5 PREPARING TO INSTALL
1Remove the front and rear running boards
and remove the bottom trim as shown in
the first illustration.
Refer to the second illustration if necessary
to locate the clips.

2To remove the top trim, use a 10mm
socket to remove the screw and unclip the
trim.
3Repeat the same operation on the passenger side.

1Position the driver-side vehicle anchor
plate (part#9) as shown in the photo.

2Using a 13/64"drill bit, drill 4holes using
the piece as a guide (2forward and
2back).

3Use 4drilling screws (item#Q21) to
secure the vehicle anchor plates.

4Insert a punch into the front top anchor.

5Place the top seal back in place and
gently knock on the plastic (against the
punch) using a rubber mallet.
This will accurately mark the location of
the hole to be drilled later.

6Cut the bottom of the trim as shown in
the photo.
Using a tapered drill bit, drill a hole of
sufficient size to insert the vehicle anchor
plate sleeve into it.

7Replace the trim and then replace the
screw using a 10mm socket.

8Mark the 3holes to be drilled in the
bottom trim using a punch and rubber
mallet as shown in the photo.
Drill the 3holes to let the sleeves out and
reposition the trim in place.
Adjust the size of the holes as necessary
to allow the trim to enter freely without
forcing.
Reinstall the front and rear running
boards.
