This guide covers only the most common situations. All detail
information is described in the user manual.

Take the companion CD, KVM Cables and the KVM Switch out of
the box and follow the steps below for installation.
1. Make sure all the computers that are to be connected to the KVM
Switch and their peripherals are in powered-off state. If not, power
them off before you proceed with the following steps.
2. Connect the shared PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, D-Sub monitor,
speaker set and microphone to the KVM switch.
3. Connect each of your computers to the KVM switch, using
appropriate KVM & Audio/MIC cables that companion with KVM
switch in the package.
(Models KVM-0212 and KVM-0412 not support audio switching)

4. Power up the connected computers one by one. After your
computers are powered up, the keyboard and mouse will be
recognized and now you can begin operating the KVM switch.
There are two methods to control the KVM Switch for PC switching:
using the Face-Panel Push Buttons or Hotkey Commands. For
audio/MIC switching, use the hotkey command.
Face-Panel Buttons
The Face-Panel Buttons allow a direct control over PC port
switching; simply press the button to switch PC port. By default, PC
port switching and Audio/MIC switching are bound together (both will
be switched simultaneously).
If you want to disable the binding of PC and audio/MIC port
switching, use the hotkey sequence, Scroll Lock +Scroll Lock + W.
To enable the binding again, just hit Scroll Lock +Scroll Lock + Q.
Keyboard hotkey
A keyboard hotkey sequence consists of at least three specific
keystrokes:
Hotkey Commands = [Scroll Lock]*+ [Scroll Lock] * +
Command key(s)

* User-definable = SCROLL LOCK, CAPS, ESC, F12 or NUM
LOCK
Hotkey preceding sequence configuration: For users who want
to use a preceding sequence other than two consecutive Scroll
Locks, there are convenient ways to configure it:
1. Hit Scroll Lock + Scroll Lock + H, then the KVM switch will be
ready for new preceding sequence selection. Or Press and hold
down the last front-panel button (Button 2 or Button 4) for over 8
seconds, and then release the button.
2. Select and press the key you would like to use as your preceding
sequence (Scroll Lock, Caps, ESC, F12 or Num Lock keys are
available for selection). Now you can use the new preceding
sequence to execute your hotkey commands.
Each keystroke within a hotkey sequence should be pressed
within 2 seconds. Otherwise, the hotkey sequence will not be
validated.

Nehmen Sie die Companion-CD, die KVM-Kabel und den
KVM-Switch aus dem Karton und installieren Sie die Teile anhand
folgender Schritte.
1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Computer, die mit dem
KVM-Switch verbunden werden sollen, und ihre Peripheriegeräte
ausgeschaltet sind. Andernfalls schalten Sie sie aus, bevor Sie mit
den folgenden Schritten fortfahren.
2. Verbinden Sie die PS2-Taststur, die PS2-Maus, den
D-Sub-Monitor, die Lautsprecher/Kopfhörer und das Mikrofon mit
dem entsprechenden Anschluss am KVM-Schalter.
3. Verbinden Sie jeden Ihrer Computer über die passenden KVM- &
Audio/MIC-Kabel, die dem KVM-Switch im Karton beigelegt sind, mit
dem KVM-Switch.
(Die Modelle KVM-0212 und KVM-0412 unterstützten kein
Audio)

4. Schalten Sie die angeschlossenen Computer nacheinander ein.
Nachdem Ihre Computer eingeschaltet sind, werden die Tastatur
und die Maus erkannt und Sie können mit der Bedienung des
KVM-Switches beginnen.
Es gibt zwei Methoden zur Kontrolle Ihres KVM-Switches für
PC-Schaltung: mit den Drucktasten auf dem Bedienfeld oder den
Hotkey-Befehlen. Die Audio/MIC-Schaltung nehmen Sie bitte mit
dem Hotkey-Befehl vor.
Tasten auf Bedienfeld
Mit den Tasten auf dem Bedienfeld können Sie das Schalten des
PC-Anschlusses direkt steuern; drücken Sie einfach die Taste, um
den PC-Anschluss zu schalten. Per Standard sind das Schalten des
PC-Anschlusses und von Audio/MIC miteinander verbunden (beides
wird gleichzeitig geschaltet).
Möchten Sie die Schaltbindung des PC-Anschlusses und von
Audio/MIC deaktivieren, betätigen Sie die Hotkey-Sequenz Scroll
Lock +Scroll Lock + W. Um die Bindung erneut zu aktivieren,
betätigen Sie einfach Scroll Lock +Scroll Lock + Q.

Tastatur-Hotkey
Eine Tastatur-Hotkey-Sequenz besteht aus mindestens drei
bestimmten Tastenanschlägen:
Hotkey-Befehle = [Scroll Lock]*+ [Scroll Lock] * +
Befehlstaste(n)
* Benutzerdefinierbar = SCROLL LOCK,CAPS, ESC, F12 oder
NUM LOCK
Hotkey vorangehende Sequenzkonfiguration: Für Benutzer, die
anstelle von zwei aufeinander folgenden Scroll Locks eine
vorangehende Sequenz verwenden möchten, gibt es praktische
Möglichkeiten, dies zu konfigurieren:
1. Betätigen Sie Scroll Lock + Scroll Lock + H, und der
KVM-Switch ist bereit für die Wahl einer neuen vorangehenden
Sequenz. Oder drücken und halten Sie die letzte Bedienfeldtaste
(Taste 2 oder Taste 4) länger als 8 Sekunden und lassen Sie die
Taste dann los.
2. Wählen und drücken Sie die Taste, die Sie als Ihre vorangehende
Sequenz verwenden möchten (die Tasten Scroll Lock, Caps, ESC,
F12 oder Num Lock stehen zur Auswahl). Jetzt können Sie Ihre
Hotkey-Befehle mit der neuen vorangehenden Sequenz ausführen.
