Instructions:
For detailed information on operating you Light Rider Revolver, please refer to the following section.
For information on conserving charge, efficient use and regenerative braking refer to the following section.
2.3 Basic principles of the Light Rider Revolver
The Revolver uses multiple gyroscopes to create a balance system similar to the one used bythe human body allowing for an instinctive and naturalgliding motion.
For example, when walking forward, you will first lean forward and your feet will follow through with the action. With the Light Rider Revolver, when you lean forward,
you will move forward without taking a step. Likewise when you lean backwards
The Light Rider Revolver dynamically maintains balance by utilizing gyroscopes and accelerometers to note changes in the Revolvers position and utilizes a
servo-control system to make accurate adjustments.
Turning is achieved by leaning your right foot forward to turn left or turning your left foot forward to turn right. It is important to lean into the direction you wish
to go to keep your centre of gravity above the hoverboard.
Note that the Light Rider Revolver will self-balance, but every other movement is in response to your own movements.

3Riding your Light Rider Revolver
3.1 All about the Ride
Your Light Rider Revolver is a personal transportation device with highly technical components; Riding without following the instructions may result in
unpredictable performance and unexpected injuries. Please read the following section carefully.
3.1.1 Checklist BEFORE Riding
Inspect the self-balancing scooter for visible damage and faults.
Find an area to practice that is free of obstacles. A soft surface such as carpet, rubber matting or grass is preferred. Grass is harder to ride on but can be better for
confidence. It can be helpful to have something or someone to hold onto for the first few minutes.
Be aware of your surroundings so as to avoid colliding with people and obstacles.
Don’t ride on slippery or wet ground.
Wear a helmet and protective gear to avoid injury.
Don’t ride barefoot. Use flat soled shoes.
3.1.2 Start Riding
Step 1. Place your Light Rider Scooter on flat ground, then press power button. The battery and status indicators will light up and the hoverboard will beep
indicating it is ready.
Step 2. Firmlyplace one of your feet on the hoverboard. That side ofthe hoverboard will enter self-balancing state. Before putting your otherfoot on the hoverboard
it is helpful to angle your foot forward and backwards to get a feel for the movement of the board and to find the centre point where the scooter doesn’t move
backwards or forward. Once you have found that point, hold your foot in that position and step your other foot onto the hoverboard. If your Light Rider starts to

10
move suddenly back and forth, you need to realise that this is actually caused by your own body trying to adjust your balance. Focus on keeping your ankles still
to prevent unwanted movement.
Step 3. Once you are able to leave the balancing to your Light Rider, you will find yourself hovering upright with the Light Rider making small adjustments to
keep you balanced. To move, gently lean backwards or forwards. As you lean the hoverboard will move in that direction.
Step 4. Turning left and right. To turn while on your LightRider, you need to adjustthe angle of your feet so that one foot is tilted more than the other. For example,
to turn right, you would angle your left foot more, which will increase the speed on the left side and cause the hoverboard to turn right. Take care to adjust your
centre of balance if you are turning at speed. You will need to lean your body just like on a bicycle.
Step5. To end your ride, please step backwards of the scooter. Never step forwards off your Light Rider. The mechanics of the human body will cause your toes to
press down when stepping forward and the hoverboard will move forward at speed which could cause foot injuries or a fall. Never ever try to jump off the
hoverboard. As your feet leave the hoverboard they will activate the hoverboard. When this happens it will usually mirror your movements causing you to land
back on the hoverboard.
Safety Warning:
When you first start riding the scooter it may take a minute to autocorrect back to a balanced position if you turned on the power button without
aligning both sides the Light Rider evenly and horizontally to the ground. Please allow your Light Rider to completely self balance before attempting to
move.
3.1.3 Speed Limit Protection
The speed limit protection has more than one purpose. Firstly it conforms to Australian safety standards. Secondly it prevents injury from excessive speed. Thirdly
it attempts to prevent you from tumbling forward once you reach the highest speed by angling the pedals back into the neutral position. If there was no speed limit
protection then once you reached the maximum speed the hoverboard would no longer be able to balance and you would tumble off.
Precaution:
Once you are approaching maximum speed, as indicated by the warning beeps, please don’t force the speed higher.

