Quick Start Guide
Powering on for the first �me:
1. Connect power supply.
2. Red light indicates device is powered on.
3. Device boots within 15 seconds.

Note:The CTM5 controller implements a 'fallback' IP address of 169.254.1.1. This IP address is always available to use to
connect to the device regardless ofthe conuraon ofthe network interface in the GUI. Connecng this fallback IP address is
the recommended method to use when conuring the CTM5 Controller for the rst me.
Conure a computer/laptoponthe same 169.254.1.0/24 network, use 169.254.1.2 for example.
Connect an Ethernet cable directly from the computer/laptop to the CTM5 -Controller's Ethernet port.
Using a web browser onthe computer/laptop, navigateto the CTM5 Controlle r web interface at 169.254.1.1.
Sign in with the username/password listed above.
Changing the Controller's password:
Select the 'System' tab, then the 'Administraon' sub-tab.
Enter new password twice, scroll to bmof page and click "Save & Apply" bun.
Configuring the network interface IP address:
Select the 'Network' tab. On the 'Interfaces' sub-tab, click the 'Edit' bunon the 'Acons' secon on the right.
A new 'LAN' sub-tab will appear, and a separate Conuraon area.
Note:The CTM5 Controller ships with its network interface conured in DHCP client mode. To change to a stac IP address,
select 'Stac Address' from the 'Protocol' drop-down box. Click the 'Switch Protocol' bun. Enter appropriate IPv4
informaon and click 'Save & Apply' bun when ished.

Managing the CTM5 via the Controller:
Using the Blink bu�on:
The 'Blink' bun is prvided as a methdf idencana CTM5 injecr in the eld. Clicking 'Blink' will cause the CTM5
injecrlight injecr LEDs mmentarily.
Using the Query bu�on:
The 'Query' bun will cause the cntrllerpll a specic chassis fr updated infrman.
Changing Chassis or Port Names:
Chassis Name and Prt Name elds are ppulated with data pulled directly frmthe CMM5 injecr. These can be changed and
must be exactly 12 characters in length. Once changes are made, click the 'Save bun'. This change can take up30 secnds.
Web page will reldaumacally when changes have been submied. If the ‘Save bun’ is npressed within 30 secnds
aer mdifying a Chassis Namer Prt Name the name will reseheriginal name.
Turning a port (power) ON/OFF:
Click respecve Prt Status 'ON'r 'OFF' bun. This change is made immediatelyand is independenfthe Sync state.
Turning sync ON/OFF:
Click respecve Sync Status 'ON'r 'OFF' bun. This change is made immediately and is independenfthe Pwer state. The
sync funcn is disabled if the prt (pwer) is se‘OFF’.
