Before You Begin
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Metal surfaces are sharp
and can cause severe cuts. Use gloves and handle the sink
edges carefully.
Observe all local plumbing codes.
Shut off the hot and cold water supplies.
Unpack the new sink and carefully inspect for damage.
Verify that all included materials are present.
Return the sink to its carton until it is time to install it.

1. Prepare the Countertop
For existing installations, carefully lift the old sink out of the
countertop. Compare the existing cut-out to the required cut-out
size. If needed, enlarge the cut-out hole according to the
directions for new installations.
NOTE: The front edge of the sink should be at least 1/2″(1.3 cm)
from the countertop edge.
For new installations, carefully place the sink upside down on the
countertop in the desired position. Be careful not to damage the
sink finish. Make sure the sink will not interfere with the cabinet.
Trace the sink outline on the countertop. Do not cut along this
line.
Draw a line 3/8″(1 cm) inside the sink outline.
Before cutting, measure the cut-out line you just drew and
compare it to the overall sink dimensions. The cut-out line should
be 3/4″(1.9 cm) smaller than the overall sink dimensions.
For sinks that require countermount faucets, locate and mark the
faucet hole centerlines on the countertop. Allow a minimum
distance of 2-3/8″(6 cm) between the faucet centerline and the
edge of the sink.
Drill a pilot hole inside the cutting line. Using a jigsaw or keyhole
saw, cut along the inside line to cut out the opening in the
countertop.

2. Install the Faucet Fitting
For sinks that require countermount faucets, drill the previously
marked faucet holes and install the faucet according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
For sinks with faucet holes, install the faucet to the sink
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Install the Sink
Temporarily position the sink in the countertop opening. Verify
the fit and position. Make any needed adjustments.
Carefully remove the sink from the countertop opening. Place the
sink upside down onto the carton.
Install the strainer to the sink according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Clean the countertop.
Carefully position the sink into the countertop opening.
4. Secure the Sink to the Countertop
Place the aluminum lug onto the channel hook of the sink.
Place the cap against the underside of the sink and tighten the
screw until there is a tight fit between the sink and the
countertop.
Apply a continuous bead of quality sealant to the edge of the
sink rim to create a seal between the sink and the countertop.
Immediately wipe away any excess sealant, and fill any voids as
needed.

5. Complete the Installation
Connect the drain and faucet supply fittings.
Turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your
STERLING product:
•Use a mild detergent such as liquid dishwashing soap and warm
water for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners that may scratch
or dull the surface.
•Carefully read the cleaner product label to ensure the cleaner is
safe for use on the material.
•Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area
before applying to the entire surface.
•Do not allow cleaners to sit or soak on the surface.
•Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately
after cleaner application. Rinse and dry any overspray that lands
on nearby surfaces.
•Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive
material such as a brush or scouring pad to clean surfaces.

Based on the classification specified above, Sterling, a division of
Kohler Co., (Sterling) sinks are warranted to be free of manufacturing
defects within the time of the specified model’s limited warranty from
date of sale.
Sterling will, at its election, repair, rectify or replace a fixture when
Sterling’s inspection discloses any such defects occurring in normal

usage within the time period of coverage stated above. Sterling is not
responsible for removal or installation costs where replacement is
indicated. Damages due to improper handling, installation or
maintenance are not considered manufacturing defects and are not
covered by this warranty. This warranty is valid for the original,
consumer purchaser only.

1. Préparer le comptoir
Pour des installations existantes, retirer délicatement l’ancien
évier hors de l’ouverture du comptoir. Comparer la taille de
découpe à celle requise. Si nécessaire, agrandir la découpe selon
les instructions pour des nouvelles installations.
REMARQUE : Le rebord avant de l’évier devrait être au moins à
1/2″(1,3 cm) du rebord du comptoir.
Pour des nouvelles installations, placer l’évier à l’envers sur le
comptoir à l’endroit désiré. S’assurer de ne pas endommager la
finition de l’évier. S’assurer que l’évier n’interférera pas avec le
meuble. Tracer le pourtour de l’évier sur le comptoir. Ne pas
découper le long de cette ligne.
Tracer une ligne de 3/8″(1 cm) à l’intérieur du pourtour de
l’évier.
Avant de découper, mesurer et comparer la ligne de découpe avec
les dimensions générales de l’évier. La ligne de découpe devrait
être de 3/4″(1,9 cm) plus petite que les dimensions générales de
l’évier.
Pour des éviers nécessitant des éviers à montage sur comptoir,
localiser et marquer l’emplacement des axes des orifices du
robinet sur le comptoir. Prévoir une distance minimale de 2-3/8″
(6 cm) entre l’axe centrale du robinet et le bord de l’évier.
