Introduction
A new LT develop board needs to be programmed before put into operation. Users must first program the
[Bootloder], then the [MCU_Code.bin] to LT develop board, and finally the [UartTFT_Flash.bin] to SPI Flash.
A bootloader is a program used to initialize the peripherals such as SD card, USB disk interface, VCOM,
and Uart port etc, based on the target develop board. A bootloader is usually programmed toLT develop board
before shipment.
MCU_Code.bin is the main program for operating LT develop board; and UartTFT_Flash.bin is the file
with the image data including pictures, animations, fonts etc, usually developed by users..
This manual is to illustrate how users may utilize a VCOM programming tool, namely LT_VCOM_GUI, to
program MCU_Code.bin and UartTFT_Flash.bin to LT develop board.
Upgrade Procedure

Please refer to the programming procedure as listed below:
Step 1: Connect “BUSY” pin on LT develop board to ground.
Step 2: Connect LT develop board to PC through USB port, as show in Figure 1-1.

Step 3: Open LT_VCOM_GUI_Vxx.exe, the program will auto-detect if an LT develop board is

connected, and show the connecting COM port, as shown in Figure 1-2.

Note: A designated driver is provided along with the programming tool, as shown in Figure 1-3. If users’
computer cannot recognize LT develop board, users may install the driver to solve the issue.

Step 4: Click on [Open Comm] to connect with LT develop board

Step 5: Import the target files, MCU_Code.bin and/or UartTFT_Flash.bin
Step 6: Click on following buttons to start programming:
[Update All] –Program both MCU_Code.bin and UartTFT_Flash.bin
[Update MCU] –Program MCU_Code.bin
[Update Flash] –Program UartTFT_Flash.bin

After all the programming is done, users may click on [Run Uart Application] to run the new
application directly, as shown in Figure 1-5.

Note: Once [RunUartApplication] isclicked,LT developboard willexitthe upgrading mode,and the connected
COM port will not be recognized by LT_VCOM_GUI. Users may press the reset key on the LT develop
board to enter the upgrading mode again.
