IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read all instructions. Misuse of appliance may result in
personal injury.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse
cord, plugs, or Electric Kettle in water or other liquid.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory,
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used by or near children.

7. Unplug Electric Kettle from outlet when not in use and
before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the
nearest Authorised Service Centre for examination,
repair or adjustment.
9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
10. Do not use outdoors.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or
in a heated oven.
12. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or
touch hot surfaces.
13. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF,” then remove
plug from outlet.
14. Do not use Electric Kettle for other than intended use.
15. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in
operation.
16. Refer to the "Care and Cleaning" section for
instructions on cleaning the surfaces in contact with
food.
17. WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is
boiling.
18. CAUTION: Position the lid so that steam is directed
away from the handle.
19. Avoid spillage on the connector.
20. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat
after use. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles.

21. The Electric Kettle is only to be used with the stand
provided.
22. The Electric Kettle should only be used to heat water.
23. Do not use the Electric Kettle with a loose or weakened
handle.
24. Do not clean Electric Kettle with abrasive cleaners,
steel wool, or other abrasive materials.
25. To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use
alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning; instead use a
soft cloth and a mild detergent.
26. Do not overll Electric Kettle. If the Electric kettle is
overlled, boiling water may be ejected.
27. Do not operate the Electric Kettle on an inclined plane.
28. Do not operate the kettle unless the element is fully
immersed.
29. Do not move while the kettle is switched on.
30. Do not use the Electric kettle without lid properly
closed. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during
the brewing process.
31. Never pour water on hot or burning fat.
32. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
33. This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, ofces, and
other working environments
- farm houses
- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential
- type environments
- bed and breakfast type environments.

Before using your Water Kettle, fill with water to the maximum level, boil; then discard
water.

The temperature gauge will rise as
the water heats.
NOTE: The Water Kettle will stop
automatically once the set temperature is
reached. The heating cycle can also be
turned off manually by pressing POWER.

of the base. The controls will light
up and the Water Kettle will begin

Preparing hot beverages and tea is easy with the KitchenAid Pro Line Water Kettle. For
best results when making tea, follow the directions on your tea’s packaging for suggested
water temperature. If the tea does not have directions, follow the chart below as a guid
line.

USING THE WATER KETTLE
WATER TEMPERATURE GUIDE FOR BEST RESULTS
IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, always
disconnect the Water Kettle from the
electrical outlet and make sure that the
Water Kettle has cooled completely.
Calcium deposits may form on the interior
metal parts of the Water Kettle. To get the
best performance from your Water Kettle,
clean periodically. The cleaning interval
will depend on the hardness of the water
you put into the Water Kettle.

Water
Wash Water Kettle and base by hand with
a damp cloth. Dry and polish with a soft
cloth. Abrasives and scouring agents of
any kind are not recommended.
The use of a commercial descaler is
recommended.
If a commercial descaler is not available:
1. Fill the Water Kettle with white vinegar
to the MIN (0.25 L) mark.
2. Add water to the 0.75 L mark.
3. Boil and allow to stand overnight.
4. Empty the solution from the Water
Kettle.
5. Fill the Water Kettle with water, bring
to a boil and drain out the water.
Repeat this step twice. The Water Kettle
is now ready to use.

Inserting the filter: The filter is located
behind the spout inside the Water Kettle.
Open the lid. Slide the filter down into
the slot behind the spout, making sure
that the curve facing outward on the filter
matches to the curve of the kettle.
Removing the filter: Open the lid. Grasp
the top of the filter, behind the spout,
and pull out to remove.

Preparar bebidas quentes e chá é fácil com a chaleira KitchenAid Pro Line. Para obter
melhores resultados ao fazer chá, siga as instruções da embalagem do chá para ver
informações sobre a temperatura de água. Se o chá não tiver instruções, use a planilha
abaixo como referência.

na lateral da base. Os controles se

IMPORTANTE: Antes de limpar, sempre
desconecte a chaleira da tomada elétrica
e certifique-se de que a chaleira esfriou
completamente.
É possível que se formem depósitos de
cálcio nas partes metálicas do interior da
chaleira. Para obter o melhor desempenho
da sua chaleira, limpe-a periodicamente.
O intervalo de limpeza depende do tipo
da água que você coloca na chaleira.
Recomenda-se o uso de um produto
comercial para remover depósitos de
cálcio.

Água
Limpe a chaleira e a base com um pano
úmido. Use um pano macio para secar
e polir. Produtos abrasivos e agentes
agressivos de qualquer tipo não são
recomendados.
Se um produto comercial anti-cálcio não
estiver disponível:
1. Encha a chaleira com vinagre branco
até a quantidade MÍNIMA (0.25 L).
2. Adicione água até a marca de 0.75 L.
3. Ferva a água e deixe-a por uma noite.
4. Esvazie a solução da chaleira.
5. Encha a chaleira com água, deixe ferver
e retire a água. Repita este passo duas
vezes. Após o procedimento, sua chalei-
ra estará pronta para ser usada.

Como colocar o filtro: O filtro está
localizado atrás do bico dentro da
chaleira. Abra a tampa. Deslize o filtro
para baixo na ranhura atrás do bico,
certificando-se que a curva para fora do
filtro corresponde à curva da chaleira.
Como remover o filtro: Abra a tampa.
Segure a parte superior do filtro, por trás
do bico e puxe para remover.
