BUTTON FUNCTIONS–ROBOT CLEANER
•Ifthebuttonispressed,‘TURBO Mode’will be set with a voiceconfirmation.
•Ifthebuttonispressedwhilst in ‘TURBO Mode’,itwillbecanceled.
•Usedtoreturnthe RobotCleaner back to the home station for charging.
•Ifcleaningisfinishedorthebattery is low,theRobotCleaner will returnto the Home Station by

•Press and hold both the 'START/STOP' and HOME button on the main unit for 3 sec. to turn ON/

BEFORE YOU START
•Donot use this devicein a roomwhereachildisleft alone.The child couldbeinjured.
•Removefragileorunnecessary objects fromthe roomtobecleaned.
Especially, removeexpensiveceramics and valuablesfromthefloor.
•Closethecover of the dust bin compartmentbeforecleaning.
•Removeany moisturethat might be on the floor.
•Removecables,strips,towels, mats etc. fromthe floorsotheywill not get tangled in the brushes.
•Confirmwhetherthebattery chargeis sufficient, and if it is low, rechargeit.
•Emptythe dust bin beforeorafter each clean, or beforeitbecomesfull.
•Closethedoorsof any roomthat you do not wanttheRobotCleaner to enter. During cleaning,
theRobotCleaner mayenteranotherroomand continuecleaning.
•WhentheMopplate(Selected models only (VR*.LVM))isattached,
RobotCleaner will notbeabletogooverthresholdsof 5 or higher.
Ifyouarenotplanning to use the mop for cleaning, remove the mop beforeusingRobotCleaner.
•Beforestarting the device,it's better to removecarpetsthat arethickerthan 20 astheymaycauseit to malfunction.
•Pleasecloseanybalconyas the wheels maygetstuckwhilecleaning.

2.Insert two AAA batteries,checkingfor+,-nodeswhileloading.
3.Closethebattery covercompletelyso that the batterieswillnotfall out.
•Onlypressone button at a time.
•Donot dropor subject it to any impact.
•Donot storeit near devicesthat give offheat, fireorhotair.
•Certain fluorescentlamps, such as the threebandradiationlamp, can interferewith the activation of the remotecontrol.
Therefore,useitasfarawayas possible fromsuch lamps.
•Iftheremote controlisfarfromthe RobotCleanerwhenactivated,it mayfailtooperateproperly.

Insert the power cord plug into an outlet and locate the station
against a wall. If power is not supplied to the home station, the
RobotCleaner will notcharge.

the Robot Cleaner. (p15)
Turn ON the power switch on the rear-left of Robot Cleaner,
andpressthe 'START/STOP'buttononthetop.

The Robot Cleaner will self-diagnose and automatically return to
the home station to recharge before the complete discharge of the

For Cleaning Mode, you can choose among ZigZag, My Space,
and Repeat; for secondary features, Manual and Microfibre Mop

< Warning > When the Robot Cleaner is operated with the dust bin compartment lid left open,
it can cause an injury or serious damage to the product.

HOWTO INSTALL THE HOME STATION
1.Position the home station against a wall on hardlevelņooring
toprevent sliding duringdocking.
Removeobjects within 1.5totheright
andleftside and within 2 to the front.
2.Plugthepowercordinto an outlet.
Wrapthe remainingpower cord aroundtheŅxedhook on the back side of the
homestationoralongthewallsurfacesothatthetravelpathoftheRobot
Cleanerwillnotbe obstructed.
3.Fixthehomestationagainstthewallso that it does not move.
Thenturnonthepowerswitch.
4.Whentheremote controllerisnotused,storeitintheremote controllerholder
onthehomestation.

< Warning > Do not operate the Robot Cleaner if the Home Station has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.To avoid electrical hazards, the cord must be replaced

HOWTO TURN THE ROBOT CLEANER POWER SUPPLY ON & OFF
Makesurethe PowerSwitch is on at the rear-leftoftheRobotCleaner.
Ifthepoweris OFF,turn the switch ON.
※Whenturningonthepowerswitch, do not pressor touch any button located
ontheuppersectionoftheRobotCleaner. Button operationscanbedelayed.
※Turn offthepowerswitchiftheRobotCleanerisnotused for a long period of
timeinorderto protect the battery.TheRoboticCleanercannotchargeif the
mainswitchisinthe"OFF"position.
WiththeStandbypowerof the RobotCleanerOFF, press'START/STOP'button
for1seconduntil a "Ting" sound is heard.Inabout 10 seconds,thepowerwill
beonandamelodywillsound.
※If10minuteselapse without the RobotCleaner having being given an active
commandafterbeingturnedon,thepowerwill automatically returnto
Standbyagain.
Press and hold the START/STOPbutton for two secondswhile the
RobotCleaner is turned on. A melody will sound when the poweristurnedoff.
•Ifthepowercannotbeturnedon,dothefollowing.
-Turn the main power switch OFF, wait 5 secondsthen ON again.
-Press the ‘START/STOP’button afterthemainpowerswitch has been turned on again.
-Ifthepoweris not turned on or if thereis no displaybut only the “Ting” sound,
puttheRobotCleaner manually on to the home station as the batterymaybeflat.

