WARRANTY
LARZEP, S.A. guarantees its products against all design and manufacturing defects for two years from the date of
purchase.Thisguaranteedoesnotincludetheordinarywearofbothmetaland non‐metalparts,abuse,usingthe
equipmentbeyonditsratedcapacityandanywearordamageincurredasaresultofusingahydraulicfluidwhichis
notrecommendedbyLARZEP,S.A.
Pleasenotethatiftheequipmentisdisassembledorservicedbyanyoneotherthananauthorizedservicedealeror
byLARZEP,S.A.,thisguaranteeisrenderednullandvoid.
Intheeventofawarrantyclaim,returntheequipmenttoLARZEP,S.A.ortheauthorizeddealerwhichsoldyouthe
hydraulic equipment. LARZEP, S.A. will repair or replace the faulty equipment, whichever is deemed most
appropriate. LARZEP, S.A. shall not be held liable for any consequential damages or losses, which may occur as a
resultoffaultyequipment.

BEFOREUSINGTHEEQUIPMENTANDESSENTIALSAFETYREQUIREMENTS
‐ ThisElectrictestpumpsHEP0250hasbeendesignedforpressurizing andtestinghydraulicsystemsandheating
systems. The pump can work with clean water, water solutions, light oils and non‐aggressive liquids with PH
between7and12andamaximumviscosityof1.5mPa∙s.
‐ Readtheinstructionmanualcarefullyandpractiseusingtheequipmentbeforeapplication.
‐ Alwaysuseprotectivegoggles,shoesandgloves.
‐ Allpumpsaretestedindividually,aretoughandveryrobustandthereforeverysafe.
‐ Donotmodifythepump(weldedparts,etc.).
‐ Usethehandlesonthepumpfortransportingthedevice.Donotusethehoseorpipe.
‐ Never exceed maximum working pressure of the pump. Ensure that all the equipment and accessories are
suitableforthemaximumworkingpressure.
‐ Neverturnonthepumpwhenthepumpisnotconnectedtotheplant.Donotpressurizethepumpwithoutbeing
connectedtoanitemtobepressurizedunlessablankingplugisfittedtotheoutletport.
‐ Nevertightenorloosenconnectionswhiletheyareunderpressure.
‐ Checkthattherearenodamagesonthepump.Iftherearewornordamagedpieces,replacethemimmediately.
‐ Respectelectricalsafetyrequirements:anyoperationmustbeperformedbyqualifiedpersonnel,onlywhenthe
machineisdisconnectedfrompower.Replaceanyelectricalcomponentsifdamaged.Keepdryanyelectricpart.
‐ Work always in a safe way. Respect general safety conditions. Before starting operation, check that the
installationiscorrect,theoperatorpositionissafeandtheworkingzoneisoutofboundstoallpersonnel.
‐ Inallcases,theoperatorshouldhavereceivedadequatetrainingregardingthehandlingofthedeviceandlogical
safetycriteriaassociatedwiththemovementofheavyloads.


ASSEMBLYANDOPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
Thecomponentsareshippedunassembledtopreventbreakageorunnecessarybulkduringtransportorthestockage
inwarehouse.Beforestartingoperations,checkifthepumphasbeenlabelledwithserialnumberandtechnicaldata.
Keeppackageforfurthertransportsorstockage.


