This player can play discs recorded in
either PAL or NTSC format.
• A single LSI chip now integrates all
major DVD playback circuit functions
including MPEG2 decoder, video D/A

connection to existing head unit aux
inputs. Video output is composite
video.
• Supplied remote handles multi-function

Handling and Cleaning
•Dirt, dust, scratches and warping disc
will cause misoperation.
•Do not place stickers or make
scratches on discs.
•Do not warp discs.
•A disc should always be kept in its
case when not in use to prevent from
damaging.
•Do not place discs in the following
places:
1. Direct sunlight
2. Dirty, dusty and damp areas
3. Near car heaters
4. On the seats or dashboard
Disc Cleaning
Use a dry soft cloth to wipe the
surface. If the disc is quite dirty, use a
soft cloth slightly moistured with
isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Never use
solvents such as benzine, thinner or
conventional record cleaners as they may
mar the surface of the disl.
Note:
A disc may become somewhat scratched
(although not enough to make it
unusable) depending on your handle it
and conditions in the usage environment.
Note these scratches are not an
indication of any problem with the player.
Preparing New Discs with Rough Spots
A new disc may have rough edges on its
inside and outside edges. If a disc with
rough edges is used, the proper setting
will not be performed and the player will
not play the disc. Therefore, remove the
rough edges in advance by using a ball
point pen or pencil as shown on the right.
To remove the rough edges, press the
side of the pen or pencil against the
inside and outside edges of the disc.

1. POWER Press POWER to turn the unit ON or OFF.
2. MUTE Press to mute the sound.
3. SUB-T Changing of the SUBTITLE language on multi-subtitle language

5. DISPLAY Display statistical disc information during playback.
6. MODE Changing between DVD mode, TV mode and AV mode.
7. SETUP Display the SETUP menu.
8. P/N Switch between PAL mode and NTSC mode.

to change settings.

13. OK Confirm the Track/Chapter selected with the numeric buttons or
selected with the cursor buttons on screen display.

25. RESUME When in stop mode, press the button, the play can be resumed
from the stop point.
26. GOTO Disc search button, cooperatively used with numeric buttons.
27. PBC Changing between PBC ON and PBC OFF on the VCD/ DVD
disc.
28. SHUFFLE Allows the track played in random order.
29. PROGRAM Allows the track played in the order you programmed.
30. REPEAT Switch the Repeat mode of discs.
31. A-B A-B repeat allows a passage to be repeated continuously.

Preparing the Remote Control
Inserting the Batteries
1. Open the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the new battery. Make sure
that the positive and negative
terminals of the battery are oriented
as indicated.
3. Close the cover
Battery: one button cell lithium
battery (CR2025 3V).
Using the Remote Control
Point the remote control towards the
player front face remote sensor (remote
control signal receiver).
Operation angle: About ±30 degree in
each the direction of the front of the
remote sensor.

Loading a Disc
When all connections have completed,
you can load a disc as follows:
1. Turn the monitor upward.
2. Press POWER button on the disc
cover of the unit to turn on the unit.
3. Slide the OPEN switch on the front
panel of the unit to left side to open
the disc cover.
4. With the printed side facing up, align
the center of the disc with the center
of the disc guide.
Press gently down on the DVD to snap
the disc into place.
5. Close the disc cover, then the player
will start play automatically.
Removing a Disc
When the disc stops playing, slide the
OPEN switch on the front panel of the
unit to left side to open the disc cover,
then you can remove the disc.

BASIC PLAY
Stopping Play
- Briefly press the (Stop) button to
stop the unit playback, when the
(Play) button is pressed, normal
playback will continue.
- Press (Stop) button twice to stop
the playback and go back to initial
Track/Chapter.
Note: During playing, when you close
the monitor downward, the TV monitor
and speakers will have no output.
When you turn the monitor upward
again, the TV monitor’s video output
and speaker output will resume.
RAPID FORWARD/RAPID REVERSE
Press & during play. Each time the
button is pressed, the speed of rapid
forward/reverse changes according to
the disc as follow.

FOR VCD/CD:
SKIPPING TRACK
Press / on the remote control or
/ buttons on the DVD unit during
playback.
Press to skip to next track, and to
back one track.
Note: For some VCD2.0 discs (PBC-
playback control), / buttons may
be unavailable.
1. Continuously repeat at the current
chapter/track, when selected REP-ONE
mode.
2. Select REP-ALL mode to continuously
repeat all chapter/track on the current
disc.

