1. Select the options button
2. Select the serial Tab
3. Confirm the settings & if
necessary change the COM
port number to match the
serial port on the computer
you are using.
(check the hardware tab
\device manager from the
properties of My Computer)
4. Confirm the Baud Rate is
115200

Getting the TV Ready
1. Press ADJ key on the service
commander.
2. Using the navigation keys select
System control.
3. Press enter. (The System Control
Menu is displayed)
4. Using the navigation keys change
RS-232 Host to G-Probe
5. Set the Baud Rate to 115200
6. Set the download to Hudson or
Cortez (depending on the device
you wish to update)
7. Make sure the switch position is
correct on the Tornado jig.

Testing the communication
1. Click in this field.

When using G-Probe all relevant files must be in the same folder

How to edit the Cortez Batch File
1. Right click on the file name of the file you need.
2. Select rename so the file name is highlighted and use the
keyboard shortcut to copy the text (control +c).
e.g.. 42PX5D-EB_IC900_X2_V3.07_3C4C_060329_Download.hex
3. Switch to the batch file and paste it over the original text.
4. Save as xxxx and save in the correct folder.

How to edit the Cortez Batch File
This is the line you need to edit for each file you wish to upload
You must use the following format: fastflashwrite (space) exact name of file as it is displayed in windows explorer
(see next page)
I recommend you save this file (each time you edit it), in the folder for each model giving it an appropriate name
Make sure this file name is specified for cortez upgrade

How to edit the Hudson Batch File
1. Right click on the file name of the file you need.
2. Select rename so the file name is highlighted and use the
keyboard shortcut to copy the text (control +c).
e.g.. 42PX5D-EB_X3_Hudson_V3.02_(BOAA)_060120.hex
3. Switch to the batch file and paste it over the original text.
4. Save as xxxx and save in the correct folder.
