be installed and put into opera on according to the provisions and regula ons in force. Improper
installa on or improper use of the product can cause damage to people and property, as well as

FOLLOW THE SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO OPERATE IN SAFETY.
Any unauthorised modi ca on can compromise the safety of the system, as well as the correct
opera on and the life of the machine. If you have any doubts regarding the correct understanding
of the informa on and contents contained in this manual, contact LIFTING ITALIA S.r.l. immediately.

by quali ed personnel, in compliance with the a ached technical documenta on, above all in

This manual contains safety rules that must be observed to safeguard personal safety and to prevent damage to the property.
The indica ons to be followed to guarantee personal safety are highlighted by a triangle symbol while those to avoid material
damage are not preceded by the triangle. The hazard warnings are shown as follows and indicate the diff erent levels of risk in
descending order.
The purpose of this manual is to provide correct informa on on the installa on and correct use of the product, in order to
contribute to personal safety and to the proper func oning of the system. Keep the manual for the en re life of the product. In
the event of a change of ownership, the manual must be provided to the new user as an integral part of the product.
If there are mul ple levels of risk, the danger warning always indicates the highest one. If a warning is drawn with a triangle to
warn to the risk of injury to persons, the risk of possible property damage may also be caused at the same  me.

and in this manual; any divergence from the prescribed procedure may aff ect the opera on and safety of the
system and cause the immediate cancella on of the warranty.
Any modi ca on or varia on made to the project and the to the assembly Instruc ons must be documented
in detail and referred to LIFTING ITALIA S.r.l., in order to allow the company an adequate assessment. Under no
circumstances can a modi ed system be ac vated without the express authoriza on of LIFTING ITALIA S.r.l.
Installers are responsible for ensuring compliance with safety procedures at work and any health and safety
regula ons in force in the country and on the site where the assembly is carried out.
The elevator / pla orm must only be used in the way envisaged by the system and illustrated in the rela ve

CAUTION
SAFETY AND SITE MANAGEMENT - OVERALL DISPOSITIONS:
1. Always secure tools and any objects against falling;
2. Pay the utmost a en on to all the steps described in this;
3. While assembling the parts making up the system or a er installa on, be careful of any sharp burrs (machining
residues);
• Before proceeding with the installa on, it is necessary to remove any rubble and material deposited during the
construc on of the sha .
• Only nuts and bolts included in the supply must be used.
• The bags containing the screws must be opened in correspondence with the respec ve opera ng phases indicated in
this manual.
• The instruc ons described in this manual refer to a reinforced sha , to a fastening with mechanical expansion plugs
of the stud type. For the use of plugs in masonry other than the reinforced concrete see the a achment to this
manual. For the sha s with metal framework, we proceed by replacing the plugs with normal screws.
• In these instruc ons and on the wiring diagram, the stops are indicated with 0, 1, (2, 3 etc.), meaning "0" the lowest stop:
the numbers on the push-bu on panels may be diff erent according to the user's needs (for example - 1, 0, etc.).

WARNING
BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION/MAINTENANCE, YOU NEED TO:
• Check that the main electrical system is up to standard and provided with adequate
grounding; 
• Check the presence of an effi cient ligh ng system at the place of installa on;
• Check the cleanliness of the sha area/pit that there are no liquids (water, oil, ...) on the
bo om;
• Check that the entrances to the work areas are properly closed.
• Check that all the holes and the housings for the electric cables are free, inspectable, well
 nished and dry;
• Check that there is adequate ven la on for the smoke exhaust;
BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION, YOU NEED TO:
• Arrange a material deposit area near the work area, easily accessible and protected from
the bad weather.
• Prepare any li ing equipment to be used.
• Check the presence of all materials, using the list.
• Check the state of all materials at the  me of receipt on site and in case of damage or
missing contact the supplier immediately.
• Periodically check the materials des ned for long storage before installa on to avoid
possible deteriora on caused by incorrect storage.
• Check the completeness of the a ached documenta on.
NOTICE
BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION, CHECK THE FOLLOWING MEASURES AND COMPARE THEM WITH
THOSE ON THE PROJECT DRAWING:
• Width (distance between the side walls)
• Depth (distance between front and back wall)
• Base/Pit depth
• Travel
• Headroom height
• Plumbing of the sha and any plumb parts already installed
• Dimensions of any necessary arrangements (breaking down the landing doors, distance between the guides,