SLOW MOTION PLAY
Press / during play.
Each time the button is pressed, the speed of
slow forward/reverse changes according to
the disc as follow.
DVD:
PAUSE
Pressing on the remote control or
on the DVD during playback will stop
play temporary. To return to normal
playback, press on the remote control
or on the DVD unit.
MUTE
Will mute the sound, but the disc
continues playing. When you unmute the
sound (press MUTE again), sound will
resume.
REPEAT
FOR DVD:
Press the REPEAT button to select
repeat mode as follow.
FOR VCD/CD:
Press the REPEAT button to select
repeat mode as follow.
1. Continuously repeat at the current
chapter/track, when selected REP-
ONE mode.
2. Select REP-ALL mode to continuously
repeat all chapter/track on the current
disc.
3. When the player finishes playback of
the current disc last chapter/track, it
will stop and display the elapsed time.
When REPEAT OFF mode is selected,
REP-ONE & REP-ALL disappears
from screen display.
4. REPEAT feature does not support
VCD2.0 (with PBC ON).

PROGRAM
For CD/ VCD (WITH PEC OFF)/ DVD
(WITH PBC OFF):
In stop mode, press PROGRAM button,
the screen will display “PROGRAM P00:
00”. For example: press numeric button
4, “PROGRAM P01:04”appears. It
means track 4 will be played first, then
press numeric button 6 and “PROGRAM
P02:06”apperas. Press the different
numeric button to select the
corresponding track, and then you can
program tracks to you need. If you want
to complete program setting, press
button or OK button to play tracks in
programmed order.
For MP3:
In stop mode, press PROGRAM button,
the screen will display “PROGRAM P00:
0000”and the program method is the
same as described above. If you want to
complete program setting, press (Stop)
button first then press button to play
tracks in programmed order. Then press
PROGRAM button to exit progam mode
and “PROGRAM OFF”appears.
If you set WITH MENU in SMART NAV
item in PREFERENCES PAGE, you can
use / , / buttons to select
PROGRAM PXXX mode or track number
and press OK button to confirm it.
MODE SELECTION
Press MODE button on the monitor panel
of the unit or MODE button on the remote
control to select among DVD, TV and AV
mode.
VOLUME LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
Press VOL+/VOL- on the monitor panel
of the unit or VOLUME +/- on the remote
control to increase or decrease the volume
level.
JACK FOR EARPHONE ( )
There is a jack for earphone 3.5mm. You
can connect an earphone to the jack to
receive sound signal.

A-B repeat allows a passage to be
repeated continuously. Press A-B button
at the start of the required passage, then
press A-B button again at the end of the
passage. To revert to normal playing,
press A-B button again. Each time the
button is pressed, the screen will display
as follows:

DISC SEARCH (GOTO)
FOR DVD
Press GOTO button twice, the screen
will display the following message:
You can select the item you want to
watch through TIME setting by using
numeric buttons and ENTER on the DVD
unit or OK button on the remote control.
FOR CD/VCD (WITH PBC OFF):
Press GOTO button once, the screen will
display the following message:
Use numeric buttons to input the time
directly.
ZOOM
Allows the picture to be increased in size.
Press button Zoom button on the remote
control to toggle among 1.5 scale, 2.0
scale and 3.0 scale.
SHUFFLE
Press SHUFFLE button, track selection
will be made in random order. The display
screen will show “SHUFFLE ON”on the
right-top corner. Press SHUFFLE button
again, “SHUFFLE OFF”appears and
release the mode.

OPERATION
EARPHONE VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Slide VOLUME knob on the side of the
DVD unit to increase or decrease the
volume level of the earphone.
Note: Listening at high power for a Long
moment could damage user’s ears.
REMOTE SENSOR
Point the remote handset to the remote
sensor on the front panel. Receive the
signal from remote handset.
TURNING THE UNIT ON/OFF
Press the (POWER) button on the
DVD unit or on the remote control to turn
the unit on or off.
OPEN Button
Slide the OPEN switch to left side to
open the disc cover of the DVD. Then
you can place a disc into place.
LOW BATTERY PROTECTION
When the voltage of power supply input
is lower than 9V, the system will be
automatically protected and the “LOW
BATTERY”will appear on the screen
display. Adjust the power supply voltage
in permissive range 12V DC (11V~15V) to
let the unit work normally.
Note: the “LOW BATTERY”will appear
on the screen display for about ten
seconds, if the voltage resumes normally,
the unit will work normally ; if the voltage
still remains lower after ten seconds, the
unit will turn off.