Assemblethedeviceinaccordancewiththenextprocedure,firstcheckingthatyouhaveallthenecessarymaterial.
UsePTFEtapeonallthreadstopreventanyleakage.
Beforestartinganyoperation,cleanthetanktoeliminateanyresidueorwaste.
To avoid pressure oscillation due to air in the system, it is necessary to purge the air circuit to fill the system
completely.
1. Assemblyallcomponents.Thepumpisprovidedwithapressuregaugeandcontrolvalve.
2. Placethepumpbodyoverthetankandfixitwiththesuppliedscrews.
3. Screwonesideofthesuppliedhosetothepumpblockandtotheotherthe"TEST"valvewiththepressuregauge.
4. Placetheequipmentonaflatandsolidarea.
5. Replacethetransportationredcapwiththeventilationyellowcap.Theyellowcapdoesnotguaranteeahermetic
seal,sokeeptheredcapforotherneededtransportation.
6. Fillupthe tank and ensure the suction tube iscompletely submerged. Use anticorrosive,antioxidant fluidora
mixtureofwaterandemulsifiableoilinordertopreventoxideformationinsidethemachine.Checkthesuction
filterbeforeanytesting.
7. Connectoneendofthehighpressurehosetothe"TEST"valveandtheotherendtothesystemorequipmentto
test(pipe,tank,valve,etc.).
8. Beforeoperatingthepumpalwaysmakesurepipeconnectionsarecleanandfullytightenedup;allaccessories
must be fitted correctly and not damaged: suction tube with nut and filter, pressure gauge and hose forhigh
pressure.Alwaysuseprotectivegoggles,shoesandgloves.
9. Verifythatelectricalrequirements of the motor are according to the electric power supply in the plant. Then,
connectthemotortothepowerline.Checkthatthemotorrunscorrectly.Ensuregoodmotorventilation.Check
thatmotorcanhaveenoughfreshairflowfromthechassis.Donotallowwaterenteringthemotor.
10. Pre‐fillthesystemorequipmentbeforestartingthetestwiththesameliquidthatwillbeusedfortesting.
11. Tostartthetest,switchonthepumpandregulatetheoutletvalueofthepressureusingtheredknob.Neverturnonthe
pumpwhenthepumpisnotconnectedtotheplant.

Pressureregulationdeviceallowsworkingatdesiredpressure.For pressure adjustment, turn the pressure
regulator(redknob).Minimumpressuremaychange,dependingonincomingplantpressure.Ifyouonlywantto
setthepressureinsidethepump,withoutfillingthesystem,closethe"TEST"valve.

Checkthepressureshowninthegaugeanddonotexceedthemax.pressure.
14.
Close"TEST"valvewhenthedesiredpressurehasbeenreached.Inthiswayyouwillavoidanoverheatingofthe
pump and will be able to test the system. For long time tests, it is possible to disconnect the pump from the
systemkeepingthepressure.
15.
Donotkeepthemotorrunning“ON”withthevalve"TEST"closed.Afterafewminutes,temperatureinsideofthe
pumpwillincreaseandcoulddamagethegaskets
16. Tofinishtheoperation,openthe"TEST"valve.
17.
Waterhightemperatureandairbubblescanchangethepressureintothesystem.Haveinmindthisfactorwhen
testingbigplantswithhightemperaturedifference.
Ensurethatalltheequipmentandaccessories
aresuitableforthemaximumworkingpressure.
Thepumpmustalwaysbehandled
andrepairedbyqualifiedpersonnel.

Replacethesealsatleasteverytwoyears.
Change oil after 50 working hours first time, and then, every 500 working hours. Use mineral oil SAE30. This
maintenancetimingcanchangewithharderworkingconditions.

TROUBLESHOOTING

‐ Pumpdoesnotreachthedesiredpressure:check inorder:suctionfilter,airinthepump,pressurevalves,inlet
connections,seals.
‐ Pressure change continuously: check the presence of air bubbles in the circuit, check the presence of dirt, the
filter,valvesandseals.
‐ Pressuredrop:Checkdirtyonfilterandvalves.Checkthegaskets.
‐ Noisy pump: Check air suctions. Clean and move the valve. Clean the filter. Check water temperature. Check
mechanicalparts,particularlyballbearings.
‐ Water with oil: Change the oil and look for damaged gaskets and rings. High humidity may cause this
inconvenience.
‐ Waterleakingfromthehead:Changedamagedgasketsandrings.
‐ Oilleaks:replaceoilgaskets.
‐ Motor Hum: Turn offthe motor immediatelyand verifyifthepumpisnotblocked.Checkifthevoltageinthe
electricnetcorrespondswiththedatalabel.Rememberthatlongpowercordsmaycausevoltagelosses.Verify
voltageatthepumpplug.
‐ Motor stops suddenly: Thermicprotection switched off thepump for too high temperature. Check if voltage is
correct.Wait10minutestore‐start.
‐ Motor does not start: Check electrical connections, thermic protection, emergency stop switch and magneto
switchonthemachine.Checkdifferentialonthepowerline






Thepumpmustalwaysbehandledandrepairedbyqualifiedpersonnel.
