The ApaPure2 was designed to provide a robust ltration + disinfection
solution to treat a variety of issues. The unit is powered by Quantum
Disinfection™ technology, which eliminates over 99.9999% of bacteria on
contact by using a powerful catalytic surface charge. This system includes a
head unit, mounting screws and the cartridge.

•CAUTION Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of
microbiologically contaminated water that meets all other public health
standards. This system is not intended for the treatment of water that has an
obvious contamination or intentional source, such as raw sewage; nor is the
system intended to convert wastewater to microbiologically safe drinking
water.
•CAUTION Do not install system on line pressure above the rated pressure
included in system specications.
•CAUTION Do not install the system on a hot water line. Failure to limit the
water temperature to 100°F (38°C) can result in housing failure and property
damage.
•CAUTION Do not use a torch or other high temperature sources near lter or
cartridge system.
•CAUTION Do not install in direct sunlight or outdoors.

Read before beginning the installation process. Always follow these
safety precautions when installing and operating the water filter:

System Location Requirement
This system is designed for under counter use. Unit should be vertically
mounted on a wall, support structure, or the back of the equipment which
provides sufcient support to hold the ltration system in place securely.
NOTE: Allow a minimum of 2" (5 cm) clearance under the lter system to
allow for cartridge change outs.
•Systems may be installed using metal or non-metallic piping systems.
•Do not install lter system in locations where it can be damaged by other
freestanding equipment.
•CAUTION Do not connect the system backwards with the feed water line
connected to the outlet.
•CAUTION Do not use liquid pipe thread compounds for threaded
connections. Use Teon® tape only.
•CAUTION Do not over tighten connections to the valve head.
•CAUTION The system should be protected from pressure spikes. If a
pressure spike is present, it is recommended to install a pressure regulator in
front of the water line in order to protect the ltration system.
•CAUTION Make sure all plastic wrapping and protective plastic caps
have been removed from the lters prior to installation.
• CAUTION Do not install this disinfection unit in areas where the system will
be exposed to extreme weather or temperatures below freezing.

Connect incoming COLD
water line to the inlet of the
valve head connection.
Connect the outlet port to
the equipment system line.
Connect the lter to the valve
head by inserting the lter
cartridge into valve head.
Turn the cartridge to the right
(counter clockwise) until it stops.
Use marker to record installation
date on the filter canister.
Read instructions completely before installing the filter system.

1. Turn off all equipment to be fed by the system, locate the water supply
shutoff valve and turn it off.
2. Use the predrilled mounting holes in the valve head-bracket as a guide.
Mark and drill anchor holes. System must be vertical, upright and level. The
mounting hardware used must be selected and installed so that the system is
rmly pressed against the mounting surface. The system mounting hardware
must keep the system from moving during routine service and operation.
NOTE: Product includes with 3/8" QC connections for inlet and outlet
valve head ports.

System Start Up
System Maintenance
1. Turn on water supply to the ltration system.
2. Flush the cartridge(s) by running water for FIVE MINUTES through the
system. This will purge any trapped air and nes from the system.
3. Check for leaks.
1. If required, turn off downstream equipment.
2. Shut off the inlet water supply to the system.
3. Open the water valve/faucet to relieve pressure in the lter canister(s).
Expect some water to ow out when this valve is opened as the system
depressurizes.
4. Remove and discard all lters. The lters are removed by rotating them 1/4
turn to the left (CLOCKWISE) and then gently pulling down.
NOTE: Used lters will be heavier than new lters due to water remaining
on the used lter. Take care when handling the used lter as some water
that is within the exhausted lter may come out if turned on its side or
upside down.
5. Remove the wrapping and cap from the top of the new lter cartridge(s).
6. Insert new lter(s) in to the valve head and turn 1/4 turn to the right
(COUNTERCLOCKWISE) until the lter stops.
7. Follow directions contained in “System Start Up” above.
Routine maintenance of this system involves periodic lter changes. Filter
changes are recommended a minimum of once every two years. It is
recommended to regularly scheduled maintenance and replacement of lter
cartridge(s) in order to ensure optimum performance of the ltration system
and equipment that it services. Filter cartridges shall be replaced when noted
capacity is reached or earlier depending upon reduction of ow rates which
may occur due to the incoming water quality.

Warranty

Unless otherwise provided in a warranty for the specic product purchased,
LifeSource Water Systems, Inc. hereby warrants that all goods purchased
hereunder shall be free from material defects in material and workmanship
for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment to buyer. The foregoing
warranty shall not be valid if the product or component parts have been
subjected to abuse, misuse, accident, alteration, neglect, unauthorized repair
or installation. The foregoing warranty is also contingent upon the proper use
of the product and expires immediately upon the modication or enhancement
of the product by anyone without the express written consent of the LifeSource.
Upon discovery of any defect in material or workmanship within one year from
the date of shipment, buyer shall notify LifeSource within ve (5) days of
buyer's discovery of such defect. If such goods are proven to be materially
defective to LifeSource’s, and only LifeSource’s reasonable satisfaction, then
such defective goods shall be repaired or replaced at LifeSource's sole option.
In the event the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, LifeSource shall issue
a credit to buyer for the purchase price of the defective goods.
Such repair, replacement, or issuance of credit shall constitute a fulllment
of all liabilities with respect to such goods. The warranty for all goods sold by
LifeSource but manufactured by others shall be the warranty provided by such
manufacturer for such goods. LifeSource shall take all commercially reasonable
efforts (other than the payment of money) to provide the manufacturer's
warranty to buyer. This limited warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by
LifeSource. LifeSource makes no other warranty, express or implied, and there
is expressly excluded all warranties of merchantability and tness for a
particular purpose. Buyer's sole remedy shall be repair or replacement of
defective products or if the product cannot be repaired or replaced, to receive
credit for the purchase price of the defective product. LifeSource is not liable
for damage to goods, property or persons arising out of the improper
installation of such goods; modication, repair or tampering of such goods by
anyone other than LifeSource; misuse of the goods; or utilization of the goods
under conditions exceeding specications for such goods.
