Before Use
hoose a safe location and avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near any
heat sources.
Avoid environments subject to vibrations, excessive dust, cold or moisture.
Due to the risk of electric shock, do not open the casing. Should a foreign object
accidentally find its way into the interior of the unit, contact the Kogan customer
support team.
Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this may damage the
finish. A clean, dry cloth is recommended for cleaning.
Keep a copy of this manual handy for future reference.
Product Layout

1. Tone Arm Rest: this rest is used to hold the tone arm while you are loading
your record.
2. RPM: 45 RPM adaptor
3. Arm Clip: This specially designed arm clip secures the tone arm when not
in use, at an upright position. When the unit is in use, fold this tone arm
down so as to not block your record.
4. Tone Arm: The turn table comes with a ready to use, pre-balanced tone
arm and cartridge. The tone arm is raised and lowered by hand. Please note
that the tone arm needs to be moved away from its resting position on the
arm clip for the turntable motor to start.
5. Cartridge Protector: Please remove the plastic cartridge protector before
placing the cartridge on a record by sliding it forward, off the cartridge.
6. Rubber Mat: Protects your record while playing.
7. RCA Output: Use to connect to external speakers (not included).
8. USB Jac : For charging and connecting to P or Mac for recording and
editing via USB cable.
9. 33/45: Alternate play speeds between 33/45 RPM.
Listening to a Record
1. Lower the ARM LIP so you can place a record down.
2. Place a record on the turntable and set the player speed to match the
record speed.
Note: when playing a single (a 45 rpm record) and/or records with large
center holes, use the 45 rpm adapter.
3. Remove the needle arm from its rest and gently move it to the desired

position over the record. The turntable platter will begin when the arm is
moved towards it. Gently let the needle arm descend onto the record to
begin playing.
How to replace the needle
To replace the needle, please refer to the instructions below.
Removing the needle from the cartridge
1. Place a screwdriver at the tip of the needle head shell and
push downwards in the direction shown in image A.
2. Remove the needle head shell by pulling it forwards and
pushing downwards.
Inserting the needle
1. Hold the tip of the needle head shell and insert it by pressing
in the direction illustrated in image B.
2. Push the needle head shell upwards in the direction illustrated
in image as until the needle locks into the tip position.
PC Hardware and Software Installation
Note: connect your turntable to your computer with the USB cable. No extra
drivers are required.
Hardware Installation
The audio capture device doesn't need any driver installation, as Windows OS will
install the driver automatically. Please connect the audio capture USB connector
into one of your computer's free USB2.0 ports. The system will note “Found new
hardware.” Please wait for a moment until the system reports “The device is ready
to use”. Please check that the hardware has installed correctly.
Right click “My omputer” and select “Properties”, then select “Hardware” and
click the “Device Manager”.
Then please click “Sound, video and game controllers”, where you will then find
the device name - “USB Audio Device”.

Software Installation
Insert the D (supplied) into the D drive and follow the onscreen instructions.
Once the software is installed, you can connect the unit to your computer using
the USB cable to transfer your audio.
Please insert the D into your D drive and double click “My omputer”, then
click the “USB Turntable” D icon.
Please double-click “audacity” to install the software, then click or select “next”, “I
accept the agreement” and/or “Finish” to finish the software installation.
Operation
You may need to unplug, then replug the unit into the computer once the initial
software installation has completed. Once the program starts up, please follow
these steps.
Double-click the “audacity” icon on your desktop, then select
your preferred language and click “OK”.
Please click the “edit” option in the top row of the software
panel, then select “preferences”.
Please select the recording device to be “USB Audio
Device”, and channels to be “2(Stereo)”. Select “Play
other tracks while recording new one” and “Software
Play Through (Play new track while recording it)”, then
click “OK”.
To start recording the analogue audio to the digital
MP3 format, please click the red record key to start
recording the audio that you desire. When the audio
that you want to record has finished, please click the
yellow stop key.

On the first time through these steps, you will need to perform
some extra steps to export as an MP3 file. To do this, click
“File”, then select “Export As MP3”.
Navigate to the location on your drive where you would like
to store the audio files, and give the audio a file name.
Finally you should add any additional artist or album
information you can in the ID3 tags. This will help you sort your
music on a portable music device.
You will then be able to save your MP3 file and transfer it to
your iPod, Smartphone or other digital streaming device.
MAC OS Hardware and Software Installation
Please connect the USB cable to your computer's free USB2.0 port.
You will need to check that the drivers are installed.

Operation
You may need to unplug, then replug the unit into the
computer once the initial software installation has
completed. lick the “audacity” icon on your
computer.
Then click Audacity > Preferences

lick Recording
hoose “Hardware Play Through: Listen while recording
or monitoring new track” and “Software Play Through:
Listen while recording or monitoring new track”.