3. TEST PROCEDURE
The plaorm li has been designed to reduce the necessity of periodical maintenance.
The safety components have been cered in accordance with the current regulaons. The plaorm li has been cered in accor-
dance with Machine Direcve 2006/42/CE, to guarantee the maximum realibility of the products and the complete user’s safety.
The actual maintenance requirements comprise a periodical check by an authorized Body, to be eected every two years. We
recommend that maintenance operaons be eected to ensure the correct funconing of the li.
The owner of the li is invited to plan and strictly follow the maintenance operaon schedule. Should any irregularity or trouble
occur, the maintenance personnel must be noed immediately.
INFORMATION
As far as the following items are concerned : general instrucons, safety instrucons,
responsibility and warranty, material receiving and storage on site, packing, waste
disposal, cleaning and maintenance, please consult the manual “SAFETY AND MATE-
RIAL HANDLING ON SITE”.
3.1. GENERAL INFORMATION
The stops are indicated as 0, 1, 2, 3, “0” meaning the lowest oor: the COP numbering may be dierent according to the customer’s
needs (example –1, 0, etc.);
The other reference documents are as follows:
• Project drawings referred to the li;
• Electrical schemes an instrucons;
• Hydraulic scheme.
For threaded xings coupling, please respect the below table.
All the screws used for the li assembly, have been ghtened using the parameters stated in the below table.

legislaon.

4.1. OUT OF SERVICE MODE
The following instrucons describe the out of service procedure.
1. Make sure the car is empty;
2. Bring the car to the lowest oor;
3. Wait for the busy signal to be o;
4. Open all the circuits of the power supply board;
5. Check if all the other landing doors are closed correctly;
6. Arrange the “out of service” boards to be placed on all landings.
On compleon of the above listed operaons, the li can be considered out of service, and cannot be used.
4.2. MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
The frequency and the descripon of the operaons are stated in the table, paragraph 1.5. The recommended frequency is referred
to the normal use of the li, which means 1200 runs per month; a more frequent use requires a more frequent maintenance. The
commissioning operaons fare listed in the Installaon Manual; these are to be repeated, should there be a me gap of more than
six months between the installaon and the commissioning dates, or should the service be suspended for more than six months.
Should any element need to be replaced, we recommend using original components from the supplier LIFTINGITALIA S.r.l.
The operaons described below are to be eected by qualied personnel only.
The following maintenance areas have been idened:
1. IN FRONT OF THE CONTROL BOARD;
2. IN THE PIT;
3. ON THE PLATFORM (“CAR”).

• close the main switch only if required, paying aenon to the safety rules to be followed in presence of components under
power.

1. Bring the car to one of the upper oors, possibly at the minimum height of 2500mm from
the pit boom and in any case OUT OF THE LANDING FLOOR (red led on the door of the
control panel OFF). In this way, the Safe Pit device can be easily enabled;
2. open the landing door using the unblocking key;
3. as soon as the landing door has been unblocked, a light and sound emergency signal will be
enabled, to remind the maintenance operator of the “Safe Pit” device to be acvated;
ulized a special lever;
4. In the event of an electric lock, release the lock bolt pushing the white buon A by using
the p of a screwdriver and CHECK THAT BY CLOSING THE DOOR IT DOES NOT LOCK;
5. USE DEVICES TO KEEP THE LANDING DOOR OPEN;
6. Acvate the “pit boom safety device” by operang it from the outside;
7. should you have trouble when posioning the Safe Pit device, and should the light and
sound signal sll be on, it means that the car is too close to the pit boom. So, close the
landing door, reset the control board and send the car to the upper oor. Get back to
the previous sequence of steps;
8. as soon as the light and sound signal is deacvated, pit access and maintenance
operaons inside are possible;
9. upon the work completed, leave the pit and close the Safe Pit. The light and sound signal
will be acve again unle the device has returned to the resng posion. Close the
landing door and check it is locked o correctly.
10. Make sure all the landing doors are closed and locked o.
11. Reset the control board in order to put the li into operaon.

4.5. INSIDE THE CAR
WORKING ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE CONTROL BOARD
The Plaorm li has been designed to guarantee an easy access to the safety brake directly from the car.
Follow the below instrucons:
• with the car staonary at one of the stops, open the Mains Supply Switch, press the STOP buon in car and make sure that the
li cannot be commanded from the control board;
• remove the service panel unscrewing the safety screws;

• put the service panel aside;
Make sure the wires are not pulled during the panel removal.
• eect the necessary operaons on the safety brakes;
• re-posion the service panel and x it with the safety screws;
• unblock the STOP buon in the car, close the Mains Supply Switch and check the correct funconing of the li.

