INFRARED EAR THERMOMETER INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing an Infrare Ear Thermometer. Please rea the following
instructions to achieve the most accurate temperatures an safe operation. Your Infrare
Ear Thermometer is inten e for monitoring human bo y temperature in the home an is
appropriate for all ages. It is less invasive than a rectal thermometer, is easier an faster
than stan ar oral measurements an can even be use while a chil is sleeping.
1. Method of Use

2) Power on an off
Press “ON/OFF” button on the thermometer, the isplay will show all of the icons
momentarily (Figure 2). After the last rea ing appears on the isplay about 2 secon s
(Figure 2), the “---” mark will be isplaye , the thermometer will beep along with a
flashing “ ” or “ ” to in icate the unit is rea y for measurement. (Figure 2) ℃ ℉
Thermometer will automatically shut off after approximately 1 minute of non-use. User
also can press the “ON/OFF” button to turn off.

3) Taking a Rea ing
Gently insert the probe in the ear as far as it goes in the irection of the ear rum an
press the “MEASURE” button. The unit will beep after 1 secon ; this in icates the
measurement is finishe .
When the temperature reaches or excee s 37.5 , the thermometer will soun a℃
continuous beep.
To repeat measurements, wait until the “℃“mark flashes.

4) Changing Mo es
Press an hol the “MEASURE” button approx. 4 secon s, “--- ” or “--- ” appears on℃ ℉
LCD an remove your finger from the “MEASURE” button. Then press the “MEASURE”
button an toggle between the mo es. The unit will automatically enter esire mo e
after toggling has stoppe for 5 secon s.
Note: Press an hol the “MEASURE” button, when “--- ” or “--- ” appears on LCD,℃ ℉
user shoul release the button imme iately. If LCD isplays other symbols, please turn
off an then try again.
5) Recalling Measurements in Memory
Press the “MEASURE” button while the unit is off, “---M” will isplay an flashes on①
LCD.
Press the “MEASURE” button again, LCD will isplay the first temperature rea ing an②
symbol “---M” flashes simultaneously. Continue to press the “MEASURE” button to view
the next previously store measurements. The last 12 measurements taken are
automatically store into memory.
If no rea ing is store , the isplay will rea “---”, “ ”, “---M” an “---M” mark flashes.③ ℃
Notes: To recall measurements, the unit must be turne off first, an then press
“MEASURE” button to view measurements in memory.
6) Low battery Warning
The battery nee s to be replace when the low battery warning symbol appears on the
isplay, otherwise thermometer may experience measurement errors. When the battery
power is below the minimum value, the isplay will show blank an the battery must be
replace before the thermometer can be use . (Figure 3)

7) Beyon the measuring range
If the temperature rea ing is above 43 or 109.4 , “H” symbol will be isplay an “ ”① ℃ ℉ ℃
or “ ” mark will not blink. (Figure 4)℉
If the temperature rea ing is below 32 or 89.6 , “L” symbol will be isplay an “ ” or② ℃ ℉ ℃
“ ” mark will not blink. (Figure 4)℉
If the operating environment temperature is above 40.0 or 104 , “RHI” symbol will③ ℃ ℉
isplay an “ ” or “ ” mark will not blink. (Figure 5)℃ ℉
If the operating environment temperature is below 5.0 or 41.0 , “RL0” symbol will④ ℃ ℉
isplay an “ ” or “ ” mark will not blink. (Figure 5)℃ ℉

2. Handling, Storage, and Transport Environments

3. Battery Specifications and ife
Battery: 2xAAA batteries
Installation: Sli e the battery cover off, insert the new battery with the positive
(+) an negative (-) symbols facing the “+” an “-” symbols on the unit.
If you will not be using the thermometer for 15 ays or longer, please remove
the battery.
The battery can be use for more than 5,000 times’ measurement, an can
stan by for more than one year.
4. Gentle Care and Important information
1) To Clean an Store
Probe is waterproof esign, user can clean the probe with wet cotton swab. ⊙Wipe off
irt on the main unit with a ry cloth; never put unit bo y into any liqui .
Avoi store the unit un er ba environment temperature, such as store the unit in the⊙
car which un er irect sunshine.
Protect the thermometer severe impact an shock. Do not touch the probe lens with⊙
fingers. Do not attempt to isassemble the unit, except to replace the battery.
2) Measuring Notes
This pro uct is esigne to avoi probe lens cover. No nee to use probe lens cover.⊙
Clean the probe tip before an after each use. Avoi the accumulation of sweat an⊙
cerumen (earwax) affecting the infrare measurements.
Do not measure temperature within 30 minutes after eating, exercise, or bathing.⊙
It’s better to wait at least 1 minute between successive rea ings. If user taking⊙
temperature continuous in a short time, temperature errors are normal. In this event,
please take the average.
Bo y temperature is no absolute stan ar value. Please try to recor personal bo y⊙
temperature measurement in aily life as a reference.
After turn on the unit or in the process of operation, if the screen isplays unrea able⊙
co e, please remove the batteries an re-insert them. Then switch on again to continue
measurement.
