Installation Menu
Introduction
The abundant functions for Hotel TV linked with software installation can be projected on OSD as ‘Installation
Menu’.
The wide ran e of hotel features can be performed simply on additional window to enhance the LG hotel TV’s easy
installation and convenient operation for Hotelier and System Inte rators.
Press the MMEENNUUbutton for more than 5 seconds usin the user remote control, pro ramme information
will appear at top left on the screen.
Enter a four di it password and press OK button.
• The TV is set with the initial password “1-1-0-5”.
Use the button to select the desired menu.

- Decide to select working st tus of TV Set when turn on m in power.
- You c n set with PWR, STD, LST.
- PWR lw ys m ke TV set On st tus when turn on m in power .
- STD m ke St nd-by st tus when turn on m in power.
- LST m ke TVSet work like previous power st tus. As s me concept s Power B ckup mode; If m in power were
turned off in Power On st tus, TVSet would work in On st tus. If m in power were turned off in St nd-by st tus,
TVSet would work in St nd-by st tus.

ported. ( pplied for the model offering the reserv tion function)
- The TV triggered by the extern l device (ex: SIMPLINK, TVLink-Tuner, etc.) oper tes sep r tely from the Hotel
mode.
- When it is set to ‘Yes’, User Menu-> Option -> ‘F ctory Reset’ is dis bled.

Possible) or No(Enter Impossible) on the "LG Hotel Mode Setup" OSD.

n't work.
- When 'Input Source Ch nge' is set to No(Ch nge impossible), user's input (pressing Progr mme key, numer l key,
List key, Q.View key in ll Input source except TV source) doesn't work nd when entering 'Setup Menu' itemin
the 'M in Menu OSD' except TV mode doesn't ccepted.
Bec use entering 'Setup Menu' item m kes present mode s TV mode even though present mode is not TV mode.
For the function th t turns to TV mode doesn't work.
- When 'Input Source Ch nge' is set to Yes(Ch nge possible), then ch nging input source is v il ble.
- When 'Input Source Ch nge' is set to No(Ch nge Impossible), TV set lw ys turns on fixed input source nd vol-
ume inform tion reg rdless of lre dy set Progr mme inform tion.
- When 'Input Source Ch nge' is set to No(Ch nge Impossible), entering 'Setup Menu' except TV mode doesn't
possible reg rdless of 'Progr mme Ch nge' or 'Setup Menu Displ y' item.
- When this is set to No, it will only be turned on with the volume inform tion in the input source irrelev nt from
the PR nd inform tion set in On Time.

- Set whether it is turned on by the set input source or by the l st stored input source.
- It is turned on by the L st Memory Input if the Input source is turned off.
- It is turned on by the L st Pr. If the Input source is turned off nd the L st Memory Input is the RF.
- All sources supported by the s id model c n be set s Input source. (The Input source v lue should be rot ted.)
- If both the Input source nd the ON TIME re set, the Input source t kes the priority.
- If the DTV/R dio Ch nnel does not exist t the m p, the DTV/R dio is skipped while n vig ting.
- When the Input source is ch nged to the DTV/R dio, the Progr mme No. is set to the first progr mme of the
Ch nnel m p of the DTV/R dio.
- When the Input source is ch nged to the ATV, the Progr mme No. is set to 0. (If the ch nnel m p structure does
not support this, it follows the structure of the s id model.)

- If the Input source is DTV or ATV, the set progr mme is pl yed when the power is turned on.
- Only when the Input source is DTV or ATV, it c n be entered into the Progr mme item.
- When the Input source is turned off, the L st input t the time of the power-off is turned on, nd when the
L st input is the RF, the L st progr mme is pl yed.
- If the Input source is the DTV, the progr mme number existing t the progr mme t ble c n be selected.
- If the Input source is the ATV, 0~(MAX_PR – 1) c n be selected. (If the ch nnel m p structure does not sup-
port this, it follows the structure of the s id model.)
- The progr mme should be rot ted.
- If both the progr mme nd the ON TIME re set, the progr mme t kes the priority.

nd power key.
- When 'Loc l Key Oper tion' is set to No(Do Not Work), Loc l Key working in service mode is still v il ble.
- When 'Loc l Key Oper tion' is set to Yes(Work), ll Loc l Key working is v il ble.
- When set both 'Loc l Key' nd 'Remocon Oper tion’ s No(Do Not Work), Power key of Remocon work s excep-
tion l c se.
- Even when the loc l key oper tion is set to No, when you press the loc l key for 5 seconds, the Menu key will
oper te to ccess the Inst ll tion Menu.
- Exception : In c se of the commerci l model, lthough both IR nd Loc l key oper tion re set to 'No'
(no oper tion), you c n oper te the volume +/- key nd the power key.

