Disconnect the drain hose at the drain connection by sliding the hose clamp away from check valve
with pliers, and remove the hose from the check valve.
Grasp hoses and pull them through the side. CAUTION: Do not loosen or disconnect any wires or
connections when removing hoses. Remove the screw and retainer from the hose bracket. The existing
drain hose may be used for making the drain connection upon installation. If the existing hose cannot
be used, a new hose along with any required fittings may be purchased from your KitchenAid dealer.
DO NOT use the existing fill hose to connect water supply to the dishwasher.
8. Set the dishwasher upright. Open the door and remove the two #lO flat head wood screws that retain
the wood top, The angle brackets will remain fastened to the machine. Pull the top forward and lift it
off. The top will not be needed and may be discarded.
9. If the dishwasher is to be installed at the end of a counter, the right or left side panel (whichever side
will be exposed) will have to be re-attached.
Using a hacksaw, cut the hose anchor bracket (removed during step 5) at the scored line. Discard the
smaller of the two pieces. When fastening either side panel, remove the rear panel mounting bracket
(on.top of the tank) from the side on which the panel is to be installed and replace it with the mod-
ified bracket. This bracket, along with the screw and countersunk washer, will be used to secure the
side panel. See Fig. 11.
10. Check to make sure the stainless steel washer is in place on the wash arm support shaft and then re-
place the wash arm, rack, and silverware basket.
11, Hemove tape from rinse agent dispenser and replace the front panel.
12. The dishwasher is now ready for undercounter installation.
