3. Installation
Repeat the following steps for each hinge leaf on the K&F SPECTRA 212 transport lid!
3.1 Steps 1 – 4

1) Insert the cylinder head screw (b) into the compression spring (c).
2) Insert the cylinder head screw (b) with the pressure spring (c) into the bore
provided in the Transport Cover.
3) Screw the self-locking M6 nut (d) onto the cylinder head screw (b) from
below until it is flush with the thread end.
4) To check for correct function, push the screw heads fully into the
counterbore. Make sure the screws automatically return to their protruding
position.

5) Assemble the components as shown:
Slide the Allen screw (e) with a washer (a) from below through the bore at
the transport-lid bottom. Then, slide on the following components in the
given order:
• washer (a)
• hinge leaf as shown (f or g)
• plate spring with the curvature downwards (h, see detailed view)
• plate spring with the curvature upwards (h, see detailed view)
• self-locking M8 nut
Tighten the Allen screw (e) while making sure that you can still screw the
hinge leaves (f, g) in and out with ease.
6) Check the correct orientation and position of the hinge leaves.

Tip
The hinge leaves of the K&F SPECTRA 212 rigging aid set are easily accessible even with the
transport lid mounted.
1) To unscrew the hinge leaves of the
K&F SPECTRA 212 rigging aid set,
press the locking screw mounted
right in front of the selected hinge
leaf.
2) Rotate the leaf clockwise by 90°
across the locking screw.
3) Make sure the locking screw has
moved up from the lid again and
locks the hinge leaf.
4) Repeat the previous steps for the
remaining three leaves.
