INSTRUCTIONS
• Mount the transition piece with the nozzle you want on the outlet of the pump (1).
• Optional: mount the distribution valve (2) for branching off to Brooklet or waterfall.
• Place the filter in the pond. Never place the filter in the bottom sludge but use an eleva-
tion, made from number of stones.
• This pond filter is a biological filter. This means that the biological action will optimize
after a few weeks. During the growing season it is advisable to let the filter function con-
tinuously. When the filter will be at rest during a longer period of time ( hours or more),
the colony of bacteria will die for the greater part. Add nitrifying bacteria to start up the
biological process.
• During the winter season, at temperatures below 0ºC, the filter should be switched off.
Clean all parts and keep them in a dry frost-free place.
• Please ensure that in case of maintenance the electricity supply to the UV-C Unit and the
pump will be switched off.
• The effective life of the UV-C lamp is ca. 7000 hours. It is advisable to replace the UV-C
lamp at the beginning of the pond season.
INSTRUCTIONS
• Monter le raccord avec le gicleur désiré sur le sortie du pompe (1)
• Facultatif : monter la vanne de dérivation (2) pour une chute d'eau ou pour un débit en
ruisselet.
• Placer le filtre dans l’étang. Toujours s’assurer que le filtre n’est pas encrassée de gross-
es particules d’impuretés ou de déchets en suspension. Le poser par exemple sur une
assise de briques superposées.
• Il s’agit d’un filtre biologique. Il faut attendre quelques semaines avant de voir la filtration
biologique produire entièrement ses effets et être optimisée. Pendant la belle saison, il
est recommandé de faire fonctionner le filtre en continu. L’arrêt de fonctionnement du
filtre pendant une période relativement longue ( heures ou plus) entraîne la mort de la
colonie de bactéries. Ajouter des bactéries nitrifiantes pour faire démarrer la filtration
biologique.
• En hiver, lorsque la température est inférieure à 0ºC, arrêter complètement la filtration.
Nettoyer toutes les pièces et composantes du filtre et les conserver en un endroit sec à
l’abri du gel.
• En cas d’entretien, mettre toujours le module UV-C et la pompe hors tension.
• La durée d’une lampe UV-C est de 7000 heures. Il est recommandé de la remplacer en
début de saison.
