. Press the START 1 or START 2 button. Your average
blood pressure reading will appear with the number of
measurements stored in memory (i.e. A25 = total of 25
measurements stored in memory). As the cuff pressur-
izes, measurement will begin and the Cuff Inflation
Meter will show on the display screen. It is normal for
the cuff to feel very tight.
NOTE: If viewing measuremen s or s oring readings in memory are no
desired, press bo h he START 1 and START 2 bu ons a he same ime. A
reading will be aken, bu no s ored in o memory.
NOTE: If you wish o s op infla ion a any ime, press ei her START bu on
again.
NOTE: The maximum cuff pressure is se a 280 mmHg. If i reaches 280
mmHg, he au o exhaus will be riggered and cuff pressure will defla e o 0.
7. When the inflation is complete, the deflation
starts automatically and the ❤blinks, indi-
cating that the measurement is in progress.
Once the pulse is detected, the ❤ symbol
flashes with each pulse beat.
NOTE: If an appropria e pressure is no
ob ained, he device au oma ically s ar s o
infla e again.
8. When the measurement is complete, the systolic and diastolic pressure
readings and pulse rate are displayed and stored. See Page E-10 for more
details about the memory function. The cuff deflates and the monitor
automatically shuts off after 60 seconds, or you can turn it off by pressing
either START button.
9. Remove cuff and make a note of your blood pressure and pulse rate on
the chart provided, indicating date and time of measurement. Additional
logbook charts can be downloaded and printed for free at
www.LifeSourceOnline.com or in Canada, www.autocontrol.com.
We advise that you record the date and time after each measurement because
an accurate blood pressure history relies not on single or sporadic readings
but on a pattern over time.
