Warranty
This KOOLATRON product is warranted to the retail consumer for 90 days from date of
retail purchase, against defects in material and workmanship.

- Commercial or industrial use of this product.
- Damage caused by abuse, accident, misuse, or neglect.

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability are also
limited to duration of 90 days from the date of retail purchase.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Just plug PestContro® Deluxe into a centrally located area unobstructed by furniture
and other objects.
U trasonic Sound Features
The PestContro® Deluxe incorporates dual speakers that create a harsh ultrasonic siren
inaudible to humans. See commonly asked questions for additional information on
ultrasonic sound.
Variab e/Fixed Pitch Se ector
In the variable setting the two speakers sweep within a range of ultrasonic sound
frequencies like two squalling and conflicting sirens. If set to the FIXED setting the
speakers broadcast a single tone. You may hear the difference by pushing the TEST
button. Koolatron recommends first setting to the FIXED setting and changing to
VARIABLE if adequate results are not met.
Continuous/Random On-Off Se ector
The Random On/Off Setting automatically turns each speaker on and off randomly to
keep pests from becoming accustomed to the ultrasonic sounds. This mode will use 50%
less electricity. In the continuous setting both speakers broadcast continuously.
Koolatron recommends first setting to the CONTINUOUS setting and changing to
RANDOM ON-OFF if adequate results are not met.
F oor Night Light Switch
Switching the On/Off switch on the left side of the unit while plugged into an outlet will
turn on and off the Floor Night Light. Users enjoy this feature if PestContro® Deluxe is
placed in a hall or dimly lit area.
Test Button
When the PestContro® Deluxe is plugged into a power outlet pushing the test button will
lower the ultrasonic frequencies to an audible human level. Pushing the test button will
allow you to hear the different ultrasonic features. To avoid hearing damage do not use
the Test button for long periods of time and do not allow children to play with the test
switch.
LED’s
Each LED represents different properties of PestContro® Deluxe. The Red LED will
continually flash. While the green LED’s represent sound emitting from each of the
speakers. The Green LED’s will randomly turn on and off if set in VARIABLE setting and
will remain constantly on during other settings.
Power
The PestContro® Deluxe is powered by a 110 volt outlet or the represented power
configuration indicated on the outside of the box. For worldwide applications make sure
you are using the correct plug configuration or the proper power converter that conforms
to the local voltage and outlets. Contact your local dealer or Koolatron if you have a
question concerning power issues.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BEST RESULTS
1. Take special care not to leave doors windows basements or garage doors open as
new rodents or pests may wander in briefly before they are affected and repelled by
PestContro® Deluxe.
2. Take special care not to leave human animal or pet food supplies in open areas which
can attract new rodents or pests before they can be affected by PestContro® Deluxe.
3. Take special care not to carry in new rodents or pests when transferring food supplies
grains animal feed etc. from outside supply areas into areas not being protected by
PestContro® Deluxe.
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. HAS PESTCONTRO® DELUXE MET ANY GOVERNMENT STANDARDS?
PestContro® Deluxe is UL (Underwriters Laboratories) approved and CE approved
for European distribution. Lentek™ PestContro® products have won several awards
including the highly prestigious Smithfield Innovation Award in the UK.
2. WHAT TYPE OF PESTS WILL PESTCONTRO® DELUXE REPEL?
PestContro® Deluxe helps to control rats mice.
3. WILL PESTCONTRO® DELUXE AFFECT MY PETS?
PestContro generates ultrasonic sound waves which are above the hearing range of
humans and most dogs cats fish and birds. These ultrasonic frequencies CAN be
heard by rodent pets such as hamsters gerbils and rabbits. In order to use
PestContro in homes with Rabbits Mice Hamsters Guinea Pigs and other rodent
pets. However by positioning the unit in an area away from the rodent pet you may
not cause it discomfort..
4. DOES PESTCONTRO® DELUXE HAVE ANY AFFECT ON OTHER ELECTRICAL OR
BATTERY OPERATED EQUIPMENT?
PestContro® Deluxe does not affect any electrical appliance equipment
or security systems. Battery operated equipment will not be affected since it is not
physically connected to the unit.
5. WILL PESTCONTRO® DELUXE BE LESS EFFECTIVE IF DOORS OR WINDOWS ARE
OPENED?
The ultrasonic waves can be affected only by the physical nature of the home itself.
Ultrasound can not penetrate solid objects like walls or doors. When PestContro®
Deluxe is placed in a closed room the ultrasound would only be effective in that
room. If a door is opened the sound waves will be able to travel to other areas of
the home. The waves reflect off of solid objects and can lose some effectiveness
because of screened windows and doors. It is recommended a customer purchase
additional units if they would like the ultrasonic sound effect in additional closed
areas of the house.
6. HOW MANY UNITS WILL I NEED FOR MY HOME?
PestContro® Deluxe was designed to cover up to a 232 sq. m. (2500 sq. ft.) home. It
is necessary to purchase additional units if a home is greater than 232 sq. m. (2500
sq. ft.) or has multiple levels. However many people purchase additional single room
ultrasonic units for added protection in attics basements crawl spaces and other
problem areas. PestContro® Deluxe is also ideal for warehouses and other large
buildings with pest problems.

7. DOES THE LOCATION OF THE UNIT HAVE TO BE CHANGED?
Koolatron recommends that the unit be placed in a central unobstructed area. If
favorable results are not obtained after the first 15 days it is recommended to move
the unit to another area in the home possibly the area where pests are seen most
often. Placing the unit in the living room or across from the kitchen cabinets proves
to be an extremely effective location for ridding pests.
8. DOES PESTCONTRO® DELUXE AFFECT PACEMAKERS?
PestContro® Deluxe has never been found to affect a pacemaker.
9. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE PESTCONTRO® DELUXE TO BE EFFECTIVE?
Under normal conditions for the first few days of use there should be an increase in
visible activity of pests living within your home. This is known as the flushing out
period. The pests will leave the unpleasant environment created by PestContro®
usually within 10–14 days. However due to the 30 day gestation period of some
pests new pests may be seen after the 30 day period.
10. WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED LIFE OF PESTCONTRO® DELUXE?
Due to the solid construction and limited moving parts PestContro® Deluxe should
offer 5 years of continuous use.
11. DOES PESTCONTRO® DELUXE EVER NEED SERVICING OR REPAIR?
Under normal conditions PestContro® Deluxe requires no maintenance of any kind.
13. WILL I BE ABLE TO HEAR PESTCONTRO® DELUXE?
The ultrasound frequency is set to be heard ONLY by rodents. It is possible you will
hear a clicking sound in the random frequency.
14. CAN PESTCONTRO® DELUXE BE PLUGGED IN USING A POWER ADAPTER OR
EXTENSION CORD?
Yes.
15. HOW MUCH ELECTRICITY DOES PESTCONTRO® DELUXE USE?
Power consumption is minimal. PestContro® Deluxe uses just pennies worth of
electricity a day to operate. Tests have shown that PestContro® costs less to oper-
ate than a 40 watt light bulb.
