The innovative Lexar®JumpDrive SAFE S3000 is designed for small- to medium-
sized organizations that require enterprise-level security at a budget-driven
price point. This advanced USB flash drive, featuring capacities up to 16GB,
provides comprehensive portable data security through smart card-based
key management and device access control, AES hardware encryption, and a
rugged metal housing.
Industry-standard data protection
The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 utilizes tamper-proof smart card technology—
the industry-standard technology in today’s financial and mobile industries—for
key management and device authentication. The smart card securely generates
and stores the cryptographic key used to encrypt and decrypt a user’s stored
data. The smart card’s mandatory password authentication process blocks
access to the Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 after a set number of password
attempts is exceeded, which forms a key part of the defense against brute-
force password guessing attacks.
The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 secures data via an onboard hardware
cryptographic controller that utilizes the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
256-bit technology adopted by the federal government. The hardware-
based encryption is performed on the fly with no negative impact to drive
performance. The controller also uses an isolated memory space within itself,
which eliminates the risk of access by unauthorized processes external to the
flash drive.
The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 is designed to last for years. The outer casing
is designed with composite metal for protection against physical damage.

The Lexar®JumpDrive SAFE S3000 features an intuitive interface appropriate
for every user. Users simply enter a password to unlock the secure memory
partition and access protected files—once authenticated, the Lexar JumpDrive
SAFE S3000 quickly and automatically encrypts/decrypts all files on the fly as
they are saved to/read from the secure memory partition. These operations
are performed without additional user interaction, making them simple and
transparent.
The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 interoperates on multiple operating systems
to effectively protect information across different platforms. It runs automatically
when connected to a PC with compatible Windows®operating system, and
fully supports Mac OS®X 10.3.9 operating system and higher (Intel-based Mac®
computers only). In addition JumpDrive SAFE S3000 works with many of the
industry’s leading end point security solutions.
Users can easily and safely extend their data availability with this truly portable
storage solution without worrying about installation, setup and the associated
privileges. IT administrations will benefit from a solution that requires no
external drivers or software setup, meaning deployment is quick and efficient,

Furthermore, the Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 is fully supported by the Token
Lifecycle Manager (TLM), a web-based device management system. Here,

software updates, recovery from lost password situation, or block a lost drive
with an easy-to-use browser-based interface.
