TOOLS NEEDED FOR THIS INSTALLATION:
• #1 Phillips Screw Driver
• Master Link Pliers
• #2 Allen Tool
• #3 Allen Tool
• #4 Allen Tool
• T27 Torx Tool
STEP 1:
Shift to lightest gear and
switch off clutch.
STEP 2:
Remove chain and wheel.

STEP 4:
Unwind the cage to relieve the tension.
STEP 5:
Remove clutch cover and gasket.
STEP 3:
Remove stop screw.

STEP 7:
Remove spring, dust cover and washer.
STEP 8:
Remove stop pin from your new Kolossos XTR.
STEP 6:
Remove cage w/ 4mm hex tool
and T27 torx tool. Hold clutch so
doesn’t come off.

STEP 10:
Slide Kolossos pivot into derailleur. Make sure to align
and hold clutch to make sure it doesn’t slide off.
STEP 11:
Install w/ 4mm hex tool.
STEP 9:
Install silver washer. Add spring
and seal. We recommend to start
w/ high tension position for the
spring.

STEP 13:
Rotate spring to add tension.
STEP 14:
Reinstall rotation stop screw.
STEP 12:
Check for smooth rotation.

STEP 16:
Install the chain over the front ring, smallest cog. Chain
length is correct if there is a minimal tension on the
cage.
STEP 17:
Adjust the derailleur position, upper and lower limit and
b-tension as per Shimano’s instructions.
STEP 15:
Reinstall clutch cover. Pay
attention to gasket that it goes in
the right way. Then tighten cover
screws.
