3 Hour Maintained Emergency Drop Light
We are delighted that you have purchased this Light fitting. Please read this instruction anual before installation and retain
for the user/ aintenance engineer for future reference.
Our products are designed to co ply with the reco endations of BS EN 60598-1:2008 code of practice for e ergency
lighting of pre ises and be installed by a co petent person in accordance with the relevant wiring regulations.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Installation ust be carried out by a skilled/co petent electrician who is fa iliar with the appropriate standards and
technical require ents of the appliance and also taking in to consideration the latest building regulations.
Not suitable for use with di er switches, Install in accordance with I.E.E. Wiring Regulations.
This product must be earthed and NOT be subject to an electrical insulation test (500/1000v)
Please note: - The LED s contained in this fitting are not designed to be replaced.
The fitting is an un-switched aintained fitting i.e. the LED la p will be per anently lit and cannot be used a non- aintained
operation.
This lu inaire is suitable only for indoor use in dry locations. If operation is required in da p, dusty or corrosive locations
care ust be taken to select a suitable fitting for the location.
INSTALLATION
Before starting the installation ensure that the electricity supply is isolated and that it cannot be re-energised accidentally
1) Find a suitable location to install the fitting.
2) Undo screws at either end of ceiling box and re ove cover.
3) Un plug ulti connector and use the case of ceiling box as te plate and ount in required location.
4) Thread ains cable through rear of case with appropriate cable protection, i.e. glanding and connect into ter inal block
and co pleting ter inating connections.
5) Re connect ulti plug connector and re fit ceiling box cover with screws supplied.
6) Restore the supply and check that the green LED indicator illu inates to confir the batteries are charging
7) Allow a short period for part charging of the batteries and then isolate the ains supply to the fitting in order to check the
correct operation of the fitting in e ergency ode. It is reco ended to initially charge batteries for 36 hours fro new to
ensure full e ergency duration is achieved.
COMMISSIONING
This lu inaire has an integral test facility located on the side of the fitting indicated by 3 LED’s. To check the E ergency
operation of the fitting, press and hold the button arked test. The LEDs ark “C” and “T” should extinguish and the fitting
should re ain lit. The lu inaire is now in e ergency ode and is operating fro the internal batteries. To return to nor al
operation release the test button the LEDs ark “C” and “T” should relight and the lu inaire should re ain lit. The lu inaire
is now back in its nor al operation ode.
Please note: - When in e ergency ode the lu inaire will not appear as bright as when in nor al operation
