CONNECTION AND OPERATION
Step 1: Connect the cinch inputs of the component video input with the corresponding
outputs of a suitable source, e.g. a DVD player. The cinch inputs are marked with
Y/Pr/Pb and different colours to avoid confusion.
Step 2: If an audio transmission is wanted, please connect the stereo output with the
corresponding, white and red marked cinch inputs at the converter. The audio will
then be transmitted synchronously with the picture via HDMI.
Step 3: Connect the HDMI output with the output device. Remember the connected input
of the output device.
Step 4: The converter may now be turned on, best in the following order: source device -
converter - output device (TV, beamer, display etc.).
Step 5: If necessary, set the output device on the accordant HDMI input (see Step 3).
Notes:
•Connecting not matching connectors might lead to wrong colour displaying and
malfunctions in converting.
•Please check, if the source device (e.g. DVD player) is set on the component output.
Please follow the corresponding instructions in the manual of the producer. The used
video standard has to be PAL!
•During operation the converter may become very warm. Therefore, it is necessary that
the splitter is not covered and stands alone.
•If the blue LED glows, the converter works.

FAQ
In general, in case of technical troubles check the electrical signal connections and the power
supply (LED at converter glows) first. If this turns out to be not helpful, we arranged the
following questions and answers for you to find the cause and solve the problem.
Problem Description Possible Cause/Possible Solution
The converter does not
display a picture or audio
•Is the power supply working (LED lights) properly?
•Is the TV set on the right input interface?
•Is the output device set on the right output (esp. DVD
player)?*
•Does the source device use the TV standard PAL?*
•Is a YPbPr signal present (LED glows)?
•Is the audio signal of a analogue output (digital signals
cannot be converted)?
•Is the HDMI cable too long?
The picture has inverted
colours
•Pb and Pr cables are inverted.
The picture is too dark •The source transmits a relatively dark signal; for a better
display of details set up the brightness of the TV.*
The picture is distorted or
displayed black and white
or with wrong colours
•Does the source device use the proper TV standard
PAL?*
The pictures stalls and /or
there are picture errors.
•Is the HDMI cable too long or not sufficiently shielded?
•Is a HDMI standard used that is not supported by the
converter?
The audio L/R is inverted •Change the cinch plug connectors for L/R.
*Please follow the corresponding instructions in the manual of the producer.
If the problems cannot be solved, please don't hesitate to contact us.

AFETY NOTE
For your own safety and for long enjoyment of our product, please follow the following safety
instructions:
•Please use device as described in the manual.
•To avoid damages to the video system by inrush current, please switch the amplifier/TV
off before installing the converter. Non-compliance may cause damages to TV, amplifier
system and your hearing! The amplifier is to be switched on last, after signal source
and converter are already switched on.
•During operation the converter may become very warm. Therefore, it is necessary that
the splitter is not covered and stands alone.
•If the converter does not work normally, please disconnect the power adapter from the
circuit and try to find the cause.
•Use original factory power adapter. Do not attempt to use the converter with other
power adapters. Despite of matching plug connectors it may still damage the converter,
the signal source and the sound system! Warning: Power adapters with a higher
voltage may damage the converter.
•Do not pull on power cord when taking off the wall socket.
•Turn off power when device is not in use for a longer time.
•Do not open cover and do not touch inner parts.
•Please keep power adapter and converter dry and just use in dry environment.
