The S27x GSM 3G M2M RTU supports upgrade firmware by USB port, please follow below instructions to
upgrade it if you required to upgrade the firmware.
Step 1: Connect the unit to the computer using the USB cable.
Step 2: Open the uint 's back cover, turn the Upgrade Firmware Switch to “Load” side.

Step 3: Connect the external DC Power to the RTU, and Switch ON the S27x RTU by the power switch.

Step 4: install software, extract the software.
Step 5: Click install shortcuts
Step 6: Install USB Drvier
Please Contact the unit to the PC by USB Cable, and then install the USB Driver to the computer from the
CD firstly. When successful, it can be found out at the device manager of the XP or Windows 7 or Win10,
please see the below photo. Also, the driver for different OS can be downloaded from Silicon Laboratories,
Inc. http://www.silabs.com , the model is CP210x.

 

Select the correct “Port Name”, and then click the “Next”.(This is very important to choose the Correct
Com port at you computer’s Device Manager.)

Step 7: Click the “Remove protection”→”Yes”.

 

Step 8: After Removing protection then click the “next”.
Step 9: click the “next”

 

Step 10: Select
Step 11: Click Browse Button to select downloaded firmware file.
Step 12: Select →Click the “next”,download program file.

 

Step 13: When download successfully ,Click the “Close”, now Switch the “Upgrade Firmware Switch” from
Load side to the “Work” side.
Step 14: Restart the unit(Switch OFF then Switch ON the power switch) to enter the working status.
