The standard pull type Model TP2148, TP2760 and TP3272 Cultipackers are fully assembled and
ready for use after uncrating. If the optional wheel kit was purchased with the cultipacker please see
Section A for assembly instructions. If the optional 3-point kit was purchased with the cultipacker
please see Section B for assembly instructions.

A. USING THE TOOL
The Model TP2148, TP2760 & TP3272 have been designed to be a standard pull type cultipacker
with the ability to have optional kits installed for use on multiple vehicles.
Note: Transporting this cultipacker on hard road type surfaces can result in excessive
packer wheel wear or possible packer wheel damage.
With the optional wheel kit installed this cultipacker has been designed to be flipped over on tires
for ease in transport.
CAUTION: Care should be taken when flipping the cultipacker over for either use or
transport. Place one foot on the packer wheels and securely hold when flipping. Improper
flipping can result in bodily injury and/or property damage.
With the optional 3-point kit installed this cultipacker has been designed to work on Category 1
standard 3-point and quick hitch systems.
CAUTION: Care should be taken when either mounting or removing the cultipacker from a
3-point system. Securely support the cultipacker to prevent bodily injury and or property
damage.
Note: If both the wheel kit and 3-point kit were purchased, it will be necessary to remove
the wheel kit before operating the cultipacker on a 3-point hitch mount.
For best results it may be necessary to pack the soil before seeding and then pack the soil a
second time after seeding. This is especially true with small seeds that require shallow seeding.

6
B. MAINTENANCE
There are two grease points on the cultipacker. There is a bearing on each end of the packer
wheel shaft. It is recommended that these bearings be greased at least every 4 hours. In dusty
conditions more frequent greasing may be necessary.