11
3.1.4 Tilt Protection
If the LightRider tilts forward or back more than 15°the power will be cut to the wheels to prevent the wheels from causing injury if the Light Rider is overturned.
If this happens you will need to restart the Light Rider before it will function again.
Safety Warning:
The above is only true while riding the hoverboard. Never turn on your Light Rider while holding the wheels and never pick it up by the wheels while it
is switched on. If you find yourself doing this by accident, you can easily break the habit by googling “degloving” but it’s better to just trust us that it is
unpleasant.
3.1.5 Battery Capacity
The batterycapacity is indicated by the LED status lights which comprise of 5 LED lights in the shape ofa battery. All of them will be lightup, when the capability
over 85% approximately, and extinguish as the capacity decreases.
The 5 LED lights will continue flashing, if the capacity reaches less than 10%. An alarm will sound and the pedals will move into the neutral upright position to
force movement to stop. Once this happens, please do not restart your Light Rider without charging it.
Precaution:
If the battery is allowed to run down too close to 0% it will no longer be able to charge and you will need to have your Light Rider repaired. Warranty does not cover
damage to the battery caused by doing this.
Range may be decrease in winter, because the lithium battery discharges faster low temperatures environment.

12
3.1.6 Ingress Protection (water resistance rating)
Your Light Rider has an IP54 rating which means it will be protected from splashes and dust. It will not be protected when riding through water puddles.
3.2 Impacts of the Environment
3.2.1 The Range
Riding habits and environment will affect range dramatically. Here below listed some conditions have great influences.
Impact Factors
Reasons
Road Conditions
Range will be improved, riding on flat ground and will be adversely affected by uphill or rough terrain. Riding downhill can
increase range due to the regenerative braking feature.
Speed And Riding Habit
Riding at a constant and stable speed will improve range significantly compared to constant acceleration and deceleration.
Loading
Lighter loading increases range significantly.
Temperature
Temperature has a large influence over battery capacity and therefore affects range. Temperatures below 10°will begin to
affect battery capacity.
Battery
It is important to charge your Light Rider Revolver at regular intervals even if it is not being used. The batteries will slowly lose
their charge over time, even if it is not in use. If the battery charge gets too low, it will not be able to be charged and the battery
will need replacing. If the battery is well maintained it can last up to 500 full charge cycles before a noticeable drop in capacity.
Wind Direction
Range increases riding with the wind, decreased against the wind.

13
3.2.2 Riding at High Temperatures
The temperature of the motors, battery, pcb and other components may increase during heavy use or extreme temperatures. Riding speed will decrease, if
components reach temperatures over 50℃. This decrease helps prevent overheating and damage to components. If the hoverboard components reach 80℃an automatic
warning will sound. If this happens, please stop riding the hoverboard until it has cooled down.
3.2.3 Riding at Low Temperature
Your Light Rider is not designed for temperatures below -5℃. Operating your Light Rider in these temperatures will put excessive strain on the mechanical
components and there is a danger of the gyroscopes not functioning correctly to maintain self balancing.
3.2.4 Uphill
Riding uphill will rapidly deplete the battery. Attempting to ride hills steeper than the specified maximum will reduce the life of the hoverboard. The Light Rider
revolver willalso sense the greater load and reduce the maximum speed to protect components. This may result in sudden changes of speed due to the system dynamically
reducing the max speed.
3.2.5 Downhill
When you are riding downhill the electric motors turn into generators, which convert the kinetic energy into electricity which is then stored in the battery. This will
extend the range you can travel on a single charge.
However, if you continuously ride downhill when the battery is already at full capacity you may over charge the battery and damage it. The system will attempt to
prevent the battery from overcharging but there are limits to how effective this is on continuous and steep hills.

14
4Other important battery information
This section will shows how to charge and maintain your battery for continual safe use.
4.1 Using Battery Safety

and the hoverboard should not be used. Please contact our repair department.
Only use the supplied charger.
4.3 Battery Changes
Under normal conditions the battery can be charged up to 500 times before a reduction in capacity. Generally the reduction after 500 cycles is 20%.
Safety Warnings
Charging time for the Light Rider Revolver is 1.5 hrs charging will automatically stop when the battery is fully charged, but it is recommended to charge only
under conditions where it can be supervised.
Please charge battery fully if it is not going to be used for a long time. The battery will slowly discharge over time, so frequent charging is needed to maintain the
battery.
Do not allow the battery to fully discharge from either excessive use or slow discharge through lack of use.
Please keep your charging environment clean and free of dust and water.
