fitted either inside the
opening/stairway or on the wall besides the
opening/stairway. If using gate on the top of
the stairway, it must be 6” from the top step.
2The mesh part of this gate can be rolled
out from any angle. Please make sure of
the position you need before installing,
including which side of the opening you
want the handle to be placed.
Note: If the gate is not installed vertically,
the locking system may not work properly.
3NOTE: If you will be installing the
Lower Locking Bracket and Lower
Locking Hook onto a baseboard, it will
be necessary to use wall spacers with
the Upper Locking Bracket and
Upper Locking Hook to ensure they
are even and on the same plane vertically.
This can be done by measuring the
thickness of the baseboard and finding
a spacer or combination of multiple
spacers to equal it.

4Para empezar, recorte la plantilla de
papel por la línea señalada y coloque la de
la abrazadera de bloqueo (1) donde le
gustaría instalar ese lado de la puerta.
Marque las posiciones de los agujeros para
los tornillos como se indica y retire la
plantilla. Con los tornillos cortos, fije la
abrazadera de bloqueo inferior en su

1Importante: La puerta de seguridad
replegable se debe instalar en una abertura
de estructura sólida. Debe montarse en
superficies rígidas. Asegúrese de que la
superficie de montaje (pared, marco de
puerta, barandillas, etc.) sea firme, rígida y
tenga una superficie plana. La puerta se
puede colocar dentro de la abertura o
escalera, o en la pared que está al lado de
esta. Si pone la puerta en la parte superior
de la escalera, esta debe estar a 6” del
último escalón.
2La malla de esta puerta se puede
enrollar desde cualquier ángulo.

4To begin, cut out the paper Template
along the dotted line and place the Locking
Bracket side (#1) where you would like
to install that side of the gate. Mark the
screwhole positions as indicated and
remove the Template. Using the
Short Screws, screw the Lower Locking
Bracket into place. Using the Long
Screws, screw the Upper Locking
Bracket into place. Repeat this same
process using the locking hook side (2) on
the opposite side of the opening.
5The Short and Long Screws included
are for mounting directly into wood.
If mounting into brick, drywall or other
surfaces, use appropriate hardware.
If installing into hardwood (i.e. oak),
drilling a pilot hole may be necessary.
6To install the gate, align the markings
on the top of the gate just above the arrow
shown on the Upper Locking Bracket.
At the same time, align the bottom of the
gate to the Lower Locking Bracket and
push down until you hear a click and the
gate is securely locked into place.