HOWTO START AND STOP CLEANING
After the RobotCleaner main power switch is turned on, pressthe START/STOP
buttontobegincleaning.Amelodywillsoundandcleaningwillbegin.
Press the START/STOPbutton duringthecleaningcycletostopcleaning.
※Whenthe‘START/STOP’button is pressedwhilethepowersupply of the Robot
CleanerisinStandby, the power will be turned on. Pressthe ‘START/STOP’button
onemoretime to start cleaning.
After the RobotCleaner is turned on fromtheRoboticCleaner, pressthe'Start'
buttonontheremote control.Amelodywillsoundandcleaningwillbegin.
Press the 'Stop/OK' button during the cleaning cycle to stop cleaning.
※TheRobotCleaner cannotbe turned on fromStandby, by using the remote
controller when the poweroftheRobotCleaner is off.Whenthepowerisoff,
pressthe ‘START/STOP’buttonontheuppersideofRobotCleaner to turn the
poweron and to allow the remoteto be used.
※Duringcleaning, collisionscanhappen when the sensor cannotdetectobjectsbecauseof their shape (Thin chairsandtablelegs,
furniturecorner).When this happens, the internal impact detecting sensor will reactbyusingabackwardmotion.
※IftheRobotCleaner is set to start cleaning at a location awayfromthehomestation,puttheRobotCleaneronaņatņoorin
orderto prevent a malfunction of the obstacle detecting sensor.Inaddition,start cleaning froma location wherethereareno
obstacles.For example, curtainsorwallsmust be 30 fromthe RobotCleaner.
For best results:
•Briefly scantheareato be cleaned for big and small objects that will causedifficulty for the RobotCleaner.
•Ifcleaningisstarted when the RobotCleaner is at the home station, the devicecan rapidlybereturnedtothe
homestationasthecurrenthome position has been accurately read.
•WhentheMopplate(Selected models only (VR*.LVM))isinstalled,topreventa 2nd contaminationfromthe
contaminatedmop, it will notgooverdoor sills of 5 orhigher.

HOWTO CHARGE THE BATTERY
TheRobotCleaner returnsto the home station
attheendofacleaningcycleorwhenitsbattery is running low.
※If10minuteselapse without the RobotCleaner moving or
thebattery is too low,thepowerwill be automatically turned OFF.
※Do NOT turn OFF the Main Power Switch as the battery will not be
recharged. If the machine is returned manually with the Main Power Switch
OFF, it announces an error message, "Main power switch on the back of the
Robot cleaner is turned off. Please turn the switch on."
※Intheeventthat the unit returnsto the Home Station due to a low battery
duringthe cleaning, cleaning will be started,after recharging,fromthe nearest
placeof the areawhichhasnotbeen cleaned before.
※IfRobotCleaner is unable to dock to the home station on itsŅrstattempt,itwilltry again until it docks successfully.
※WhenRobotCleaner has completedall areasthatitcanclean,
itwillreturnto the home station evenwhen the batterylevelis notlow.
Youcanmanually chargethebattery priortousingtheRobotCleaner for theŅrsttime or to chargethe batteryduringcleaning.
Method 1. Attachthe RobotCleanertothehomestationby
aligningtothefrontside of the home station. A melody
soundwillbegeneratedalong with an audio message to
start charging.
※If a voice message, "Main power switch on the back of
the Robot cleaner is turned off. Please turn the switch
on." is announced repeatedly, then turn on the Main
Power Switch.
Method 2. When the 'Home' button of the remotecontrol or the
RobotCleaner is pressed,chargingwillbeprompted
byautomaticallygeneratingasearchingsignal and
returningthe RobotCleaner to the home station.
※If the Robot Cleaner did not start cleaning from the home station or if the Robot Cleaner is manually charged by pressing the
'Home' button, it may take slightly longer to Ņnd the home station.
※IftheRobotCleaner is within 10 of the frontof the chargingterminalwhilethepoweris turned on fromStandby,
itwillautomaticallybe returnedtothehomestationandchargingwillbegin.

