Dear customer,
our Composite Video to VGA Converter allows the connection of a composite video source to
a standard display or TFT display with VGA input and may be used either at home or at work.
The converter is uite small and has a menu for the adjustment of the output. You may use
PAL, NTSC or SECAM video sources. A VGA signal from another source can also be looped
in, so that you can use your display again with a PC in the future.
For optimum performance, please read these instructions carefully before connecting,
operating or adjusting this product. Please keep this manual for further reference.

CONNECTION AND OPERATION
Step 1: Connect your video source, like camera, video recorder, game console etc., with
the converter's input. The VGA input can be used to connect e.g. PCs or notebooks.
Step 2: Connect the VGA output with the output device. Please make sure, that the
correct input of the display is adjusted. Also the display should support at least a resolution of
800x600 or the resolution you have adjusted.
Step 3: You may now use the converter. Connect the power supply and switch on the
source device.
Step 4: If you use sources having another output than PAL (like SECAM or NTSC) you
may adjust the standard in the menu by using the menu key. If the standards do not match,
the image will be distorted or the colours will not be right.
Step 5: With the converters menu you may also adjust parameters like contrast,
colours, brightness etc. to your wishes. The converter may now
be used.

FAQ
In general, in case of technical troubles check the electrical signal connections and the power
supply (LED at converter glows) first. If this turns out to be not helpful, we arranged the
following questions and answers for you to find the cause and solve the problem.

Is the power supply / display properly connected? (You
may test the function of the converter by choosing the
menu. If this is shown, then the power supply and the
connection to the display are all right.)
Is your video input switched on?
Are all the cables Video / VGA ok?
Was the right video standard chosen from the converter's
menu?
Is the resolution of the converter too high or not compatible
with the display?
The picture is distorted
or displayed just black
and white
Was the right video standard chosen from the converter's
menu? PAL is the most frequent standard, French devices
use SECAM and the USA use NTSC.
Is the video cable too long or not sufficiently shielded?
If you use the S video input die image output may be black
and white.
The picture is unclear Is the video cable too long or is a source with insufficient
video output used?
You may adjust colour, contrast and brightness with the
converter's menu.
Adjust the output resolution to the display resolution to
have an optimal image output.

SAFETY NOTES
For your own safety and for long enjoyment of our product, please follow the following safety
instructions:
Please use device as described in the manual.
To avoid damages to the video system by inrush current, please switch the amplifier/TV
off before installing the converter. Non-compliance may cause damages to TV, amplifier
system and your hearing! The amplifier is to be switched on last, after signal source
and converter are already switched on.
If the converter does not work normally, please disconnect the power adapter from the
circuit and try to find the cause.
Use original factory power adapter. Do not attempt to use the converter with other
power adapters. Despite of matching plug connectors it may still damage the converter,
the signal source and the sound system!
Warning: Power adapters with a higher voltage may damage the converter.
Do not pull on power cord when taking off the wall socket.
Turn off power when device is not in use for a longer time.
Do not open cover and do not touch inner parts.
Please keep power adapter and converter dry and just use in dry environment.
Keep away from damp, high temperature, dusty, erosive and oxidative environment.
Do not touch with wet hands.
Keep safe from being hit or falling down.
