1 GETTING STARTED

prot ction films on th lid, out r cas (Pls. pay att ntion to nvironm nt
prot ction!). Th n, wash th acc ssori s and th inn r pan in warm
wat r. Dry AquaCh f® w ll b for us . Mak sur that th l ctrical
parts r main dry. Th AquaCh f® is quipp d with an adjustabl
th rmostat and indicator lamps.
2. B for conn cting th applianc , pl as ch ck if th voltag indicat d
on th bottom of th applianc is in accordanc with th main voltag
in your hom .

Please read all and fully understand instructions and
operating procedures before using the AquaChef®
Before operating the AquaChef® or any electrical device, important
safety precautions should always be followed:
•R ad all instructions
•Do not touch hot surfac s. Us handl s or knobs.

not imm rs cord, plugs, or control unit in wat r or oth r liquid.

•Unplug from outl t wh n not in us . Allow to cool b for putting
on or taking off parts, and b for cl aning applianc .
•Do not op rat any applianc with a damag d cord or plug or
aft r th applianc malfunctions, or has b n damag d in any

facility for xamination, r pair, or adjustm nt.

Plugging in your AquaChef®:
A short pow r-supply cord (or d tachabl pow r-supply cord) should b us d
to r duc th risk r sulting from b coming ntangl d in or tripping ov r a
long r cord.
Long r d tachabl pow r-supply cords or xt nsion cords ar availabl and
may b us d if car is x rcis d in th ir us .
If a long r d tachabl pow r-supply cord or xt nsion cord is us d:
1) Th mark d l ctrical rating of th cord s t or xt nsion cord
should b at l ast as gr at as th l ctrical rating of th
applianc ; and
2) Th cord should b arrang d so that it will not drap ov r th
count rtop or tabl top wh r it can b pull d on by childr n or
tripp d ov r unint ntionally.
1. This applianc has a polariz d plug (on blad is wid r than th oth r)
(S Fig. 1). As a saf ty f atur , this plug will fit in a polariz d outl t
only on way. If th plug do s not fit fully in th outl t, r v rs th plug.
If it still do s not fit, contact a qualifi d l ctrician. Do not att mpt to
d f at this saf ty f atur .

17. Op n th lid and g ntly withdraw th bask t. Use caution the basket
and food will be hot
18. Pr ss th Pow r Button to turn th AquaCh f® off. (S Fig 4.)

5 MODE SET-UP
Th r ar ight buttons: START, STOP, MODE, TEMP, TIME,+/- and
POWER.
Th r ar 3 mod s:
1. Targ t T mp ratur Mod
2. Curr nt T mp ratur Mod
3. Cooking Tim / R maining Tim Mod
Pr ssing th Mod button scrolls through th 3 mod s. In ach mod th
buttons function in th following mann r.
Target temperature mode:
•Plus button incr as s th s t cooking t mp ratur by 1 d gr (in
curr nt units F° or C°) to maximum of 210F° (98C°)
•Minus button d cr as s th s t cooking t mp ratur by 1 d gr (in
curr nt units F° or C°) to a minimum of 90F° (32C°)
•Mod button chang s mod to Cooking-tim mod
Current temperature mode:
•Only mod button works. All oth r buttons ar Non-functional.
•Mod button chang s mod to Targ t t mp ratur mod
•If no button is pr ss d, th curr nt t mp ratur is indicat d in curr nt
units
Cooking Time / Remaining time mode:
•Plus button incr as s th cooking tim by 1 minut .
•Minus button d cr as s th cooking tim by 1 minut .
•Mod button chang s mod to Targ t t mp ratur mod
•If no button is pr ss d, th r maining cooking tim is indicat d
Whil in any mod if no button is pr ss d for 20 s conds, th n th syst m
go s to Cooking / R maining Tim mod and shows th tim r maining.

6 CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
TO REPLACE THE WATER
Mak sur that th AquaCh f® and th wat r hav compl t ly cool d off
b for r placing th wat r (r mov th plug from th sock t!). R plac th
wat r aft r v ry us .
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•Cl an th AquaCh f® on both th insid and outsid r gularly
•Cl an th outsid of th AquaCh f® with a damp cloth and dry with a
soft, cl an cloth.
•N v r us abrasiv cl an rs or spong s.
•Th bask t and th handl can b cl an d in warm, soapy wat r. Dry
w ll b for using again
•Wh n r placing th wat r you can also cl an th insid of th
AquaCh f®. Empty th AquaCh f® and first cl an th insid with a
pap r tow l and th n with a cloth dipp d in soapy wat r. Th n wip
with a damp cloth and allow todry thoroughly.
•All compon nts, with th xc ption of th l ctrical parts, may b
cl an d in warm soapy wat r. Dry thoroughly b for us .
•Dishwash r cl aning is not r comm nd d.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT apply pr ssur on th h at r coil as it may l ad to
failur of insulation
