BeforePuttingIntoUse
Beforeconnectingtheappliancetothepowersupply,leaveitstandingforabout2hours,whichwill
reduceapossibilityofmalfunctionsinthecoolingsystemduetotransporthandling.
Cleantheappliancethoroughly;especiallyintheinterior(SeeCleaningandMaintenance).
InstructionsforUse
Theseinstructionsforuseareintendedfortheuser.Theydescribetheapplianceandthe
correctandsafewaytouseit.Theinstructionswerepreparedforvarioustypes/models
ofrefrigeratorsthereforeyoumayfindinitdescriptionsofsomeaccessoriesand
functionsthatyourappliancemaynothave.

Ourappliancesaredistributedinpackagingmadeofenvironmentalfriendlymaterialwhichcould
safelyberecycled,disposedofordestroyedwithoutanyeffectsontheenvironmentwhatsoever.
Ourinstructionmanualsareprintedeitheronrecycledpaperorchlorinefreebleachedpaper.
TipsforEnergySavings
Trynottoopenthedoortoooften,especiallywhentheweatherishotandhumid.Once
youopenthedoortrytocloseitassoonaspossible.
Everynowandthencheckiftheapplianceissufficientlyventilated(adequateair
circulationbehindtheappliance).
Setthermostatfromhighertolowersettingsassoonaspossible(dependingonhow
loadedtheapplianceis,theambienttemperatureetc...).
Thecoilsontherearoftherefrigeratorshouldbecleanedandfreeofdustoranyother
impurities.
Iceandfrostlayerincreaseenergyconsumption,sodocleantheapplianceassoonasthe
layeris1/8”thick.
AlwaysconsiderinstructionsstatedinsectionsPositioningandEnergySavingTips,
otherwisetheenergyconsumptionissubstantiallyhigher.

appliance,followthesebasicprecautions.
Readallinstructionsbeforeusingtheappliance
Ifyouboughtthisappliancetoreplaceanoldoneequippedwithalockthatcannotbe
openedfrominside(lock,bolt),makesurethatthelockisbroken.Thiswillmakeit
impossibleforchildrentolockthemselvesinsidetheapplianceandsuffocate.
Theappliancemustbecorrectlyconnectedtothepowersupply.

Disconnecttheappliancefromthepowersupplybeforerepairingandcleaningit(onlya
qualifiedtechnicianshouldrepairit).
Useonlyenclosedtoolsortoolsrecommendedbythemanufacturer.
Forthesakeofenvironmentalprotectionbecarefulnottodamagetherearwallofthe
appliance(thecondenserunitorthetubeswhenmovingtherefrigerator)oranypartofthe
freezingsysteminsidetheappliance.Useonlyenclosedtoolsortoolsrecommendedbythe
manufacturer.

Beforethrowingawayyouroldfreezerpleaseremovethedoorsandleavetheshelvesin
placesothatchildrenmaynoteasilyclimbinside.
Theratingplateisinsidetheapplianceoroutsideontherearwall.
DisposingoftheWornOutAppliance
Whenyourappliancefinallywearsout,disposeofit.Iftheappliancehasalock,breakit
topreventeventualaccidents(dangerofchildrengettinglockedinsidetheappliance).
MaintenanceandCleaning
AutomaticDefrostingoftheRefrigerator
Thereisnoneedtodefrosttherefrigerator,becausetheicedepositingontheinnerback
wallisdefrostedautomatically.
Iceisdepositingontheinnerbackwallduringthecompressoroperation;lateron,when
thecompressorisnotoperating,iceisdefrostingandwaterdrops,collectsanddrains
throughtheoutletintheinnerbackwallintothedrainpansituatedabovethe
compressorwhereitevaporates.
CleaningtheAppliance
Disconnectthepowersupplybeforecleaningtheappliance.Donotusecoarseor
aggressivecleaningagentsasyoucandamagethesurface.
Cleantheexteriorwithwateranddetergent.Varnishedsurfacesarecleanedwith
softclothandanalcoholbasedcleaningagent(forexampleglasscleaners).Youmay
alsousealcohol(ethanolorisopropylalcohol).Theapplicationofabrasiveand
especiallyaggressivecleaners,suchasstainlesssteelcleaners,isnotappropriatefor
thecleaningofplasticandcoatedparts.
Removethedetachableaccessoriesintheinterioroftheapplianceandcleanitwith
waterandliquiddetergent.Plasticpartscannotbewashedinawashingmachine.
Washtheinterioroftheappliancewithlukewarmwater,inwhichyouaddoneor
twospoonfulsofvinegar.
Everynowandthenwipethecondenserontherearwall.Useasoftnon‐metal
brushorvacuumcleaner.
Donotforgettocleanthedefrostwaterreceptacleabovetherefrigerators
compressor(donotremovethereceptacle).Aftercleaning,connecttheapplianceto
thepowersupplyandreloadthepackages.

