VIDEO/CAMERA FEATURES
USING THE VIDEO CAMERA
Recording a 15-Second Video
You can save up to 100 fifteen-second videos depending on memory usage.
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press OK for REC to start recording.
3. Press OK for STOP to stop recording.
4. When finished recording, press Left Soft Key for Save or Right Soft Key for Erase.
Viewing a Saved Video
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Left Soft Key for Gallery.
3. Use the Navigation Key to select a video and press OK for VIEW.
Note: While a video plays, the Navigation Key may be used to stop, rewind or fast forward.
Deleting a Video
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Left Soft Key for Gallery.
3. Use the Navigation Key to select a video and press Right Soft Key for Options.
4. Select Erase (3).
5. Select Ye s (1).
USING THE CAMERA
Taking and Sending a Photo
You can save up to 200 photos depending on memory usage.
1. Press the Camera/Video Key.
2. Press left or right on the Navigation Key to zoom and up and down on the Navigation Key to adjust
the brightness.
2. Press OK for TAKE.
3. When finished, press Left Soft Key for Save to keep the photo in the gallery, or press OK for SEND.
4. Press Left Soft Key for Add to enter a recipient from the Contacts (1), Group (2), or
Recent Calls (3) menus, or use the key pad to enter a new e-mail address or phone number. Up to ten
recipients can be added.
5. Scroll down using the Navigation Key to enter the Te x t ,Sounds and Subject you wish to add to the
message and press OK for SEND.
Changing the Resolution
1. Press the Camera/Video Key.
2. Press Right Soft Key for Options.
3. Select Resolution (1).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select from 1280x960, 640x480, 320x240, 176 x 14 4 or 160x120 and
press OK.
Using the Flash
1. Press the Camera/Video Key.
2. Press the flash button on the left side of the phone to turn the flash on or off.

DOWNLOADING GET IT NOW®CONTENT
The new VX8000 by LG can store downloaded content from Get It Now®, a technology and service that
allows you to download and use applications, games, ringtones and more on your phone.
Downloading New Content From Get It Now®
1. From the main screen, press the Get It Now icon (right) on the Navigation Key
2. Select from Get Tunes & Tones (1), Get PIX & FLIX (2), Get Fun & Games (3),
Get News & Info (4) or Get Going (5).
2. Once connected, choose the content you wish to download.
Streaming a Video Clip
1. From the main screen, press the Get Pix & Flix icon (left) on the Navigation Key.
2. Select Video Clips (1).
3. Use the Navigation Key to choose from News, Entertainment, Sports, or Weather, and select the video
clip you wish to view, and press OK.
Downloading a Video Clip
1. From the main screen, press the Get Pix & Flix icon (left) on the Navigation Key.
2. Select Video Clips (1).
3. Use the Navigation Key to choose from News, Entertainment, Sports, or Weather, and highlight the video
clip you wish to download.
4. Press Right Soft Key for Options, and select Save Video (1).
Note: Downloaded video clips are stored in FLIX Gallery. Not all video clips are downloadable.
MESSAGING
Sending a Text Message
1. Press Left Soft Key for Message and select New TXT MSG (1).
2. Press Left Soft Key for Add to enter a recipient from the Contacts (1), Group (2), or Recent Calls (3)
menus, or use the key pad to enter a new e-mail address or phone number and press OK. Up to ten
recipients can be added.
3. Scroll down and enter the message (up to 160 characters) using the keypad and press OK for SEND.
Sending a Multimedia Message
1. Press Left Soft Key for Message and select New PIX MSG (2).
2. Press Left Soft Key for Add to enter a recipient from the Contacts (1), Group (2) or
Recent Calls (3) menus, or use the key pad to enter a new e-mail address or phone number, and press
OK. Up to ten recipients can be added.
3. Scroll down and use the key pad to enter the Tex t , PIX or FLIX, Sounds and Subject you wish to add
to the message and press OK for SEND.
Changing the Wallpaper
Allows you to change the background image on the main or front LCD.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Wallpaper (3).
3. Select Main LCD (1) or Front LCD (2).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select an image and press OK.

Changing the Ringtones
Allows you to set ringtones for different types of incoming calls.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Sounds (2).
2. Select Call Sounds (2).
3. Select Call Ringtone (1).
4. Select from Caller ID (1), No Caller ID (2), Restrict Calls (3) or All Calls (4).
5. Use the Navigation Key to select a ringtone and press OK.
Manner Mode
Use Manner Mode in a public place to disable the ringer and activate Vibrate Mode.
1. From the main screen, activate Manner Mode by pressing the Manner Mode Key for 3 seconds. The
phone will vibrate when activated.
2. When set, “-VIBRATE MODE- ACTIVATED” will appear on the screen.
3. To release Manner Mode, press the key until “-NORMAL MODE- ACTIVATED” is displayed.
Activating Speakerphone
1. From the main screen, press the Speakerphone Key and “SPEAKER ON” will appear on the screen. To
deactivate, press the key again and “SPEAKER OFF” will appear on the screen.
Scheduling an Event
1. From the main screen, press the Calendar icon (down) on the Navigation Key.
3. Highlight the event date using your Navigation Key and press Left Soft Key for Add.
4. You may set the appropriate start and end times, content, recurrence (if any), alarm and ringer
by scrolling to the corresponding field and entering the desired information or by pressing the
Left Soft Key for Set and choosing an option.
5. Press OK for SAVE.
Making a Call From Recent Calls
1. Press the Send Key to access the most recent incoming, outgoing and missed calls.
2. Select the desired number and press the Send Key to call.
CONTACTS
The internal phone book is capable of storing up to 499 contacts with up to 5 numbers and 2 e-mail
addresses per entry.
Adding a New Contact Entry
1. From the CONTACTS menu, select New Contact (1).
2. Enter the name for the entry.
3. Scroll down with the Navigation Key to enter a phone number or e-mail address in the optional fields
(Mobile 1, Home, Work, Email 1, Mobile 2,Email 2 or Fax).
4. Select a group to add the contact to, add a picture caller-ID, add more phone numbers or e-mail
addresses and press OK for SAVE.
Shortcut: While in standby mode, press the Right Soft Key to access the CONTACT LIST menu.
Voice Dials
1. From the CONTACTS menu, select Voice Dials (5).
2. Press Left Soft Key for New and use the Navigation Key to select a contact to add a voice dial tag to
and press OK.
3. Select a number from the entry and press OK.
4. Press OK to record the voice dial tag by following the phone’s prompts.