Press the MENU button on the unit or on
the remote control during DVD, TV, AV
mode to display the adjustment items on
the screen.

Press MENU button repeatedly to
select among BRIGHT, CONTRAST,
COLOR and TINT (For the unit with NTSC
system) items and etc. Press VOL +/VOL-
buttons on the monitor panel of the unit
or VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote
control to adjust the corresponding item
Note: When you set the TV TYPE item
to “PAL”in “PREFERENCES SETUP”,
there is no “TINT”item to display.
In SPEAKER item, there is ON or OFF
to be selected. When set it to ON, you
can hear the sound from the speakers on
the unit. When set it to OFF, it will turn off
the speakers.
In SCREEN item, you can select
appropriate TV aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9)
using the VOL +/VOL- buttons on the unit
or VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote
control.
In SEARCH item, Use VOL +/VOL-
buttons or VOLUME +/- buttons to start
station search. Then press (CH+)/
(CH-) on the remote control or CH+/CH-
on the monitor panel of the unit to stop
searching.

It is possible to switch the sound
between monaural and stereo sound.
TITLE MENU FUNCTION (FOR DVD
ONLY)
If the DVD has multiple titles recorded on
the disc. It can select preferred title from
the title menu to start playback.
1. Press TITLE during playback.
- The title menu is display.
2. Press the cursor button shown in TV
screen, select preferred title by the
cursor button and confirmed by
ENTER button on the remote control
or OK button on the unit.
MULTI-SUBTITLE LANGUAGE
FUNCTION
(FOR DVD ONLY)
Press SUB-T during playback.
Each time the button is pressed, the
subtitle language changes in sequential
order.
Notes:
- The language number is different
according to the disc.
- Some discs only contain one subtitle
language.
- When no different subtitle language
are recorded, will be displayed at
screen left top corner.
MULTI-ANGLE FUNCTION (FOR
DVD ONLY)
Press ANGLE during playback.
Each time the button is pressed, the
angle changes in sequential order.
Notes:
- The angle number is different
according to the disc.
- The function only works for discs
having scenes recorded at different
angles.
- When no different angle are recorded,
will be displayed at screen left top
corner.

MULTI-AUDIO LANGUAGE
FUNCTION
For DVD:
Press AUDIO on the remote control
during playback.. Each time the button
is pressed, the audio soundtrack
language changes on sequential order.
Notes:
- The language number is different
according to the disc.
- Some disc only contain one language
soundtrack.
- When no different language
soundtrack are recorded, will be
displayed at screen left top corner.

MP3 disc is playing as the format of
FOLDER.
For example:
Use / , / on the remote control or
on the DVD unit to select the item or
folder, then press ENTER button on the
DVD unit or OK on the remote control..
Pressing REPEAT button repeatedly
can select three kinds of repeat play
mode.
REP-ONE:
Play the same song over and over again.
FOLDER REP:
Play all songs in the current directory in
sequence, over and over again.
FOLDER:
Play all songs in the current directory
once.
When PLAY MODE is selected, press /
to change between the following
mode:
During playback, use or to skip an
item ahead or back.
: Rapid reverse, : Rapid advance
Note: The FOLDER cannot be selected
during playing. It can be selected after
(Stop) button pressed.

TV OPERATION
Press the MODE button on the unit or
MODE button on the remote control to
select TV mode.
When in TV mode, the function of the
buttons served in DVD mode is locked.
Searching channels
Repeatedly press MENU button on the
remote control or on the DVD unit to
select searching mode. Then use VOL
+/VOL- buttons on the unit or VOLUME
+/- buttons on the remote control to start
station search. Then press (CH+) /
(CH-) on the remote control
or CH+/ CH- on the monitor panel of the
unit to stop searching.
Selecting channels
•Press (CH+) button on the
remote control CH+ button on the
monitor panel of the unit to choose
channel upward; press (CH-)
button on the remote control or CH-
button on the monitor panel of the
unit to choose channel downward.
•The numeric buttons (0,1~9) allow you
to select the corresponding channel
directly.
•Press digital select button 10+ (-/--)
cooperatively used with numeric
buttons to select channel desired.
