The seeding controller has two programs:
1 – A seed counting program using optoelectronic sensors for precision seed drills (maximum 12 rows).
2 – A program including counters to count the area, time, distance and speed.
The device is made up of the following:
- A control unit installed in the tractor, which is used to enter data and control the seed drill. The unit generates
audio and visual alarms in the event of problems.
- Cable form connecting the control unit and the sensors.
- Optoelectronic sensors fitted on each seeding element.
- A rotation sensor installed on its support on the seed drill rotating shaft.
1 – Using the controller to count the seed with the optoelectronic sensors
When seed goes past the optoelectronic sensor, a pulse is sent to the computer, which determines and displays the
number of seeds per hectare for each row. If the value is less than 15% of the setting entered by the user, the
controller generates an audio and visual alarm. If the difference is less than 15%, there is no alarm.
While sowing seed with a diameter of less than 3 mm (e.g. rape seed), reduce the alarm limit so that the control unit
only monitors that seed is being delivered (no counting facility in this case).
2 – Using the controller for other counting functions
When the counter is displayed, an arrow is displayed above the corresponding symbol.
Counters are available for the following:
- seeded area and total area with the tool in the working position
- speed
- working time
- output per hectare
- distance.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 – Computer.
The computer is to be fitted with its support in the field of vision of the driver.
Keep a distance of at least one metre between the computer and transmitters (CB or other) or transmission antennas.
- 2 – 12 volt connection to the battery.
The computer must be connected directly to the battery. No other device may share this connection.
Protect the power supply with a 25-Amp fuse.
- 3 – Colours of connections
BROWN = 12V
BLUE = earth
- 4 – Cable form.
The cable form and sensors are installed in the factory.
For subsequent modifications, see page 25 for the wiring diagram of the unit.
- 5 – Optoelectronic sensors
The optoelectronic sensors are fitted on the seeding elements. The connection is made via a 4-pin connector.
When seen from behind, the row to the far left is row 1.
Wire colours:
WHITE = earth
BROWN = + 12 volts
GREEN = signal
YELLOW = signal for shunt connector
IMPORTANT:
- While modifying a seed drill, make sure to replace any BNN0082 ejectors with the BNB0083 model (different
ejection height) supplied with the control unit cell.
- Make sure that the seal is in place on the connector of the optoelectronic sensor. Keep the cables safe from
friction and other harmful influences.
- Handle the cell support with care. Any deformation would misalign the cells and lead to system
malfunctioning.

- 6 – Rotation sensor.
The magnet is fitted on the hexagonal drive bar of the seed drill and must be
opposite the sensor. The sensor must be fitted at a distance of about 5 to 10
mm from the magnet (diagram opposite)
- 7 – Modifying the number of rows.
Proceed as follows to modify the seed drill, say from 8 rows to 6 rows:
- stop the control unit
- disconnect the optoelectronic sensor (4-pin connector) from the rows to
be removed
- replace the connector of the optoelectronic sensor with a shunt connector
(see page 25)
- on the control unit, change the number of rows, working width and
programming.
- 8 – Adding rows to the seed drill.
In order to add rows to an existing seed drill, you can add cells to the form, in accordance with instructions NT0006500
(attached).
PRECAUTIONS:
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE.
This devices is intended for farming machinery only.
Other uses are not covered by the guarantee.