Takethe following precautionswhen using the home station:

•Donot to placetheRobotcleaner, the home station or power plug near a heating source.

Zigzag Cleaning
Bypressinga directionkeyon the RemoteController,you can moveRobotCleanerinaManualmode.
RobotCleaner will clean the area,moving forward/backward/left/right,accordingtotheinputofthedirectionkey.
Whilein'Manual'mode,therobot cleaner will run into obstacles placedbehinditifthebackwardkeyon the remoteremainsheld
down.

CLEANING MODES
Pressing 'My Space'ontheRemoteControllerwillsettheMySpacecleaning mode with a voice
message.For cleaning of particular spaces,select this mode.
The 1st stage:
UsetheRemoteControllertomanuallysettheparrameters of each cleaning block.
※Thiscleaningmodewillbeacceptedwhenthedistanceofthestart and end position is less
than1.
The 2nd stage:
Pressing the 'Start'buttonwillthenmakethe RobotCleaner clean the manually outlined areabyitself.
※Uponfailureto correctly outline a zone,avoicewillannounce,which says"Areadoes notmeetthespeciŅedconditions.Please
continueto makespeciŅed areafor cleaning process."
UsetheRemoteControllertoassignazone,again.
※WhenMySpacecleaning is completed,the mode is switched to Auto Clean (ZigZag).
•Whilerecharging,youcannotactivate'MySpaceclean' mode.
•To change the cleaning mode while the RobotCleaner is in operation,press'Stop/OK' button firstthen select a

Pressing the 'Turbo' button on the RemoteControlleror main
unitwillactivate'Turbo' mode, with a voicemessage.
Whilein'Turbo' mode, pressingthesamebuttonwillcancel

In'Turbo' mode, RobotCleanerrunsmoreintensely for a
powerfulclean. Mode mode will reducethe battery duration.
Pressing 'Repeat' button on Remote Controllerwill activate 'Repeat' mode, with a voice
message.Whilein'Repeat'mode,pressingthe same button will cancel'Repeat' mode, with
avoice message.In 'Repeat' mode, RobotCleanerrepeatsthe cleaning in progress until the
battery runs out without returningto the home station.
TheRobotCleaner is capableofmemorisingthe cleaning
environmentthroughits Learning mode for an intelligent
cleaningoperation.
※'LearningMode'isavailableonlywhenthemachinestarts
cleaningfromthe Home Station.

1.Attachthe ultramicroŅber mop to the Velcro of the
mopplate as shown in the Ņgure.
2.FirmlyslidetheMopPlate into the furrows
untilyouheara'click'sound.
※Notethat, if the Mop Plateisnotsecuredcorrectly,it
mayseparateduringthe cleaning.
3.ItisessentialthattheŅxinghooksontheMopPlate
aligncorrectly on to theŅxinggrooves on the underside
ofthecleaner.
For mop cleaning, mount the mop and mop platetotheRobotCleaner accordingtothefollowinginstructions:
ByattachingtheultramicroŅbermop, you can effectivelyuse
theRobotCleaner to remove dust on hardņoor surfaces.
Whenthemopplate is attached, the RobotCleaner will not
climbontocarpetsor overthresholds,inordertoprevent
transferringdirt fromthe mop.
•To avoidodors,washanyforeignmaterialordustoff the mop after cleaning is completed.
•To avoidstainingfloors,donotuse the ultramicrofibermop to clean
whendirt is contaminatedwith liquids such as coffee or ink.
•To avoiddamagetocarpetsfromthe Velcroordirt transferfromthe mop,
donotattempt to clean the carpetwhile the mop plateormopisattached.
•Keepthe ultramicrofiber mop dry.Donotuseitonwetsurfaces.
Ifthereis moistureon the floor, it caninterferewith the navigation and damage the unit.
•Smart Diagnosis featureis not available, when the Mop Plateis attached.
•Somemodelsmaynotcomewith Microfibre Mop or Mop Plate.

Manual Relocation.
1.Withthepoweroff, locate the RobotCleaner near the
locationwhereitwasoriginally movedfrom.
※Thelocationsearchismoreeffectivewhen the Robot
Cleanerisclosertothelocationwhereitwasmovedfrom.
※Ifitismovedfromits original cleaning position by more
than1,itbecomesdifŅcultfortheRobotCleanerto
searchfor it's previouslocation.
2.Press the START/STOPbutton on the RobotCleaner or 'Start'buttonontheremote controller.
RobotCleaner will then start the location searchfunction along with an audio guide.
