Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing a Livith product.
This Manual has been created to assist you during the installation, use and
maintenance phases and to provide you with the necessary information on the product
you have purchased.
The installation, use and maintenance of Livith products must be carried out aer viewing
the following manual. Livith declines all responsibility for malfunctions related to the
incorrect performance of these operations or to the use of the components of the devices
in an improper way and not in compliance with the indications of this manual and of the
product assembly instructions.

The ladder produced by Livith S.p.A. is a protection device for access at height as
indicated in the TECHNICAL STANDARDS.

6 All Livith devices and systems have been produced and tested in the Laboratory
in accordance with the current regulations.
Livith S.p.A. operates as a quality company, therefore it
guarantees the quality of its products and manufacturing
processes through the aixing of the appropriate marking
and ISO 9001: 2018 certication.
Simple ladders can be used in industrial, civil or military environments to allow quick and
safe access. The aluminum cage ladders are suitable for indoor and outdoor use as they
are made of material resistant to atmospheric agents.
Any other use is forbidden, in particular it is prohibited to employ them as devices
designed to li equipments or other loads.
Their use by qualied personnel is strictly recommended.
Livith declines all responsibility for damage to people or things related to the use
of devices with unsuitable PPE.

ADVICES AND REQUIREMENTS
The use of the ladder must be carried out by competent operators.
Before using the ladder, check that it is free from defects and complete with
all its elements, otherwise promptly notify the supplier.
The device must be used as access at height with an
inclination of about 15°from the vertical1
In practical terms, the apex of the ladder must be approximately at a height
from the ground equal to 4 times the foot. Another approximate way of correct inclination
of the ladder in support is with the elbow as shown in the gure.
It is also recommended that the ladder exceeds the landing platform of 1m in height.

Do not place the top of the ladder on non-resistant surfaces (stained glass
windows, gutter canals, plasterboard walls, tight ropes, etc.)
Make sure that the ladder is adjusted and tied up in such a way as to avoid
skidding, slipping, overturning, swinging and accentuated inections.
The choice of the type of xings to be used for the ladder must be made by a
qualied technician by calculation.
The minimum distance between one person and another simultaneously on the ladder is
4,00 linear meters.

All Livith devices have a very high degree of corrosion resistance.
All the main components of the simple ladder are in aluminum while the assembly screws
are in stainless steel as well as the anchor brackets.
Warranty valid for repair and/or replacement services starting from the date indicated on
the purchase invoice of the product itself.
During this period of validity of the guarantee, Livith reserves the right to replace the
products subject to intervention with new products of its choice, as long as they have the
same functionality.
The overall coverage of the warranty on the material and/or on manufacturing defects
is limited to the purchase price incurred by the customer for the single product.
Any service provided by Livith during the guarantee period does not give the right to an
extension of the guarantee itself.
Finally, Livith ensures that the purchased product is free from defects and
declines all responsibility for defects not attributable to the manufacturer.

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Livith Warranty does NOT cover:
System malfunctions or damages to its components due to failure to comply with the
assembly and installation instructions given in this manual.
System malfunctions or damages to its components due to the use of unqualied
installers and/or to non-compliance with the state of the art.
Malfunctions of the system or damages to its components due to unforeseeable force
majeure causes (such as particularly severe environmental conditions, lightning,
earthquakes, tornadoes, oods, res, vandalism, natural disasters, wars).
System malfunctions or deterioration of its components due to failure to comply with the
periodic maintenance and inspection times recommended in this Manual.
System malfunctions or damages to its components due to modications or alterations of
the products not authorized by Livith, as well as the use of non-original Livith components
or accessories.
System malfunctions or damages to its components due to incorrect storage and/or
transport before and during the installation phases.
Even in the cases of validity of the guarantee, it does not include the costs due to the
disassembly, reassembly and transport of the replaced product, as well as the purchase
and/or the supply of the material necessary for the restoration of the various components.
The warranty does not cover the costs of replacement and correct restarting of the system
and of its components following events of falls from height.
Periodic checks
The periodicity of checks at sight must be daily and in the case of non-daily use, each time
before use.
Here aer are the most signicant checks to be carried out:
• integrity of the uprights and of steps/rungs
• integrity of the anchoring device to the wall
• integrity of the coupling of the connection pin between the modular components
when included
Periodically carry out general cleaning of the ladder, using a mild detergent.
Any repairs must be carried out only by the manufacturer, in order not to lose the validity
of the certications issued by the manufacturer for himself each type of ladder.
In case of replacement of components or accessories, only original elements must be
used