• Remove the xing screws on one side of
the counter-ceiling
• Unhook the safety karabiner
• Completely reverse the counter-ceiling to access
the plaorm roof.
MAINTENANCE IN CASE OF COUNTER-CEILING
ACCESSING THE UPPER PART OF THE LIFT
The Plaorm Li has been designed in order to avoid maintenance operaons on the car roof that is normally not bearing: all
the sensors are xed above the frame, so that the operator can access easy them, by leaning over the car ceiling while wor-
king inside the car. The same thing concerns magnets and overrun switch posioning in the sha. Should the maintenance
require accesing components located on the roof, follow the below instrucons:
• press the STOP buon in the car and make sure that the li cannot be commanded from the control board; the STOP
must be enabled every me the safety mode is to be acvated;
• disable the STOP buon and bring the car to the height of 300mm under the upper landing level. In case of doorless car,
it is an easy operaon, while in presence of car doors, dierent aempts must be made, using COP buons and remai-
ning inside the car;
• in the required posion, press the STOP buon in the car and make sure that the li does not move. Remove the roof lid
unscrewing the two safety screws, and then pushing the away from the COP side. Now, a sound signal will warn that the
headroom spacer must be enabled;

The car roof is not bearing. Do not step on the roof, or on the rims.
• put the headroom spacer in vercall posion. The acousc signal will
be disabled, which means that the maintenance in the headroom is
possible;
• lean over the roof, using a safety ladder or plaorm, and eect the necessary maintenance operaons;
Do not step on the roof. It is not bearing.
• to move the car during the maintenance operaons, return inside the car completely, bring the headroom spacer to the resng
posion, close the safety lid completely and unblock the STOP buon in the car;
• Do not force any operaon with the operator leaning over the car roof, descent included.
• Do not force any operaon with the safety lid up – risk of collision (with sha elements) exists.
• on maintenance completed, return inside the car completely, bring
the headroom spacer to the resng posion, close the safety lid com-
pletely and unblock the STOP buon in the car; then check the correct
funconing of the li.

CAR MOVEMENT AND FLOOR LEVELLING
Check the correct car movement and stops using the related commands.
from the car: try to send the li to each of the stops (both during ascent and descent), che-
cking the correct automac stop, with the maximum dierence in height of 10 mm above
or under the landing level;
in absence of car doors: the li must stop immediately when the car buon is released;
inside the levelling zone the li will stop at the landing level;
from all the landings: try to call the li, checking the correct automac stop and the “busy”
and “present” lights funconing;
make sure that the li cannot be commanded from the COP without the enabling key.

EMERGENCY POWER SUPPLY
Check the eciency of the emergency power supply unit, as far as alarm, car emergency
lighng and forced descent to the lowest oor are concerned.
bring the car to the upper oor;
switch the power o by opening the power supply switch (not the Driving Force one) loca-
ted on the power supply board;
car emergency light will be enabled;
push the alarm buon: the siren will be acvated;
press and hold any call buon: the car will descend and stop at the lowest stop level, then
the door can be opened (sliding doors open automacally).
For baery replacement (baeries inside the control board) follow the below instrucons.
open the Driving Force Switch and enable the control board lighng;
disconnect the baey connectors, trying to avoit shorts;

Check the eciency of all the photocells or light barriers.
WITHOUT car doors:
remain in car and command the ascent;
outside the oor levelling zone, intercept the photocell area; the li will stop unl the
obstacle has been removed and the ascent has been newly commanded;
repeat with each photocell;
repeat inside the oor levelling zone.
WITH car doors:
Intercept the barrier area during the automac closure; the door will re-open.

LOCKS
Check the locks of all the landing doors.
Check the correct opening-closing movement, with and without the emergency key;
Check if the removable bridge on the xed contact, as well as the lock chain in the doorleaf
hole have been assembled properly;
Check the independence between the chain contact and the preliminary half-closing con-
tact.

PISTON SYNCHRONISM
Check if the two stems arrive to the end-of-run simultaneously (car in lower overrun).

MAUAL PUMP - EMERGENCY DESCENT BUTTON
Check the eciency of emergency ascent and descent devices.

GUIDE RAIL SHOES
The play of the shoes must be 1-2 mm. Major gaps can be made up for, by means of shoe
bearers adjustment; ortogonal gaps require shoe replacement.

GUIDE RAILS
The guide rails must be lubricated by a mix of oil (grade ≥ 220 cst, EP-free) and grease (50-
50).
The lowest piece must be lubricated from the pit.

OIL LEVEL
Let the air escape from the cylinder. Check if the oil level in the cylinder is above the mini-
mum (or covers the pump completely) when the car is staonary at the upper stop.
For topping up, use ISO VG 46 oils.

BLOCK VALVE
Check the block valve acvaon with the car fully loaded and staonary at the upper lan-
ding level.

remove the calibraon from the downspeed adjuctment screw (as described in the manual
of the hydraulic unit);
press and hold the red “Discesa di emergenza” emergency descent buon and the central
pin of the EVD valve;
the car will stop;
restore the calibraon of the downspeed adjuctment screw (as described in the manual of
the hydraulic unit).

Check for possible oil leakage from dierent components: hose break valve, hydraulic unit,
joints, pipes etc.
Verify the good condion of the hose and the related joints.