SwitchOfftheApplianceWhenNotinUse
Ifyoudonotintendtousetheapplianceforanextensiveperiodoftimesetthe
thermostatknobtotheSTOP(0)positionanddisconnectthepowersupply.Thenclean
theapplianceandleavethedoorslightlyopen.
Trouble‐ShootingGuide
Duringtheserviceofyourappliance,youcancomeacrosssometroublesthatinmostcasesresult
fromimproperhandlingoftheappliancethatcaneasilybeeliminated.
TheApplianceFailstoOperateAfterConnectingtothePowerSupply
Checkthesupplyintheoutletsocketandmakesuretheapplianceisswitchedon
(thermostatintheoperatingposition).
ContinuousOperationoftheRefrigeratingSystem
Thedoorwasfrequentlyopenedoritwasleftopentoolong.
Thedoorisnotproperlyclosed(thedoormaysag;thegasketmaybepollutedor
damaged).
Perhapsyouhaveoverloadedtheappliance.
Thereasonmaybeinadequateventilationofthecompressorandcondenser(assures
adequateaircirculationandwipeoffthecondenser).
IceFormationontheInnerRearWall
Aslongasthedefrostwaterrunstothechannelandthroughtheopeningtothedrainpan
onthecompressor,automaticdefrostingoftheapplianceisassured.Incasetheice
formationontheinnerbackwallisincreased(1/8”),iceshouldbemanuallydefrosted.
SetthethermostatknobtoSTOP(0)positionandleavethedooropen.Neveruseelectric
devicesfordefrostinganddonotscrapetheiceorfrostlayerwithsharpobjects.After
completeddefrosting,turntheknobtodesiredpositionandclosetherefrigeratordoor.
Thecauseofincreasediceformationmaybeoneofthefollowingreasons:
Thedoordoesnotsealwell(cleanthegasketifitiscontaminated,or
replaceitifitisdamaged).
Thedoorwasfrequentlyopenedoritwasleftopenedfortoolong.
Thefoodstoredintherefrigeratorwaswarm.
Theitemsbeingstoredaretouchingtheinnerbackwall.
WaterisLeakingfromtheRefrigerator
Incasethedischargedwateroutletisclogged,orthedefrostwaterdripsoverthe
channel,orwaterleaksfromtherefrigeratorjustcleanthecloggedopeningwitha
plasticstraw.Manuallydefrosttheincreasedicelayer.See“IceFormationontheInner
BackWall”.

Noise
Coolinginrefrigerating‐freezingappliancesisenabledbytherefrigeratingsystemwith
thecompressor,thisproducesnoise.Hownoisytheapplianceisdependsonwhereitis
placed,howit’susedandhowoldtheapplianceis.
Duringtheoperationofthecompressor,aliquidnoiseisheardandwhenthe
compressorisnotoperatingarefrigerantflowisheard.Thisisanormalcondition
andithasnoinfluencewhatsoeveronthelifetimeoftheappliance.
Afterstartingtheappliance,theoperationofthecompressorandtherefrigerant
flowmaybelouderandthisdoesnotmeansomethingiswrongwiththeappliance.
Thenoisewillreducegradually,thiswillnotaffectthelifetimeoftheappliance.
Sometimesunusualandstrongnoisesoccurwhichisratherunusualforthe
appliance.Thisnoiseisoftenaconsequenceofinadequateplacing.Toavoidthe
noisemakesuretheapplianceisplacedandleveledfirmlyonasolidbase.Make
suretheapplianceisnottouchingthewallorkitchenunitsstandingnexttoit.And
alwaysmakesureyouchecktheaccessoriesintheinterioroftheappliance;they
shouldbeplacedcorrectlyintheirpositions.Checkthebottles,tinsandother
vesselsthatmighttoucheachotherandrattle.

warrantorwillpayforfactory‐specifiedpartsandrepairlabortocorrectdefectsinmaterialsor
workmanship.Servicemustbeprovidedbyadesignatedservicecompany.Outsidethe48states,all
partsarewarrantedforoneyearfrommanufacturingdefects.Plasticparts,shelvesandcabinetsare
warrantedtobemanufacturedtocommerciallyacceptablestandards,andarenotcoveredfrom
damageduringhandlingorbreakage.

Replacementdoesnotincludelabor.