- Set to Yes(Work) or No(Do Not Work).
- Progr mme th t is set to ‘R dio Progr mme’ nd only h s Sound should decide whether to set ‘Video Bl nk’
or not.
- When ‘R dio Video Bl nk’ is set to Yes(Work), ‘Video Bl nk’ works only in c se of R dio Progr mme.
- Although set to Yes(Work), if there re Video sign l, ‘Video Bl nk’ wouldn’t work. In consider tion of c se th t
displ y b ckground screen nd bro dc st only with R dio, ‘Video Bl nk ’works only when there is no Video
sign l.
- When set to No(Do Not Work), ‘Video Bl nk’ do not work lthough it is the R dio Progr mme.
- This oper tes only in the An log TV Mode.
- If both 'Volume' d t nd 'On Time' is set, but just the v lue is different, then 'Volume' h s priority.
-This sets whether to pply the Volume Level or not when the power is turned on.
When both the Volume nd ON TIME Volume re set nd h ve different v lues, the Volume Level v lue
is set s the ON TIME Volume v lue, nd c nnot move to the ON TIME Volume item.
- The next v lue for the m x volume is OFF. And next it will be ch nged to 0.

- If ‘A/V Setting’ is ch nged from No to Yes, p r meters th t re set before entering Inst ll tion Menu re
pplied whenever turn on power.

- TV sets for e ch single hotel rooms, providing ‘TVLink-Lo der’ does m ximise inst llers convenience. By copy-
ing ll progr mme settings, picture setting, sound setting, option setting nd inst ll tion menu setting. from
set s def ult nd conveying into ddition l sets, which ensures uniformity between sets nd signific ntly
reduces unnecess ry inst ll tion time vi RS232.
In ddition to this, TVLink-Lo der en bles to lo d progr mme for menu inst ll tion with wireless b sis.

Press the MMOODDEE button until the displ y of TVLink Lo der screen ch nges from “Re dy” to “Mode in”.

during this time.
Use the UUPP/ DDOOWWNN button to select the TVLink Lo der .
Press the MMOODDEEbutton in order to ch nge from key to key nd then press the UUPPbutton.
Press the SSEENNDDor RREECCEEIIVVEEbutton.

Commerci l TVs h ve the c p bility to support cloning intern l TV d t nd progr mme inform tion with n exter-
n l clone device c lled “TVLink-Lo der”, in order to copy TV d t ccur tely nd quickly. The clone intern l func-
tions use slightly different intern l processes for the two types of commerci l TVs. However, the UI of cloning fe -
ture rem ins the s me in both.
Reg rding the dem nds over the current cloning fe ture for quicker cloning, better port bility nd etc, we would
like to nnounce the cloning process vi USB port, n med s USB Cloning.
USB cloning process is divided into 2 m in processes. One is writing the previously s ved TV d t into the TV, nd
one nother is re ding of current TV d t into USB memory c rd. To void ny confusion due to the words, it is
cle rly specified s “Receive from USB” nd “Send to USB” in the whole process.
The d t cloned re the s me d t cloned by previous TVLink-Lo der. Det ils re expl ined in the following:
1. TV d t includes:
A. Inst ller Menu settings
B. M in menu settings (Audio, Picture etc)
2. An log / Digit l Ch nnel inform tion includes:
A. Ch nnel numbers
B. Ch nnel l bel
C. Ch nnel ttributes including ch nnel type, skipping st tus nd etc.
The user needs USB memory c rd with FAT form tted to m ke successive cloning vi USB port. A USB memory
c rd size more th n 128 Meg Bytes nd less th n 4 Gig Bytes is recommended.

NOTE

Currently, support the preceding USB file system for FAT file form t only. Other file form ts including NTFS is
not currently supported. Microsoft Windows offici lly supports FAT for the USB memory c rd.

Send To SB
“Send To USB” must be done first before “Receive From USB” process, s it gener te the file to be used in
“Send To USB”. While writing is in process, the user must not turn TV off nor unplug the USB memory c rd. The
steps in “Send To USB” re expl ined below. The following im ges might be slightly different th n the OSD im ge.

Make a ‘LG_DTV’ folder in the USB flash drive and then copy splash ima e file to the folder.
